tbaba1234:Congrats sir, it's a wonderful experience to have a child. Which academy are you planning for her? Lol. |
TheGoodJoe:Happy birthday man, many more years. One of the things I admire about you is how you go to great lengths to defend our players even in thier bad times, that's shows deep loyalty. I also like your positivity but word of advice try not to go through long arguments or get emotional on peoples opinions, you have to know no matter how right you think you are Nigerians are egoistic and would not always agree with your points because they feel they are as right as you do. Make your point and don't be upset when you are tagged defender of iheanacho, you have a right to your opinion. When the players you believe in MAKES IT you get to rub it in thier doubters faces. Peace. |
Kevin A. did not reject representing Nigeria. He said he was honored by the interest by Nigeria but that he was born in Germany, grew and feels German also came up through the ranks there, that he should also play for the German NT. IMO More like sounding out to the Germans to make a move for him before Nigeria gets him, which is good. |
Danielnino00:He's good enough to be in the team now, he getting game in the Dutch first division. A journalist once said if he's good enough for a Dutch team then he's good enough for Nigeria, it's not as if we are rich on options with players of his skill set. If we say we are planning for the future special players like this guy should get involved for this World Cup even if on bench, then the next World Cup he's more confy, and the blending would be perfect. He's getting games he's making a case, even those without games made the team, he doesn't need to start but he can make an impact. |
Another player who I'm suprised has not been getting a call in is kelechi nwakali, this guy is the closest thing to mikel as an AMF in the sense that he brings that unparalleled vision, class and a bit of defensive contribution, his age is not a problem because he plays with an old head on his shoulders, and very confident. He's in the Dutch league in his second year as a pro and is getting game time this guy at this point should be introduced, if his senior brother got a call he deserves one to. It would be nice he makes this World Cup because in about two years he should be a class act especially with his current progress, also his skill set is something we sorely need. |
sontoly:Got thier game analysis spot on, the footwork issue is probably why onuachu is not in the SE fold already, but he's not bad with his foot atall we just have guys better on the ball. |
sontoly:Paul onuachu with this super form is the best target man the SE can boast of, would love to see him in a much higher league, transfer imminent after this season. still so young |
junnyjake:Receptive? how? Belgium, holland, England and turkey just to name a few are more receptive of Africans than Spain. what was the point of giving the boy his debut if they didn't think he could compete. If it were to be a Spanish 19 year old GK, lord knows he's gonna have been the first choice goalkeeper, it's not an experience issue. He's shown his potential and shown that he is ready, why delay his progress all cause of some flimsy excuse, coming from the guy who was the supposed coach of the b team before Mel was sacked, if he's own youth coach who should know more about him than anyone of us can't trust him then I feel the politics there don't favor him. He's a 19year old goalie who's made his la Liga and SE debut, he won't be short on suitors, Belgian teams don't have a problem giving young players like him a shot. |
Kog45:What a pity if only Mel had not been sacked, what makes the situation worse is that the current goalkeeper is not as good as uzoho all they needed to do was show a little more faith since he handed himself well in his debut. How can this amount of talent that is suitable for a whole Nigeria NT already, how can that player be reduced to 3rd division matches. Those Sparniads don't even give a shit about Africans. Hopefully he gets a loan in January. |
forgiveness:Easy bro on this Aluko thing, its at a point where I can sense the emotions in your words on aluko almost like you guys are related somehow. |
Dedebanky85: savagery |
somehow:So happy, so far looks like we have a decent young talented who can improve his game, but quility enough to learn while on the game. |
It's painful not watching this match!!! Please anyone care to give a sincere detail on uzohos performance in the game....basically to see if he's better than our over available keepers |
wayodude:Nailed it!! That's what they don't get these players are probably older than they claim and have had thier times what did they do so spectacular in thier time that should warrant a call up, just because of experience?...we say we are trying to build a new generation of quality players why not let them bond and grow together for the greater good of our football but they want to call guys who may not have as much energy and desire as our current squad. It's not even like the last World Cup where we lacked quality we have so much talented youngsters that should be in the team especially when they deserve it.we say we want build for the future but still aching for the past, nawa. That's how they insisted Ik uche and he ended up not performing in that World Cup, I'm not saying experience isn't important but we need quality experience not just experience for mouth. |
Mickael2:Your the funny one, and it's unfortunate you people like to drag players down just to defend some silly point of yours. I don't understand you, if scoring a curler from 25yards out is not being creative, then what is? Is it until he gives 3assists in one match before you acknowledge he has some creativity in his game. Apart from mikel who's the most creative center midfielder we have in the team presently? Since you know a lot about creativity from midfield. |
tbaba1234:True but he's also not a bad one, he relies on his intelligence, but I'm sure I was not the only one who saw the vital interceptions he made, it's not all about tackle, busquests hardly tackles but he's one of the best. Besides ndidi or onazi can always do the tackling |
Mickael2:I see, his quality goal didn't change a damn thing bah. The way you people bring stuff up just to drag ballers down is embarrassing. I'm not gonna be the one to argue This one with you, no matter who they put even if we had kante you guys will still find a fault. |
Mickael2:Except mikel who is the most creative center midfielder we have presently in the team? |
lexyman:Understood! But I think being the professional he is, he knows when to cool it down after a yellow card he dosent get a red...how many of our CMs? Have scored 2 goals in three matches, that's the quality he brings. |
BascoVanVeli:Getting a yellow card nah norms for cm/dms...but he doesn't strike me as midfielder that gets a lot of card. |
tbaba1234:Only if he had more speed and were in a better league, our problem in midfield is creativity, he has that. But if he were better in training he would have gotten the nod, our coach knows best! |
