Lcoral, after my first son my legs were swollen for almost 10 days cos I was stressed out. Stay put on the bed all day except if you wanna use the toilet.
If there are too many peeps in your house 'staying with baby and new mother' buh actually disturbing your peace with endless TV, chatter, questions and requests, please flush them out.

EDD was 10th February 2016.
My TWINS came on their EDD. Percentage of babies that come on their EDD is 5%.

December 2015, I was having on and off contractions, sometimes it feels as if I'm going to pop but for where my babies didn't show December. I hoped for January delivery too but for where?
Feb 8th early mor mor while I was urinating inside the plastic for urine test at the hospital, I wiped with my hand and felt a thick like thing, waved it off and cleaned up. While going for anti-natal the same day, I started feeling mild ache at the left side of my stomach, stayed through the anti-natal clinic and decided to see the doctor. When the doctor saw me, he was like madam you're in labor, go and meet the matron to test you. Shuo, I smiled, just like that? I'm not in labor jooor, how can I be in labor and not feel any thing. OK so I saw the matron, she tested me and said I'm 3cm dilated "you're admitted madam, call home and tell them to bring your baby things" I lied i don't have anyone to call at home that I'll go bring my things And be back. I got home, told my mom, placed my bag inside the car and decided to stay till labor intensify bit for where? Na so I chilled throughout Monday Feb 8th, no show. I told mum I'll go in on Tuesday to get my card so they don't lose it as you won't be attended to if it's not found. DH came around and was with us throughout the day Tuesday Feb 9th. I didn't want to tell him because he's the type that can't keep such news to himself and I don't want to cast myself. Few minutes after 6pm that DH left, I told My mom let's go to the hospital, I'll get My card and we'll be back home. On getting to the hospital, I saw my DH 's elder brother's wife and I muttered see me running from casting finally casted. I went in, was checked and I was told 4cm. The nurses were like wow 4cm and you're not feeling any pains and I said yes. I was Sha admitted by force around 7pm. I called DH told him what's up and he came down to the hospital, bought me food which I consumed rush rush and I asked him to get more so I can prepare for the task ahead. I started walking around the hospital with DH till he left at 11pm. The nurses were even telling me to save my strength and be on the bed, for where I didn't listen. Throughout the night of 9th/10th I was just walking around the hospital and making updates here as I couldn't sleep.
Wednesday 10th February, the sleep I couldn't sleep the previous night then catch up with me and I started feeling real sleepy just that by then the contractions were now strong, I just kept to my Bed and breath in and out when they come. DH brought food, I couldn't eat, my mum also went home to prepare cat fish pepper soup and left me with SIL who also left for home (their mind dey at rest as I no dey shout). I was just there on the bed until few minutes after 1pm I started feeling the urge to push. The feeling was really strong I called to the matron *matron, I feel like pushing* she put on her gloves, came to my bed side, looked how Calm I am, she then changed her mind and said she'll go and call the doctor to check me as she doesn't want to check and the doctor will have to check again (for her mind strong contractions never catch me as I no dey shout.. Lol). When the doctor came and checked me, he said madam you're fully dilated try and get up and walk to the delivery room, that's how rush rush started, they packed my babies things and asked one of the ward assistant to help walk me to the delivery room.
At the delivery room, the doctor broke my water and I was asked by the matron to push at the next contraction, two pushes and my Prince came out weighing 2.5kg at 1:40pm. My Princess came with her leg first, the matron held her legs and pulled her and she got stuck at the head because she was raising her two hands up, the matron tried pushing her back in, no way, pulled her out, no way, she was stuck. Someone ran to call the doctor and I started shouting and praying (Kehinde come out in Jesus Name....). The doctor came and started turning her, he turned and turned and I was just there pushing even though I knew the pushes were not doing anything I kept doing it and praying. When she finally came out, thick blood clot were all over her, and she was as black as black, the matron quickly asked for the generator to be put on so she can use electronic mucus extractor, she then changed her mind and started using the one I bought and I started praying out loud (Kehinde please cry in Jesus Name... ) after a while I heard a faint cry, she was then put inside a machine for a few minutes (dunno the name) but I know it a warmer cos the doctor put his hand to test the degree of hotness that's how my Princess was saved, she weighs 3.2kg and birth time was 2:00pm.
It ended in praise. God used the doctor, nurses and even cleaners on duty for me. Twin birth via VD, no tears, we were discharged the next day and my Prince and Princess are alive and healthy.

To all bumping mamas, it will end in praise for you all. To the ATC mamas, received the anointing of twins and triplets in Jesus Name This year is your year. And we the Vigilante Mums, may God keep giving us the strength to carry on, may God protection be over our LOs in Jesus Name. Amen.

Mama that asked about LUTH registration, please go early. Registration is 7:30am, pleaseeeeee go early. They can do shakara e. if you register on Friday it means that is your antenatal day oo.

