We cannot wait for 4 years before we boot MuhammDupe Buhari out of office. We are grown ups and not kids, we already know MuhammDupe Buhari has nothing to offer Nigerians except perpetual hardships.

Do you mean GEJ was a failure in first 10 months of his presidency yet Nigerians, including Yorubas massively voted for him in 2011?

There's a possibility he might not succeed.

It's not playing bitter opposition politics, I can't help but wonder how Lagos State governor, Ambode managed to rehabilitate more than 250 roads just in Lagos just under 6months if actually Fashola was an active governor. For the umpteenth time, the workloads of the Ministries of Power, Works and Housing will be overwhelming for Mr Fashola.

I'm afraid the government after Buhari might rehabilitate 5000 roads just after 3 months in office.

Seems like Buhari has a penchant for rewarding partial failures. Amaechi, Transportation minister that couldn't complete his monorail project in Port Harcourt as governor of Rivers state.

This is not really an indictment against the leadership of Fashola. The lifespan of Lagos roads, especially those under the purview of the local government, is incredibly short because of corruption and unfeasibly high population density leading to a volume of traffic flow and vehicular movement that will test even the most durable roads anywhere in the world.

The issue of detrimentally high population density will continue to be a pain in the neck for Lagos because it is the smallest State in Nigeria with the highest population estimated to be around 20 million !!

To put things in perspective, so we see the strain on a State which did not have adequate infrastructure underpinning the immense population growth it saw in a relatively short period of time, we should look at some stats and draw some obvious conclusions.

Lagos is 999.6 kilometres squared in size and is home to around 20 million. Virtually all Lagosians really on road transport to go from A to B every day.

London is 1,572 kilometres squared in size and home to 8.539 million. London has a good transport mix which means rail/tube transport gets far more Londoners from A to B daily than road transport. especially Monday to Friday.

New York is 789 kilometres squared and home to 8.406 million. New York also has a good transport mix which means rail/metro transport gets far more New Yorkers from A to B daily than road transport.

Anyway, you're already putting the blame on Local governments, aren't those local government under Lagos State? Were the local governments beyond the jurisdiction of Lagos and Fashola? And suddenly now, they fall under the jurisdiction of Ambode?

If Fashola had run an inclusive, even and honest government, population and density wouldn't be a problem. You can't concentrate most of your works in the already developed areas while neglecting the areas inhabited by the masses and expect not to have hitches.

Lagos is not 999 squared kilometres.
Lagos is more than 3000 square kilometres and almost twice bigger than those cities you compared it with. Unless you're talking about Lagos metropolis alone, but then, you can't put the blame of most of the dilapidated roads on the local governments which you claimed constructed the roads and make an excuse for Fashola with Lagos metropolis. Governance is not a boy/girl relationship of for better for worse. Many Yorubas played the opposition very well in the last administration albeit not without propaganda and unpatriotic means. So my brother, I think this government should also stomach all the frustrations from the opposition and do their work, it's good for our democracy, it's good for our development.

Yes, Russia was a regional power and is still a regional power when compared to USA.

USA can do little or nothing about Russia's emerging presence is Syrian conflict. The two nations are at loggerheads and it might not take more than a slap for them to turn Syria into a complete missile ground.
