Miremoses1:We need to contract an Israeli security firm to protect our most valuable asset: Casemiro. -Lord |
Miremoses1:Apparently it had to take injuries to give him a chance. The guy screams QUALITY! -Lord |
Big Benz! -Lord |
Miremoses1:Mendy was good at the defense but mediocre going forward--at least compared to what we're accustomed to seeing from Marcelo. But maybe that's a reasonable trade off to make since we don't exactly lack creative players. Or maybe I should cut him some slack seeing he's new to the league -Lord |
hulk616:It's too soon to be trending Zidane Out. A lot of fans are fine with a top 2 finish and a UCL SF this season. Plus, it's not like Zidane isn't trying. This match is proof. Dude threw a tactical banana starting a game with four full-on attackers even though we have bogus defensive issues. Why? He was going FTW. My problem with Zidane is that we shouldn't be playing virtually every opposition in the league like they're a traditional European heavyweight. We should be able to win games comfortably and score for fun using an established system, like Man City or Liverpool. The chasm in quality between RM and the bottom half is as deep as the Mariana Trench. Why play Villareal like they're ATM. We drew this game solely due to individual brilliance. All game long, it was cross and inshallah. Is that enough to ask him to pack his bags? Not quite. System coaches are few and in between. If he goes, who'd come in? -Lord |
Virus99:Spoke too soon. Na cross and inshallah we dey do since the goal... -Lord |
Ksslib:Let him sit on the bench for a while and rethink his life. If that doesn't correct the short-circuited fuse in his brain box, then we should cash out on him. Strangely enough, defenders get better with age. Dude has been bossing since he was 19. Gets to 26, starts misbehaving. -Lord |
pu7pl3:He has been seeing some of the ball. He hasn't done much with it. Let people that are ready to score see the ball. If he likes he shouldn't perform, Zidane eye dey red! Only Lord Vazquez and Ramos are safe. -Lord |
That's the spirit! -Lord |
Miremoses1:As long as we bag the 3 points, he can play jam body for all I care. It's very important we take advantage of these slip-ups. -Lord |
Miremoses1:If we had a system and not this Casemiro is our tactics nonsense, we should be comfortably in front with four points by Day 3. As we've been fortunate to not have a top team yet. So that when Barcelona starts dropping more points later in the league, we'd be entering into a "can't Bleep this up" position. But here we are hoping to not drop points against Villareal! -Lord |
hopefulLandlord: Moreover, I'm comparing his efforts to the last 3 summer windows where he was shambolic. I've given him flak a lot over transfers, so I think he deserves some reprieve.-Lord |
pu7pl3:Pogba was a hard buy. He was not competitively priced. It doesn't seem as though Zidane thinks Beek or Eriksen is a fit for his system (whatever the f*ck that is); so what is he to do? Coz I'm sure same Flo who got Courtois and Hazard who pushed for moves, would got Beek just as easily if there wasn't any reservation. Moreover, I'm comparing his efforts to the last 3 summer windows where he was shambolic. I've given him flak a lot over transfers, so I think he deserves some reprieve. -Lord |
pu7pl3:We got Areola on loan which is a neat deal. Perez aced this summer's mercado. -Lord |
Miremoses1:Unfortunately if we win the UCL, Hazard will win the Balon D'Or. The only reason why Van Dijk won the award was because Salah didn't have a repeat of last two seasons. Ramos was somewhat unlucky to have a certain Portuguese on the team. Kinda like the case with Iniesta. -Lord |
forever08:He was second. Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool & Netherlands) – 305 points Lionel Messi (Barcelona & Argentina) – 207 points Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus & Portugal) – 74 points -Lord |
pu7pl3:Our defense is the reason Barcelona dominates the league. Outscoring opponents works great in a cup tourney like the UCL. For the league, it is ineffective. We can't fire on all cylinders in every game. So when we're only able to scrape one or days when the ball wouldn't go in, we should be able to grind out a result. That's what Champions do. Unfortunately, our defensive issues does not look solvable atm. It seems like a black hole. -Lord |
You would not see a certain bevy of RRs after this oh... But the minute someone has a complaint; they'd come out guns blazing! My take on the match. ZZ had the lineup right. But in the end, knowing our defense, with only a goal up going into the final minutes; it was always a toss up if we'd take all 3 or drop 2 points. Which is a shame really as for a second there it seemed like we were finally getting into rhythm. On to the next game. #HalaMadrid -Lord |
andrew44444:That's literally four lines as I copy pasted CR7 quotes. Moreover I'm a huge fan of Alain Prost and think he's better than Senna. I am familiar with the Senna-Prost rivalry; and the comparison hit home for me. You could have just ignored it too, but you couldn't. Now face your front! -Lord |
