lamicome:
I hate to talk politics, but if there are any Political gladiators in Oyo State, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe is one of them. She has stretched herself to make her impact felt in Oluyole Federal Constituency, as large as it is.

Coming here to say she has done nothing is below the belt. She needs not blow her trumpet, there are evidences around.
Water projects, Empowerment programmes, scholarship and other schemes are just few of her landmark achievements.

No need to trade words...we pray she recovers speedily in Jesus' name.

God bless you for this comment..

Chairperson House Committee on Diaspora Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe gives Goodwill Message at Literacy Round Table Discussion- "Literacy And Multilingualism: A Bedrock For Sustainable Development"

Saturday, 18th January 2020.

Mrs. Omoshalewa Aofiyebi giving the goodwill remarks of HON. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe k at the Literacy Round Table Discussion organised by the National Commission For Mass Literacy, Adult And Non-Formal Education Abuja.

Hon. Sadipe apologised for her absence at the round table discussion and was well represented by her SLA Mrs. Omoshalewa Aofiyebi and LA Mr. Lekan Olusada. She started by Commending the leadership of the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literary, Adult & Non-Formal Education in its relentless pursuit of productive education to Nigerians not captured by the mainstream early schooling platform.

"No doubt, this round table is an idea whose time is NOW! It is about time; Nigeria harnesses the rich potentials and resources that abound in its multilingualism for national development.
According to Peter Trudgill, a sociolinguist, academic and author (1983), Multilingualism is a sociolinguistic phenomenon that arises as a result of the existence of several dissimilar languages within a language community."

HON. Sadipe in her speech suggested to the commission to utilize the opportunity of this round-table discussion to proffer lasting reforms by the inclusion of local languages alongside the official language. "Encouraging indigenous languages will spur sense of belonging and unity as well as increase the enrollment of the targeted group, while enabling the beneficiaries the ability to contribute their quota to enhance productivity to the national economy". And in the immediate long run this will cause the needed sustainable national development.

The Chairperson House Committee on Diaspora, HON. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe also used the medium to assure the commission that the 9th Assembly under its current leadership would provide legislative collaboration in formulating policy that would further enhance their goals through legislation "I wish to convey the goodwill of Rt. Hon. Speaker, House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila and the committee on Diaspora towards this round-table discussion. On behalf of the committee and indeed the members of the House of Representatives, I wish to assure all stakeholders of the readiness of 9th Assembly to partner with the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult & Non-Formal Education in formulating polices that will help actualize its noble goals through legislation."

RE : DC construction Issue on Olomi Olojuoro Ijebu-Igbo Ataegba Poor Road Construction !!

The committee on Public Petition have recalled the petitioner and DC ENGINEERING to come for another hearing, on a later date yet to be confirmed by our source, but the Office of Oluyole Federal Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe on Friday submitted another 20 copies of the Petition to the clerk of the committee on Public Petition.

What happen in the First meeting?

The Committee claimed that the petitioner where not present. Petitioner being the community that signed the petition and their lawyer representatives, the committee claimed that a staff of the National Assembly "Engr kunle P.A" cannot stand in for the petitioner despite being a member of the community, they also claimed that another group have come from the community and are in talk with the contractors. To my knowledge this groups are some bad people of the community who wants to cut a deal for themselves at the expense of the community and as a result leaving the road in its current dilapidated state.
But with the intervention and influence of Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe in the house, she immediately addressed the issue by speaking with the Chairman of the public Petition committee and called his attention to the issue, the House Committee has resolved that the petitioner and the defendants would be summoned for another hearing at the National Assembly and the community representatives that signed the petition must be surely represented.

Members of Olomi community have also come out to stand with Hon Tolu Akande-Sadipe to appreciate her efforts on the construction of the Olomi Olojuoro road and pledge their loyalty and support for her.
Report had it that the some other groups are trying to close a behind the door deal with the contractor to the detriment of the community, after Hon. Tolu submitted the petition on the floor of the House of Representatives on behalf of the community.
The community members are really upset with with the members that oppose the progress for self gratification.

Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe K the Chairman House Committee on Diaspora has been very active in the 9th Assembly and also in her Constituency, the people of Oluyole can't be less pleased with her quality representation.