lexyman:For a fact agbo and agu are more card prone midfielders than Ogu, I'm not saying he's the best but give the man credit when due, his interception, tackles were vital to us in that match. |
Naija people sha!!! You play well they go complain, if you no play well them still complain. Ogu was absolutely brilliant in that match, in my opinion apart from mikel he's the best at interceptions, passes and ball holding skills, he controls a midfield and his positioning is good,he's not as slow as you guys make him look here... it's baffling that the guy who won the man of the match is still criticized..the reality right now is that you should not be suprised if he becomes a regular because he took his chance in that match. I would not be suprised if onazi sees more of the bench after the Algeria game. |
Nigeria is in a goal keeping crisis thank God the defense covered well. African refs are embarrassing, Sheu abd is an example for komenk it's not until you are in championship or in any top league before you can be classified quality, that nigga is good enough to start for an epl top ten side. As good as Ola is he can't take his spot right now. Onuachu would have done a better job than nwakeme. Onyekuru had the same amount of shot on target with this Israeli guy, what's the use of strength and hold up play when you cannot connect with your team mates, SE can do better, dessers or kayode in that match would have made sense, sometimes I don't get this roah!! Congrats SE Ekong has improved tremendously from the olympics, kept slimani in his pocket and showed he can run the show when his partner has a quite game. |
edi287:I know but it's only a matter of time for sodiq to come into his own he's a top talent, in my opinion I believe he has the potential to match Tammy ability! Yes I said it! it was ridiculously to me we were chasing Tammy when we have a young talented striker in that mould. if umar starts performing on a consistent basis and score some goals in the seria a he can be a starter in the SE the problem is too many of you people judge players based on just the one game you've seen them or a tournament. Look at it this way seria a is probably 4th best league uefa ranking how many experienced Nigerian players do we have in a major team in Italy, apart from simmy, obi I see no other, so for this guy to be considered class enough to be in a Roma team I don't know how he's not SE quality, we should introduce him to the team, he works on his goal scoring and he's a super talent. Let's try to appreciate our own. |
It's high time we get over this Tammy breakup, I don't understand why the nnf dont scout these guys before they get into limelight, there some bright enobhakare playing for a highly rated wolves where he is impressing , there Maja who if not for inguries would have arguably been Sunderland first team striker, there Ike ugbo, ebere eze whO are open to playing for us, we really need to follow up these players coz all they need is to feel wanted. Iwobi, Moses, Ola aina, ebuehi, ekong let's not decieve ourselves if thier bi country called them into thier respective national team they would gladly want represent them because they are a big footballing nation. Nigeria showed more desire and got them you can't expect players born In England to Nigeria parents behaving like Nigerians it's rare, except those who parents had a lot of influence on his love for Nigeria like ainas father. The problem is that Nigerians are one of the most sentimental and proud country, but will now for a boy to play for you who was born in Britain and totally British, let's not deceive our self the pinnick boasting on Tammy turns out to backfire to show that thier Nigerian mothers/fathers have little or no influence on thier international career decisions. To be sincere Tammy is a very talented player, but he's not the only one. Umar Sodiq of Torino is almost a carbon copy of Tammy, he was the lead striker for the under 23, so what's the hype we have capable strikers when are hungry with quality just believe in them, instead we want Tammy It's not like we don't have excellent talent for the future so why the hurt shey nah all thier top young stars una wan steal finish..we have hungry talented strikers In my opinion Tammy will not be missed. |
Ibime:Lol it must have been particularly frustrating for you watching Baka especially after those misses. Baka played more of a box to box midfield role and was absolutely effective defensively, he's our best mid destroyer after kante, I think you know our club and coach are defense first people...agreed he had a game where he went forward a lot to useless effect but that's one of the reasons we won games last season he was doing the forward pressing we saw kante do frequently last year, when kante was out baka seldom pressed forward because there was no one behind as cover especially in a 2 man mid...much as you don't like his abilities on the ball you can't deny his defensive talent. he's very good at those it was one of those excellent forward pressing that led to batshuayi second goal vs Watford. Just chill for the guy, I think we forget to fast that he's 22, not a lot of 22year olds are that good. |
One thing I was particularly impressed about Baka was that even after he had missed two clear cut chances he still had that confidence to keep trying he didnt go back into his shell like a lot of young players would Lose come confidence trying not to make a mistake but he just kept going...that's a mental trait of champions at 22 his potential is frightening. There we had it matic vs bakayoko, they are actually quite different players but on thing in common is the defensive output, in terms of energy and impact Baka rules conte himself said it that Baka is very good without the ball, he's accomplished as a defensive midfielder at world level. If he can slug it out with almight matic and hold his own I think the comparisons can stop now. He young and he maybe the worst passer to some although I just think he's being overconfident which is good but like it or not he's now a mainstay in our midfield. |
Griffon:Your problem this is a forum and everyone has a right to his opinion |
Griffon:Huddusfield is a attacking side on the contrary who play a similar style to klop Liverpool. It is exactly in those kind of matches with little to do that you show your quality, Man U had more possession that alone should give matic an edge to be under less pressure. But I'm not saying he's not been brilliant this season but we all know Baka is a work in progress, but he's trying |
Griffon:whats the use of possession when you do not score goals, so because matic had more passes than Huddersfield midfielders means he had a better game?...I'm sure you were here last season criticizing matic and now all of a sudden matic is a God because he won games with Man U? |
Griffon:Please save that bullocks, Huddersfield midfielders had a higher rating than matic but somehow you criticize Baka like matic would do any better. I can't believe you watched matic in three years in Chelsea and say we really miss him just because you want to downplay Baka? |
