modelmike7:And I don't see them stopping their wailing anytime soon. For sustenance, I heard they now even created their own logo... Whichever way, we will continue to support Buhari and signs are already in the air that the country will redirect its course from the failure dispensed by the previous administration to a pathway of hope and prosperity. That is what change is all about.

The All Progressives Congress has said the Peoples Democratic Party as a party cannot provide a worthwhile opposition to the APC-led Federal Government if its spokesman continues to issue “convoluted and fustian statements” in order to be in the news. ”Today’s statement is the most tortuous yet by the PDP and, honestly, sounds more like a compendium of beer parlour gossips and side talks than a serious criticism of a sitting government,” the APC said in a statement in Lagos on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. ”To be in opposition does not mean you have to constitute yourself to a nuisance by rushing to the press with all sorts of hot air statements. It is the quality, rather than the frequency, of your interventions that makes you relevant as an opposition in a democracy.” It said in the light of the above, the APC would not dignify the latest in a series of confused statements by the PDP with any response. ”We can only say that we have been justified, and indeed prescient, in our earlier offer to organise a crash course for Olisa Metuh(National Publicity Secretary, PDP) so that he can more effectively perform his role as the spokesman of the main opposition party. ”Those who thought we were joking with that offer can now see that indeed, Mr. Metuh is seriously in need of some form of coaching on his new role,” APC said. The party said for the record, no government in Nigeria’s recent history had been as focused and systematic as the one headed by President Muhammadu Buhari in restoring good governance, especially “coming after the worst stretch of governance, lasting all of 16 years, by the immoral and reckless PDP.” APC added, “It is worth noting that even the leader of the world’s foremost democracy, President Barack Obama, said that much during the recent visit to the US of President Buhari, when he described him (President Buhari) as a man of integrity with a clear agenda. ”President Buhari is working hard every day in the priority areas of tackling security and corruption, rebooting the economy to provide jobs for our teeming youths and generally to restore good governance. We are sorry for those who are too blind with hatred to see this. ”We know that the PDP is terrified by the expose of how the Federal Government it led has looted the treasury and created an environment for impunity to thrive, as well as the fate that will befall those who were part of the show of shame and disgust. ”But we assure Nigerians that this government will not interfere with the work of the security and anti-corruption agencies, and also that under the Buhari Administration, only the guilty needs to be afraid. ”In the meantime, no amount of mumbo jumbo from the PDP will stop the Buhari Administration from its tough but inevitable task of restoring Nigeria’s lost glory.” http://www.punchng.com/news/pdps-style-of-opposition-hollow-convoluted-apc/ |

Don't blame me for using the phrase 'wailing wailer'. We will continue to use it and it will continue to bite and pain you from head to toe until you also desist from making baseless and senseless remarks about the president. |
ApcSucks:It will shock you by the time EFCC starts shipping gej and his crew to kirikiri... |
UncleJudax:What is dis mumu saying ![]() You surely have a badly-concocted brain if you cannot see through the light linen of transparency that the president is taking gigantic steps to curb excesses of ministers; excesses that we witnessed under gej and no one was able to stem the mismanagement and corruption. I won't blame people like you. I repeat, you will only continue to wail and wail while this administration sees through its tenure. Deal with it. Stop hating. Stop being a wailing wailer. |

THE Federal Government has said President Muhammadu Buhari would only probe former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. Delving into the activities of other past administrations of Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Sani Abacha and others could amount to waste of time. Meanwhile, a group of senators called ‘Like Minds Senators’ on Thursday said they found the decision by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to invite the wife of the Senate President, Mrs. Toyin Saraki “in connection with an unknown investigation very curious.” Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said Buhari had stated during his campaign that his probe would only be limited to the immediate past administration. “If you recall, that was already settled before he was inaugurated as president. He has said he will not waste time digging into the far past. The far past will includes Obasanjo and others,” Adesina said. The senators in a statement signed on their behalf by Senator Dino Melaye stated that they hoped that the invitation of Mrs Saraki was not politically motivated or linked with the on-going leadership tussle in the Senate. Noting that the decision of the EFCC to invite Mrs. Saraki created a lot of coincidences which any discerning mind will not want to ignore, the group said: “Though, we do not want to make any hasty conclusion, we are surprised that about five years after the Sarakis left Government House, Ilorin, the EFCC suddenly realised the need to invite the wife. We hope this is not part of the plot we have heard about aimed at wrestling the Senate President down with different tactics.” “We have heard some of our colleagues and their sponsors boasting about throwing all types of mud at the leadership of the Senate in the bid to force it to accept their conditions. The EFCC definitely should perform its lawful duties, but we warn that it should not return us to the dark days when the anti-graft agency was frequently and flagrantly used as a political weapon,” Melaye stated. He added that members of the Like Minds group will continue to watch closely developments around Mrs Saraki’s invitation and will later make its position known to members of the public. http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/2015/07/why-we-are-probing-only-jonathans-administration-presidency/

As part of the ongoing reform of several strata of the Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that ministers won’t be having the luxury of awarding contracts or getting corrupt in how contracts are awarded. Speaking with journalists in Washington DC during his four-day visit to the United States, Buhari said ministers would no longer have power to award contracts. In his words, ‘I have already acted to remove political control over awarding of contracts away from ministers, who use them to get political favours and kickbacks,’ In furtherance, the president disclosed that the introduction of a new system of plea bargaining to encourage looters of the government money and oil thieves to return the people’s stolen commonwealth. » ‘I will introduce a new system of plea bargain, that will allow those who have stolen assets and funds to return them – but if they do not take that opportunity we will pursue them through the courts.’ Noting that corruption is one of the top issues facing Nigeria, Buhari disclosed further that his government is taking several steps to end the menace. ‘Corruption is one of the top three issues facing Nigeria, along with insecurity and unemployment. We must act to kill corruption or corruption will kill Nigeria. I am determined to lead that fight. ‘My government is already taking several steps to cut out the cancer of corruption that has been eating away at the state for so long. ‘We are reorganizing the existing plethora of anti-corruption bodies into single powerful agency that will have the focus, power and budget to clamp down on corruption at the federal and state levels,’ the president told journalists. http://pulse.ng/politics/buhari-president-says-ministers-wont-award-contracts-again-id4010267.html

Johnnoah1st:What you typed shows that your reasoning is purely hollow and empty. As far as I'm concerned, PMB is taking a bold and gigantic step to probe misdeeds and wrongdoings of gej and his crew. If you are not satisfied with it, the lagoon is big enough to grant you free accommodation. People like you will continue to wail till thy kingdom come. |
ifelovemi:Abeg, no mind dat guy...just spewing rubbish! |
Johnnoah1st:What is dis one saying ![]() What's Nigeria's business with anyone being gentle? Gross misconduct took place during this man's tenure and you are there talking rubbish about gentility. Sometimes, I amazed by the mental capacity of some people that post comment on NL. If not that gej has been saturated with corruption, why did he not probe when he was in power? Rubbish talk! |
PassingShot:Unfortunately that's the mess we find ourselves in. To know that our so-called youths are the ardent supporters of corrupt leaders makes matters worse and does not shine any light on the future of this country. |