NoFap123:You should sue your English teacher. S/He FAILED you. “I really admire the career he has had and from his side, he has already talked of the disappointment when I left Spain because it was a rivalry that he appreciated.” “It’s a good rivalry but it’s not unique — Michael Jordan had rivalries in basketball, there was Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost in Formula 1. The thing they all had in common is that they were healthy rivalries.” “I have no doubt that Messi has made me a better player and vice-versa. When I am winning trophies it must sting him and it’s the same for me when he wins.” 25 years after Senna's demise; Prost said of Senna, "Our History Is Completely Linked." CR7's comment is honesty and good ol' respect for someone who has shared the podium with him since 2007. If you want to know who he thinks is better, why not you ask him? HINT: Others have asked, the answer is in the public domain. PS: Every overachiever finds motivation everywhere. Whether it is a senile b*stard mocking him [sic: Blatter] or a system player who's scared of leaving a certain Nou stadium. -Lord |
Miremoses1:I think he should start whoever he wants to start. I could understand why he'd start Marcelo. We need some continuity to maintain whatever we have going. Because if Mendy pulls an Odriozola on us, iit'd tilt our delicate balance almost irreparably. -Lord |
hopefulLandlord:For the umpteenth time, WHAT IS ZIDANE'S TACTICS? How can a question so simple cause all this long talk? Answer the damn question. First you said Casemiro. Then you retracted it. Give a cogent answer. Again, WHAT IS ZIDANE'S TACTICS? -Lord |
hopefulLandlord:Oh, Casemiro wasn't your final answer? You still have time to come up with a well-written excerpt on the tactic Zidane used to win the match. Or maybe I'm dreaming and Kroos had never scored a howler from outside the box before today. Or maybe Bale's assist wasn't a low cross. Or wait, we absolutely never scored from quick one-touch passes and exchange under Mourinho and Ancelotti. That's all Zidane. I don't think you'd ever get tired of proving you're stup*d. A simple question, what's Zidane tactics and you're acting like you have diarrhea of the mouth. Oh I'm back here after you and likes helped us break all manner of negative records last season. You guys aren't getting any love this season. -Lord |
Eyedea:Are you allergic to questions. Answer the questions I asked or STFU! I'm sure for you st*pid is a language. I'm sorry I don't speak it. So if you don't want to answer the very clear questions I've asked, eat the humble pie and as I advised go watch a tennis match. -Lord |
hopefulLandlord:I asked you to tell us the tactics Zidane used to win this match and you had one answer: CASEMIRO! That's it. Zidane's big tactic to win a treble is called CASEMIRO. And you're so shameless that you're still typing load of crap?! How is it that you haven't been institutionalized. -Lord |
Eyedea:I don't need to convince anyone. Anyone with grey matter knows. The only people disputing it are people like you who like to color everything with partisanship. Zizzou is not known for his tactics. He is an excellent man manager, can read the game well on a good day, and can setup teams to better match the opposition. Add that to his credentials as a GOAT manager and having the best players in their prime; with a lil bit of Black Magic; and voila there are 3 CL trophies in the cabinet. When the players aren't performing at their usual level; everything falls apart spectacularly, because there's no tactics to gloss over deficiencies. There's just Casemiro and the heroics of whoever is between the sticks. We played this game like we did against Bayern Munich in 2018. If our players can't find it in them to play a game like they're in the UCL knockout stages with all to play for, we play like a Championship team. We only have two gears, it works or it doesn't work. There's no in-between. Now that's not much of a problem if we would only play 10 or so matches in the UCL. But for about 60 odd matches. Come on?! It's almost like what I'm saying is advanced rocketry. I stayed away for most of last season and watched this thread rarely get comments even when Zidane had an almost identical win rate as J Lo. But God forbid someone mentions the obvious, and you guys emerge from the darkness like roaches. But this season, we die here! If Zidane likes he should perform; if he doesn't, his pink slip would be faxed to him (the fax machine in Perez office is working now). -Lord |
Eyedea:Who should Nolito and Iheanacho bench in the current City squad? Guy just drop it. You should follow tennis, that's a sport your pea-sized brain may be able to decipher. No offense, but football pass you. -Lord |
Miremoses1:As long as they have an agenda, they wouldn't use their brains. -Lord |
Eyedea:Before Guardiola was Sterling in the top 50 players short list on the Planet? Or is it not the same Sterling that was scalar quantity at Liverpool. Zero direction, technicality, or footballing IQ; just another speed merchant. Guardiola breathes life into his career and you're losing your sh*t. Let him play under EV or Allegri, let us see how he'd score 4 goals in 2 games. I don't know from what sewer you guys crawled out off. -Lord |
Miremoses1:Ah please! Who needs tactics when we've got Casemiro and BlackMagic. You know what woulda been a better idea. Having tactics + Casemiro + BlackMagic. But I guess that's too much to ask for eh! -Lord |
