It seems my point about how your memory is closed to any pre-existence is lost on you. This goes way beyond the womb. Remember I asked how you know this is the first brain and body you have had. I was simply asking how you know this is your first life. or your first time being born into a body.

As I said, if you have no memory of a past life while here, and only opened your eyes one day and saw your self here, how do you know that cant happen again - while you would have no memory of this current life you are living?

Not going to go in circles, this has been asked and answered.

When are you going to show me a process I can investigate and explore that shows that consciousness is not a product of brain and body? If you cannot answer this question then there's nothing further to discuss.

Reed, it has everything to do with it. You seemed to suggest that your observation of the process of pregnancy and birth resolves conclusively the mystery of how beings come into the world via sex. Have you dared to ask your self how the sexual process itself came about? In doing so -

1. Remember that as per evolution, we first had unicellular life which reproduced asexually. Where and how did sexual reproduction evolve.

Wrong. It has nothing to do with it because we are discussing my existence. I came about by the human reproductive process I already laid out which is of course occurring far past when the sexes emerged. Besides not know how the sexes evolved doesn't show in anyway that consciousness is not a product of brain and body.

Interesting. Very very interesting. So, you, who still cannot decipher how creatures evolved into sexual reproduction, and has no memory of his own development in a womb, is self satisfied to say that since he has seen the birth of a child, he knows the whole process?

LoLz. Was my development in the womb different from the development of my child in the womb? A resounding no. My mother was impregnated by my father and she carried the resulting fetus for 9 months before my birth. Same way I impregnated my wife and she carried the resulting fetus for 9 months before my child's birth. These are clear cut processes. Find me a clear cut process to show there is consciousness without brain and body, simple.

What has the evolution of the sexes got to do with this? Nothing that I can see.

A few years ago, after completing my compulsory six-month Industrial Training (IT) and waiting for my final year session to begin, I was working on a practical project for my IT defense, which was to be presented soon.

While using a very sharp knife to cut some materials, it slipped from my hand and landed right between my left thumb and index finger. The cut was so deep that I could literally see my bone. Blood gushed out like a fountain, soaking my room in minutes.

Sensing the danger, I quickly poured hydrogen peroxide on the wound, hoping to stop the bleeding, but it didn’t work. The cut was too deep and wide, and I couldn’t even bear to look at it twice. In a panic, I tore a piece of fabric, wrapped it around my hand, and rushed to a nearby drugstore owned by a nurse.

As soon as she saw the depth of my wound, she gasped and asked what had happened. I just told her to proceed with the treatment, assuring her I’d explain later. She cleaned and dressed the wound with some liquid medication, and almost instantly, the bleeding stopped.

When she asked if I wanted stitches, I refused out of fear, insisting the wound would heal on its own.


THE UNEXPECTED TURN

After the final dressing and bandaging of the wound, I felt relieved as the nurse explained my treatment routine and the medications I needed to take. But suddenly, everything went blank.

I felt empty, as if my soul was leaving my body. It was a painful, forceful separation, and I was utterly helpless. My body felt dry, drained of life. In those few moments, I experienced something beyond comprehension—I felt as though I was traveling between the past and future, reliving memories in flashes. My soul was crying, and my biggest thought was how my mother would react upon hearing that her son had died in school.

It all happened so quickly. Just as I was about to collapse completely, I heard a loud cry: "THE BLOOD OF JESUS! OH, THE BLOOD OF JESUS!"

Over and over, the nurse repeated these words. In that instant, my soul awakened, and an unexplainable surge of energy rushed through my body.

Apparently, while I was slipping away, the nurse noticed my eyes rolling back and turning white. Realizing I was losing consciousness, she immediately began pleading the blood of Jesus over me. That was how I came back to life!


A MIRACULOUS HEALING

As if that wasn’t enough, another miracle followed—the deep wound that should have taken weeks to heal started closing up within days. Even the nurse was astonished! She attributed it to me having good skin, but deep down, I knew it was God at work.

Despite my injury, I completed my project successfully and defended it excellently. Today, I have long graduated, healthy and strong, to the glory of God.

Ignorance. The bane of my people.

Don't even need it. Blood loss is known to cause loss of consciousness and it is one part of medical practice to keep a patient in that state as conscious as possible. There is nothing supernatural about this so called miracle.

THEDEEPSIGHT:
You were not aware of that process when it happened. If it repeats itself elsewhere, you will most likely also not be aware of it.
What this points to is a machinery existing beyond your consciousness which activates both you and your reality.

It doesn't matter if I witnessed my own birth, I have witnessed the birth of my own child and seen her development, that is sufficient evidence. There was no other machinery that brought my child into existence.

THEDEEPSIGHT:
Indeed, and that's fair enough, but it must occur to you that all you know of your existence on this plane is that one day you just opened your eyes and found yourself here. If nothing else, this should leave you open to the vast possibilities that may exist regarding your holistic existence. For as you just opened your eyes one day and found yourself here - without creating yourself, without doing anything for it, and with no prior memory - you should at least suspect that you could also open your eyes somewhere else one day and find yourself there with no prior memory as well.

There was a process that got me here that I can explore and investigate. Until I get a similar process that I can investigate and explore that demonstrates that consciousness survives or is separate from the body then I have no reason to think so.

No I do not.

I don't know that and have no reason to suspect that is the case.

As far as I know memory is tied to brain processes, no brain, no memory. I have no memory because I had no brain. Even more explicitly, consciousness is based on the brain and body processes which didn't exist before I was born and will cease when I die.

I thought about this question and it sometimes scares me. I generally can deal with it, but sometimes it just sucks my mind into a void of knowing of my demise and possibly losing memories of the life I love and the experiences I had.

No. I have no reason to believe rather the same way I was nonexistent before birth is the same way I'll be nonexistent after death is more likely.
