vicope: From the comments here on Nairaland, its not so difficult to assess some people's level of folly. That Ogenyi said 'T.B Joshua, I love you', does it translate to worshipping him? Or must TB joshua predict a match before a footballer can show his appreciation to someone who helped him attain success in life? I am a christian who doesn't belong to any denomination. I just believe in God and try to do what the Bible say. The greatest commandment in the Bible is LOVE - Love God and Love your neighbour. TB Joshua has demonstrated Godly love through his attitude of giving and helping the needy even to the extent of supplying relief materials to war-torn and disaster areas across the world (what most countries cannot even do). From the very common man to the the foreigners who do not even know him, he has impacted lives and put smiles on people's faces. I believe that is what Christ would have done! For heaven's sake, I haven't heard of anyone who TB Joshua killed or tortured. Neither have I heard of any1 who sought him for help but was turned down. How else must we realize that he is doing what our government is meant to be doing for us? I am not a member of TB Joshua's church, but I see common sense in helping the poor than investing in material things that does not benefit the poor (what the Bible calls vanity), all those private jets, posh cars do not last forever, but every life that you touch and every smile that you put on someone's face is noted in heaven and surely there is a reward. I am not in the business of criticizing clergymen, else I would be comparing TB Joshua to other prominent pastors in Nigeria and I would be asking you to state clearly who is doing what Jesus would have done to better the welfare of his neighbours! I read recently about TB Joshua saying any youth who ventures into agriculture this year will prosper in it. What a prophecy to encourage our youths, yet nobody will note that because we are deeply enmeshed in the pool of unconstructive criticism that we hardly see any thing good come out of others. I can bet that aside always asking you to pay ur tithes, sacrificial offerings, covenant seeds, firstfruits, prophet offerings and probably prophesying good things for you in exchange, the pastor of your local assembly does not even know you by name, talk more of even sowing or giving any physical gift that can improve ur live physically. Even Jesus fed the 5,000 after preaching to them (physical impact). Alas, common sense has never and will never be common!
can't sumone buy private jet and still put smile on pols face?
nooooooo, noooooo!!! angry

this is bad idea! this is like laying tracks for trams, except instead of on surface we are suspending it in the sky. this is bad idea. how do you combine fast tracks planned for the metro rails with outdated drags?

let us expand development hinterland into yoruba townships instead of wasting money in one spot to construct multi layers of redundant projects.

Eko Ile please share with the Governor to convert this money and erect a parallel fast track to compete with nigerian railway corporation. we need to depopulate lagos. people can live in oyo and commute daily to lagos to work. it is possible for people in osun to commute back and forth daily to lagos. it is called speed train or bullet train. sky cable cars will only incite the remaining millions left in villages to troop into lagos and be part of the skyriding crowd.

bad bad bad policy on this one......scrap it!
so Lagos Belike federal govt 4 ur eye. Governor dey do sum 4 e state u dey talk abt oyo n osun

chief batiatus: Am so disappointed at the poster, so how does niger delta militants compare to BH? Niger delta were not killing people of other religions? They were not killing anybody standing by the road, all their hostages were released unharmed even to the extent that the BBC news mentioned it. And lastly they were fighting a just course which is right to a better life and lastly they are the source of our money. Did niger delta ask for anything foreign to be killed? Did they ask the president to convert to their religion? Did they bomb a single mosque or church? You are the most disappointing poster with of course the lowest IQ since nairaland was created. people you now see how bigoted muslims think?
i agree wit u but I disagree on d part dat u said Niger delta militants r fighting 4 a just course.d so called development dat they claimed to b fighting for was js to get public support frm d ppl n it worked.they hav accepted moni n abandon the course or can u define payment of moni to 5 percent of d Niger delta youth to kip dem frm picking up arms against d government as development.by paying mend and amnesty progrAm d federal government js open d door to formation of more militants group

Then there can be rehabilitation.
imagine a fool calling sumbody fool hav Boko haram told u dat after they reach a deal they won't accept disarmament . onnairaland: quote author=ndu_chucks]N25 billion is a lot of money but not too much of a price for peace. Lets remember that MEND was appeased through NNDC via N250billion in 2012 alone. That is not counting billions of naira that was spend on appeasement contracts awarded to Tompolo and other MEND generals. Asari who did not get much money has already gone on self exile cheesy

Pay these people off and lets have peace.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! lipsrsealed *with afinger on my lips*
it is funny hw u ppl tink.we pay mend off and yet no peace we will still pay bokoharam and yet there will be no peace why because u choose to pay dem. mend is not up to 5 percent of d Niger delta youth.so by paying dem off for committing violence wat message r u sending to d remaining 95 percent.
Take it from me, 747-8I is a doomed project, even though it was meant to be decoy to keep Boeing in the picture of the biggies. Seat per mile cost of the 747-8I is lower or equal to that of a B777-3ER, ( not my words but that of Boeing technical director). 747-8I Seat per mile cost is equal to that of B777-3ER when you opt for the option with additional fuel tank at the HTP to give additional range.