Tolu Akande - Sadipe K Triumph as Tribunal dismissed the Case against her emergence

A Tribunal sitting at Iyaganku on Saturday 7th, September, 2019 affirmed the victory of Hon Tolu Akande-Sadipe, Member House of Representatives, Oluyole Federal Constituency having regarded the petition orchestrated by the PDP aspirant Mr. Mogbonjubola , as being baseless and lacks merit.

You will recall that Mr. of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after the National Assembly election held on 23rd February, 2019 petitioned the tribunal that there were irregularities in ward 2, ward 3 and ward 10 of the said local government.

The petitioner was said to have stated that the agents in those wards were made to sign under duress while there was malpractices some wards too.

The Tribunal today upheld the victory of the law maker and regarded that the petition filed against her lacks merit.

This is evident in the mischievous contradictions in relevant documentary evidence presented before the Tribunal and the account given by witnesses that the form EC8A were signed in respect to the order given to them by the party and not signed under duress.

Politics / South Africa Educational System Should Tell Complete Historical Narrative-SADIPE by lolusada: 9:54am On Sep 05, 2019
In a recent discussion with the Chairman House Committee on Diaspora Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, Oyo State.
She condemned the killing of Nigerians in South Africa. Hon. Akande-Sadipe called out the South African Executive and Legislative arms of Government, the Media and the Education Sector to change their rhetoric to deeply reflect the historic narrative and the important role Nigeria played against apartheid. This should contribute immensely to a positive reorientation of the South African Populace
Tolu Akande-Sadipe said "my thoughts on the violence in South Africa.
The word XENOPHOBIA is an excuse for MASS PREMEDITATED MURDER. This must stop, not by violent retaliation but by reorientation. One way is through aggressive historical narratives. The Executive and Legislative arms of the South African Government, The South African Media, The South African Educational System should tell the complete historical narrative on the role played by Nigeria in its fight for liberation from Apartheid. The South African Judiciary should be just but harsh when cases of Xenophobia come before them. The Nigerian Expatraite (Because that's what they are) residing in South Africa, who sees a business opportunity and takes it, doesn't deserve to loose his life or have his business burnt down. He is not the enemy. This is misplaced aggression, a result of post apartheid economic disparity, which should be addressed through social economic policies rather than the blame game against African Expatriates.
I sympathize with Nigerians living in South Africa. The sad news that Nigerians are again being humiliated & traumatized in South Africa has been nothing but disheartening because it could have been prevented, I urge the South Africa police to ensure that all lives and properties of all are protected without any bias against foreigners and to avoid being complicit in the attacks. Africa needs to unite for the collective progress of Africa
I assure Nigerians at home and in Diaspora that we the 9th Assembly led by Mr Speaker Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila will collaborate with other relevant arms of government to ensure that a speedy diplomatic solution is achieved.

Politics / Violence Against Women & Children - Hon. Tolu Akande Sadipe by lolusada: 9:05am On Jul 18, 2019
I am very Emotional about Rape

The sexual violence re-orientation of our police force is very very key because most times when cases of rape are brought before the police they don't pay much attention to it, when you see the kind of harm being done to especially a minor that is being raped there must be situation whereby the police have a human attitude to Rape

Motion was raised by Hon. Shina Abiola Peller (APC: Oyo) on need to tackle the scourge of rape and other sexual offences against children in Nigeria

Amendment request by Hon. Tolu Akande-Sadipe on the need to include a special Department in the Police Force dedicated to Rape in general and that of Minors, to be staffed with special police personnel who have gone through Psychological counselling programs, to prepare them to handle the cases properly without any bias against the victim as is prevalent in our society.

Education / Nans Commend Scholarship By Federal Representatives by lolusada: 9:15am On Jul 12, 2019
NANS, OYO STATE COMMENDS HON. TOLULOPE AKANDE- SADIPE FOR HER SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

Oyo State unarguably has a huge concentration of intellectually sound and brilliant students, our students are making tremendous impacts in various walks of life, from ICT to engineering, law, medicine and others.

The best is however yet to come as a lot of brilliant students are incapacitated by finances. Our brilliant minds are dropping out of school for financial reasons every session.

The National Association of Nigerian Students, Oyo State therefore commends the lawmaker representing Oluyole federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe for the well thought scholarship scheme.

This scheme if properly monitored to reach "really indigent" students will guarantee completion of their academic programs and empower them to compete favorably with their peers.

