Politics / Re: Naira To Cfa Franc Exchange Rate Now Very Terrible by lordizak(m): 4:11pm On Aug 12, 2023
BoldBrainz:
OP,
with all due respect, you're lying!

I am a Cross Riverian who has done plenty business across the borders of Cameroon, all the way into Douala and even had a brief stint in the capital city of Yaounde. I currently operate from Abuja and still conduct business with acquaintances in Cameroon. The last transfer I received was on Tuesday this week through the Orange funds exchange. The 21,000 francs I received translated to 19,700 naira. That means the naira still holds an edge over the francs.

Agreeably, about 5 weeks ago, the naira and the francs found a balance, then the francs leapfrogged naira by a small margin, but that disparity only lasted for about a week.

We all agree that the economy is in a terrible state, but please stop peddling lies to the reading public just to court sensationalism. I don't like Tinubu and his governance style, but I detest when people create facades of intended deceit.

The op is very correct. I sent money to my sister yesterday.

With your background, let’s be truthful here. In six month time, ICT wouldn’t offer you anything.

The strategy is to dive into ICT as a hobby and gather knowledge. With commitment here and there. When that time is right to switch you will know instantly.

ICT as for your situation will pay you if you invest like 2 years in it.

So the process ain’t fast and it is quite stressful. But Once you are there. You’re made

Venture in business or start a skill
Tailoring
Graphics design(if you have a good eye for design and creativity)
Writing
I was thinking graphic design too.

Programming / I Need Clarification On ICT Carriers. by lordizak(m): 10:23am On Oct 17, 2021
I am 30yrs old male, a degree holder, I currently reside with my father with no Job. I was into teaching(Private school), I had to quit as it is a waste of my time and doesn't guarantee me a future. I do other menial jobs to make end meets. Fortunately, I have a supportive background my father wants to give me one shot.

I have seen people talked about many things and resume opportunities in the ICT space, I just don't know where to venture into, the concept is somewhat alien to me.

I want something that can start paying me in 6 months. This will at least give me some financial freedom. Where do you think I should explore?

NB: I am not good at mathematics, drawing and I don't have a sound knowledge in Ms word and Corel drawer. Other than those shortcomings, I am a smart and an intelligent fellow looking for a livelihood.

Dear poster

I see no reason why you should abuse me, when I did not call you a fool or abuse you.

If you have facts to counter my facts, do that.

If you don't, please keep quiet.

Thank you.
This is 2021, no country in the world charges 5k in Naira equivalent to buy 1GB of data.
Phones / Re: Cost Of Data In Nigeria Is Very High. Not Cheap by lordizak(m): 2:53pm On Sep 09, 2021
Modrov post=1056 it46634:
The cost of data in Malawi is $27 In Nigeria it is $1.31...for the same one gig

Then the minimum wage in both countries is the same.

In Chad it is $23...where their minimum wage is N47000 Or 116 dollars.

The cost of 1 g data in the Central African republic can chop one quarter of your income.....here in Nigeria it is much less.

I think the problem is, anyone who points out the fact that data is cheap in Nigeria is perceived as arguing for higher prices. That's not true.

Anyway, the argument we should really be having is the modalities they use in setting the price for data. That's what we should be asking.

Modified

OP is being clever by half. He compared Nigeria to the US...meanwhile, there are many African countries that charge higher for data than even the USA....and OP did not put them on his list because he knows it would defeat his argument..especially as minimum wage in many African countries is about the same as, or less than Nigeria..
Stop making a fool of your.

Get a AWS cloud certification.

Get more info here
https://www.aws.training

NB personally am into infosec as a penetration tester (CEH v11) and now studying for my OSCP (Certification course from Offensive Security the creators of Kali Linux)next year.
Infosec (cyber security) is a good field and there's a lot of entry courses and certifications including free ones that are really good.
I'm 2 months into my study for AWS cloud practitioner, i just wanted to add cloud computing knowledge to my skills. (Maybe cloud security in future)
If there's enough interest i will try to drop links/info on some free but good courses for cloud computing (AWS), Infosec (Cyber security) and Linux OS.
Can I take any of these courses without any background knowledge in IT?