Dreamliner is a technology demonstration which has boxed Boeing to a tight corner! B777X EVO announcement is due for FY13 but with dreamliner still draining the banks rather than swelling it, not one is sure if B77XX EVO launch will finally go ahead by FY13 ending.
based on this u have concluded that it is a flop.
Yup The bolded part of your statement is very correct. I am not saying much but Air force One is an aged Aircraft where A380 stands. The italicized part of your post is arrant nonsense! The Airbus A380 being sold to the Royals is a 571t Max Ramp Weight (MRW), 569t MTOW which is well below the upscaled MRW of the A380. What most people may not know is A380 there is an extended variant of the A380 which was ment to be the freighter version with MTOW of 600t but was 'canned'

The Qataris A340 customization is far modern than the Air Force One!
pls did u read d topic? Facts abt Air Force one not Comparison wit A380or A340

DailyNews: I am sure The Russian presidential jet maybe stronger than the main US Air Force One, but you know, my dear Americans are good in hyping themselves grin

The Russian presidential aircraft is the official aircraft of the President of Russia, when he flies aboard. All aircraft in the Russian presidential fleet are operated by GTK Rossiya.

The main presidential aircraft is the four-engined, long-range, widebody Ilyushin Il-96-300PU, a highly-modified Il-96, with the two last letters standing for "Command Point" in Russian. Four modified Il-96s have been used as presidential aircraft, the first one was used by the first President of Russia, Boris Yeltsin. In 2005, the second aircraft was used by President Vladimir Putin. In 2010, the third president, Dmitry Medvedev announced that he wanted to expand the presidential fleet with two more aircraft, manufactured by the Voronezh Aircraft Plant. Previously the president had used Ilyushin Il-62, Tupolev Tu-154, and Yakovlev Yak-40 aircraft.

The aircraft are a highly-customized version of the standard Il-96, with extensive modifications for luxury and safety. Although technical information about the aircraft has been kept secret, it is known that the aircraft's security apparatus includes advanced communications systems and some type of escape capsule. The capsule does not require passengers to use parachutes, although its exact design is a state secret.

Below is a picture of former Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev using a MacBook on his presidential aircraft.

cap28: i dont know if you know this but the west funds, arms and places in power some of the world's most corrupt and brutal dicators.

they look for people who have one grudge or the other against a legitimate leader - usually the kind of leader who is not willing to sell out his own people in exchange for bribes and extreme wealth from western corporations and banks, they find a saboteur who will be willing to get rid of such a leader and they fund, train and arm rebel groups who are then sent in to destabilise the entire country, and kill this leader, they did this in Libya the majority of libyans were in support of Qadaffi and wanted him to remain in power. You are wrong when you say that it is our fault that we end up in this way, if the west can not get to you using saboteurs to destabilise the country they will invade your country and kill thousands of your people this happened in Iraq, it also happened in Libya when the saboteurs they trained, armed and funded could not remove Qadaffi, the same thing is also currently happening in Syria, the west have been trying to remove Basshar Al Assad for almost 2 years using al qaeda.

cap28: How is it a two way thing?

america needs china more than china needs america.

You seem to forget that china has export markets in latin america, asia and africa even parts of the EU will gladly carry on trading with china if the US dollar collapses, the only thing that will stop them is the fact that many EU countries are puppet nations of america but other than that they will gladly trade with china when the US dollar collapses.

america's national debt currently stands at a mind boggling $16 trillion which is the official figure, imagine what the real amount must be? - the only way for the US economy now is down at this point and they know it.
do u think u knw more Dan d Chinese government if really it was that easy they would hav don it. U acting like sumbody dat play chess thinking of only ur moves.

cap28: There are many weapons china can use against the US - but the biggest weapon they have at the moment is their position as america's biggest creditor - china holds over ver $1 trillion of US treasury bonds, if they want to mess america up big time all they need to do is demand repayment of this debt (knowing full well that america is bankrupt) and at the same time start getting rid of all their US dollar denominated assets this will trigger the immediate collapse of the US dollar as other countries will rush to offload the dollar as well as its value starts to plummet. I beleive that sooner or later China will attack them using this method because there is no way they are going to sit back and watch while europe and america locks them out of africa.
easier said than done
