We earn all our forex from crude oil. Once the forex from crude oil is no longer there, other sectors won't get the required forex to import and expand/maintain their operations. And once these other sectors can no longer maintain their current operating level not to talk of expansion, the economy will not grow, hence, recession. Recession simply means our economy is no longer growing.

The situation of the Naira is also as a result of the shortage of forex. The high $/N exchange rate is seriously pushing inflation to an extreme height which in effect had reduce the purchasing power of Nigerians. It had also reduce the growth capacity of other sectors that contributes to the GDP.

If only Jonathan had not squandered the huge foreign reserve and the excess crude savings he inherited, the current government would have gotten something to fall back to, investors ability to continue to invest won't be eroded, Naira won't be this bad and most importantly, we won't be in a recession today.

God bless you for this submission. If comments by most people og NL represents the thinking level of our youths, then I'm sorry Nigeria is doomed. I find it difficult to believe a lot of Nigerians do not even understand how the economy works. Many people fail to see the relationship between crude oil earnings and 'health' of our economy since ours is an import based economy.....sighs. Pathethic

i contacted Skrill dot com and i was told i had a restriction on my card (fidelity bank) by my card issuer.
Then i called Fidelity bank and i was told there is a restriction by CBN for card usage on international sites (how true is this info)..
i tried with my GTbank card its same 'transaction failed'
So Pls what bank cards do you guys use..

Well, this probably is a new development because I successfully uploaded funds to my account using my Access bank visacard last week monday. I've not tried any upload this week. I have this question for you - "have you ever used any of your debit cards for international transactions before?" If yes, contact your bank for further advice

1. Pls am i missing somtin or must the card i upload be in the name of my skrill acct

If you have enough money in the account (say 1,000) and the verification failed, then it has to be the names that didn't tally.

Conversion only comes to play when you're uploading funds from your naira visa or mastercard, i.e converting from naira to dollar, and the rate is determined by your bank. When you transfer to your dorm, you get the exact value of transfer in dollars since your dorm account is in dollars

Not sure, but I think it's about $4.95 or so I saw the last time I did. It may be higher for bigger transfers but the charges does not exceed a certain maximum transfer charge which I can't remember

Just go to www.skrill.com to sign up.
The rates can be seen on their fees section, usually, you're charged 1.9% of the amount you want to upload as admin fee and 1% when you transfer to other skrill accounts, not so sure, you can check the website
The verification is instantaneous, just check your account immediately, you will see the deduction

Link your debit card (VISA or Mastercard) to your account. Verify the card by confirming a deduction that would be made thereafter. Once you've verifified the card, just click on UPLOAD and your skrill account will be funded with any amount you wish to add

Open a an account with skrill, theirs is easier as you can withdraw in USD to your dorm account. Neteller doesn't allow you withdraw in USD, dunno about payza

A lot of peeps here really need to learn business ethics. Being trustworthy is not enough, pride and arrongance is a turn-off for me anyday. I've had correspondence with a few honest but rude peeps here and their attitude got in the way of a good business relationship we could have had. For me, any individual who is rude towards a client is a potential scammer and evidence has shown that as in the case of tumababa and one scammer like that (can't recall his moniker). The scammer was very rude towards him and should have called off the deal. He went ahead and we know how it ended.
Let's all treat one another with mutual respect coz you dunno who is who.
Special salute to bizbloke, bdavis, toluxa1....and a few others, these are gentlemen I hold in very high esteem for the way they interact with others. Arrogance and pride doesnt pay, my little contribution

One of the best my ass! Bloody thieves, just pray your transaction doesn't go wrong on their platform. I bought airtime three times, I got transaction failure notification from the network but they deducted money from my wallet. Complained several times, nothing was done till now. Patronise clubkonnect at your own risk

I contacted some Multi-national Banks on Twitter (see screenshots in my earlier post for their responses).
UBA called and explained that they can clear the funds once I open a domiciliary account with them. I was told I don't necessarily have to have an account (Savings/Current etc).

What about Stanbic, what was their response?
