A lot of people really don't understand how this bitcoin thing works, let me use this post to explain.
-The bitcoin is a currency, albeit a digital currency and like most other currency, it's bound to fluctuate.
-Like other currencies, it's value is quoted against the USD or any other major currency, when quoting the value of a currency, a unit of the higher currency is quoted against that of the weaker currency, e.g $1=N485 since the the dollar is the stronger of the two. In the same way, the bitcoin of higher value than the dollar is quoted e.g 1btc=$760
-The practice on NL of quoting the USD equivalent is actually wrong since there's no universal bitcoin wallet, and different wallets have different bitcoin to dollar equivalent.
-The proper thing is to quote how many bitcoins you want
-Let's say you want 1btc for example, and you use coinbase wallet, while the seller uses blockchain, the seller gives you the dollar equivalent of 1btc as obtained in his blockchain(sending) wallet. Let's say 1btc=$755 in blockchain and he's selling at N520/$, then the cost of the 1btc will be = 755x520 in Naira
-1btc in blockchain is 1btc across all wallets, so receiver gets exactly 1btc in his coinbase wallet, with the dollar equivalent determined by the conversion rate in the coinbase wallet, say 1btc=$745 in coinbase wallet.
-This will help remove any ambiguity as regards getting value of what you paid for if we can start pricing in bitcoins

Since we are Nigerian we need to use our naira to buy usd or gbp or rmb.. And you know when converting currency you pay charges....

Case two

there is official btc rate and their is seller rate
Official btc rate could be 700$ as a seller I can choose to call my own 800/$ ( check blockchain or localbtc for reference)

Now how do you cover for the? 100$?
I repeat you will never see a place where they will sell btc for you at official rate without charges ( well according to my knowledge)

Now our naira is suffering
Naira against USD GBP RMB

Then USD GBP RMB against seller rate

Now when selling in Nigeria you will always use official rate
You use either coinbase blockchain or btc e rate
Preev .com is giving you the average of all

If you want btc rate in naira to come down
You need two different prayers
Naira against the currency you used in buying
The currency against btc

There's no single source, guys here get there bitcoins from different sites, paxful and the likes

The bitcoin value against the dollar is reducing but the price has remained constant here, I really don't understand what drives the price here. Someone should enlighten me as to why this is the case