Fee: if you have used luth before and have registered and also have the blue card, go with it, (I used them briefly when I was waiting so I had it but misplaced it, they do me shakara before registering me). Registration for antenatal is 1150 naira. basically you won't be asked to pay for anything else except for your schedules. Your blood will be taken for test, you do hiv test with hiv adviser, result is in five mins, urine test to check for sugar and what what.

For tt, I hardly would think tt is a must at 7weeks cos most people except for threatened abortion don't visit clinic for antenatal care until 12weeks or even more, and most clinics don't register you until you are 10weeks n more and it until you register you are given tt. I had my first dose at 13weeks and the second four weeks later. For now that all I was told I need.

First dose can be taken anytime but should come early enough and at first trimester. I will check the page the schedule was posted and refer you, it correspond with what I was given.

Hi nurse kaffy pls I want to come and register for antenatal in luth. How much is the registration and what will be required of me. I will be 12 weeks on friday and I want to come and register on dt same friday but my husband who is a doctor said its too early, but me i want to register o.

Hi, try to reduce the quantity you eat at a go. Eliminate soft drinks or gassy drinks. Take sips of water and avoid late night meals. You didn't indicate how far you've gone( weesk) if you are in your third trimester then you need to adhere. To all I wrote + eliminate. Food

Also, you had your CS 5years ago, thats a considerable length of time and IMO you are good to go the VBAC route.

...eclampsia in the first pregnancy led to the CS. Every pregnancy is unique, this time around, you shall not experience such and with your baby in the right position, itz a smooth VBAC all the way.

Lastly, you gotta trust your doctor, else, he/she has no business been ur doctor.

In concluding my epistle, lets trust the great Physician, the Balm in gilead for our five minutes painless VBAC. Kindly hold on to Ps 66:7 - Before she travailed, she brought forth;before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

I have googled a lot about it too even right from the onset n all dey say is dey dont do them together, bloddy.

Madam kaffy u sent me a mail, buh I think its empty. When I found out about the fibroids n pregnancy i wanted to come to luth but I heard they usually refer to other places, so i just boned it. Will v to come there then. Just about 2months left for me.
I thank God sha, He has been faithful all this months n I know he will bring it to completion. So far i have had just one stay in hosp due to the pain, d rest i have been able to manage at home. Cant wait to hold my baby

No o dt is a wrong information, I had my myomectomy in luth. Luth do not refer rather other hospitals refer to them, by the way who will they refer to because as far as am concern I think they are the highest authority in medical field in lagos.

Pls pls and pls let us not be quick to judge they are trying and the services are free. My hubby he's a medical doctor and he works in a government primary health care center, in this facility they don't do cs. So not doing cs is not peculiar to only redeem maternity home. Primary health care don't do cs if their is any complication they also refer and God has been helping them atleast as far has I know they haven't recorded any loses. It's not about the best of hands but of God that showeth mercy.

By the way they only have midwives there in redeem maternity home and not doctors so there is no way they will carry out cs even in primary health care that they have doctors they don't do surgery there.

That's a wrong vision IMO, absolutely nothing wrong in hoping for the best and still preparing for the rest! So what happens if a patient has to be operated on to save her life or that of her unborn child? They referre? Time is usually of the essence in such cases o!
I'd advise all expectant mothers to register with a hospital that can handle ANY emergency! Faith alone is not enough.

As for the redeem maternity Durostay I wouldn't generalize o! But one of their outlets wound me no be small! So am standing by you on this, and if one must use them please register with another that is also close to you to avoid stories that touch.

Tyconcepts I take God name beg you stay away from sniper! The composition of that stuff is too hazardous for humans to inhale! And 2-3hours ventilation isn't enough to rid the house of its residue, it has a long term effect on the lungs. I don't know why that thing is sold OTC.

Lawvlypearl take it in good faith, I also cried when my scan revealed that I was having a boy! I have been praying and hoping for a girl! In fact I refused shopping for any boy things and was only picking out girl stuffs (na so my belief strong reach) but now looking at my son is all I do! He is such an adorable baby remember man proposes while God disposes! God will grant you your baby boy next time.

@ Redeemed, thanks for sharing your story. I already have a Myomectomy scheduled. I think am just getting the last minute cold feet or something like that as a human being. I've made up my mind with my DH to go for it as we believe it will give us the results we need faster. I don't doubt that supplements or drugs work but a few true life stories I heard from people is that it could take up to a year of consistently using an efficient method and its still 50/50 and what works for one might not work for the others. I'll just switch off the doubts in my mind and focus on getting good results after the surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery and speedy bfp.

it amazes me how scans shows a lesser number while during open Myomectomy several are removed. Scan shows I have just 3. will see how many is discovered and removed then. Are there precautions or supplements you're taking to heal faster, prevent scar tissue and adhesions? just wondering if your Dr is doing anything extra. Thanks for sharing.

Babes relax I had a myomectomy sep and to glory of almighty God I serve I conceived in dec 2015. All is well as for adhesions and scar tissue if u have a good gynea he will use surgicel to prevent it, although d surgicel is a bit pricy one cost 10k and u will use 2. Relax and but ur trust on the almighty God the greatest of all physicians.The God dt cannot be subjected to any medical analysis.