We urge other political office holders, philanthropists and well-to-do individuals to follow suit as no nation or state can grow beyond her level of education.

We also urge eligible students from Oluyole federal constituency to apply for the scholarship before the it closes.

God bless Hon. Tolulope.

God bless Oyo State.

God bless Nigeria.

Asubiojo Olujuwon (Marshal)
Chairman, NANS, Oyo state.

Education / Tolu Akande Sadipe - Kellogs Superstar 5million Scholarship For 50 Student by lolusada: 10:41am On Jul 01, 2019
Tolu Sadipe beautiful speech

I am truly honored to be a part of this initiative and really appreciate the opportunity given to speak on the

“Importance of Education”.

What is our understanding of Education?
1.Education means acquiring various skills in diverse fields that are vital to life.
2.Education means Curiosity, it signifies, it connotes survival.
3.Education encourages communication.
4.These skills can be acquired through classroom training and during the course of our life.
There is a saying “A man without Education (Not just Education, (but good quality education) is like a building without a foundation” (the foundation must be right otherwise the building, will sink or collapse)
this clearly points out how vital and essential education is to humanity and society
Education has the potential for transforming a nation thereby contributing immensely to progress and economic growth.
Every citizen is a pillar of the nation and a nation rests on billions of such pillars.
The more educated the pillars are, the stronger the nation’s foundation would be.
For this reason, many countries provide free funding for primary and secondary education to improve their socioeconomic performance.

The Benefits & Challenges
Education promotes:
Economic growth
Equality

Education Reduces:
Crime
Gender Violence
Child marriages
Maternal death rates
(studies have proven that Maternal death rates would drop by two-thirds if all mothers received at least primary education and this would save a minimum of 189,000 lives.
Poverty

In the words of Mehruba Chowd- hury

"many of these benefits of education are interrelated in that they work together to improve a person’s condition in life. "

Unfortunately, despite the numerous benefits of education, there are many places in the world where access to education is very limited. Nigeria being one of them

Many children are deprived of education due to
a lack of funds
A lack of schools in their neighborhoods
Lack of commitment on the part of the teachers and educational institutions

The lack of access to education contributes to greater problems such as poverty, inequality, crime and violence.

Just building a school in a remote area might help hundreds of children rise out of poverty.

According to UNICEF (August 2018), one in every five of the world’s out-of-school children is in Nigeria.
1. Even though primary education is officially free and compulsory, about 10.5 million of the country’s children aged 5-14 years are not in school.
2. Only 61 percent of 6-11 year-olds regularly attend primary school
3. only 35.6 percent of children aged 36-59 months receive early childhood education.
4. Out of school children in Nigeria is a time bomb Solutions
Government, Organizations and Individuals should all come together to:
Ensure free early childhood education (Nursery to Primary Level) for the under privileged children
Promote Scholarship Programs
Offer training to Teachers
Improve teacher’s welfare
Create an enabling environment and infrastructure for proper education.
I would like to implore us all to take a STAND FOR EDUCATION I suggest that we all make all the concerted efforts to spread /support education.
1. Volunteer to teach in our spare time,
2. Assist the underprivileged in acquiring education, volunteer with an NGO working for the cause of education among many other solutions.
3. Partner with the public sector on education.
The objective is to make our nation more educated and promote economic growth.
Kudos to Kellogg Tolaram LFTZ, Kellog Tolaram Nigeria Ltd for this scholarship program and it's investments in education infrastructure, reading and literacy initiative, business education partnerships amongst their many other contributions.
In the words of ASUU president
" what we see is a cycle of illiterate parents giving birth to illiterate children who will also produce illiterate children and the cycle continues. That cycle of intergenerational illeteracy must be broken"
I applause the management of Kellogg’s for this initiative,
1.for ensuring that our future leaders are educated,
2. for challenging other children to do better and one day be a beneficiary of this initiative
3. for making a difference.
I have chosen to contribute
I currently support several students across Nigeria in primary, secondary through tertiary education.
I congratulate the children beneficiaries of the Kellogg's Super Stars Scholarship who we are celebrating today I celebrate their teachers
To be one of the 50 selected out of entries from 12,000 schools 1.8 Million children here we have Rivers, Lagos and my beloved Oyo state is a major feat, this is no small accomplishment, we are very proud of each and everyone of you and I wish each and everyone of you the very best in your future endeavors.
Thank you.
