Hi louie3, please how can we go around those words the voices don't really pronounce correctly. Waiting for the update. Thanks.

For example when you want to type a website.lets say nairaland.com. you see the (.) In the url? The sofware will recognise it as full stop. So what you do is spell it as dot. I think the same applies to @ for emails.
Then if you want to input two seperate words that are joined together. Lets say Nairaland. The software will not recognise these as two seperate words joined to form one. It will try to pronounce it as one and will end up saying nonsense. In such a situation you will type it as NairaLand. You see how the first alphabet of each word is capitalized.
Then for words such as SEO and co. That needs to be pronounced individually, the software will recognise as one word. In this example it will pronounce SEO as c-o or something like that. You can space the alphabets or put full stop in front of each word like S.E.O .
Make sure you type using WORD before you transfer to naturalReader. Cus it obeys WORD's format of typing. Thats all i can remember now. Make sure you listen to your recordings very well to spot errors before using it. I don talk my own. I hope this helps.

Thanks louie for the lovely information. I've just concluded the voice over for one of the videos. To add to what he said earlier on, you can read through this site http://www.howtogeek.com/217348/how-to-record-the-sound-coming-from-your-pc-even-without-stereo-mix/ to see how to record sound input from your system. They also added how to use audacity to record. The beauty of using audacity is once you record, you can edit the sound immediately. You do not need to start importing the audio before editing.

Also audacity saves the audio in wav format. To convert to mp3 which is the file format explaindio requires, you can just go to media.io, upload the file and select the format you want to change it to which is mp3 in this case or you can also see here how to add mp3 support to audacity http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/40274/how-to-add-mp3-support-to-audacity-to-save-in-mp3-format/

Your head is there. I am Glad that i could be of some help.

Now you have your, now you can convert the text to voice. The next thing is to get the rendered content out of the software. For those that know how to record stuff with their system the next step is not suppose to be hard, but for you that dont know how to record from system. Just download Audacity or any other Audio editing software. You can even use a screen recording software for this(i use camtasia). Normally when you want to record with any recording software in your system it will also record the systems Microphone. This means it will record outside the system. Like if you talk it will record your voice too or if the room is silent it will record the static with it. This is bad and will mess up your recording. So turn off the microphone functionality in your recording software so that it will only record the input sounds from your system.
Next start your recording. Go to naturalReader and Play it to read the text you put there. It will record the voice as it reads the text out.
After that you can just take the recording to your audacity or similar software and cut out the part you dont want. Or increase the pitch or anything you want to do. Na you come sabi.
Now there is something you will find out when using TTS softwares. They obey the rules of english and wont read some words correctly. I will post on how to bypass this problem next.

Oya you will see the option at the top that says speaker. Click on it and you will see option to choose different voices. Dont choose any, they all nonsense. Just go to the option that says "Add more Natural Sounding Voices". You will be taken to a place where you can download other voices in different accents. Download the one you like. Normally a TTS software will allow you convert the text to voice and save it as mp3 format. But the free version does not allow this. So this is where the trick lies.

For those looking for how to get natural sounding voices. Like male or female voices with american,spanish,chinese,british and other accents.
This is how i do my own. If you have better way abeg drop am.
First download NaturalReader. The free version. This sofware will come with voices but they will all be robotic. So to get the natural voice, open the software. You will see a button which says "Add New". Click on it. This will give options of whether to import your document or create new one and a bunch of other options. Just choose the one that suits you.

Ok, I downloaded the NaturalReader, the free version. But it doesnt have the option of saving the voice. Its asking that I upgrade to the paid version before I can be able to do that. The cheapest package in the paid version is around $65. What do you think?

Its like you need this urgently. Since i cant drop the software because of lack of data(na etisalat 60mb i dey manage). I will just instruct you on what software to use and how to download. Then how to bypass the crack for the software. Will explain with screenshot, so no worry. This is also for the benefits of others.

Yes you can. I use it to voice over in my animation gig and youtube tutorial. Just look for the right software and download human voices because the ones that follow these softwares usually sound robotic. If not for lack of data i would have dropped it on dropbox and shared it here.

Hi house, cc all video makers in the house.

Please I've been working on a couple of videos for a buyer using explaindio. The issue now is he wants me to add voice over and he's willing to pay more. I told him I didn't have a US accent but I could speak very well and he sent me a couple of texts and asked that I record my voice and send which I did. And he replied saying he loved my voice.

The problem now is I tried recording the voice over with my system but the sound quality was beyond horrible.

So, does anyone know how and where I can get a really good and affordable external microphone for pc or do you know how else I can do the voice over and get a better audio output.

Its really urgent. Its about 9 videos and I have just a few more days to deliver.

You can download a text to speech software. You will get male and female voices and in different accents like american, british, chinese etc. There are several softwares out there but many will just give you a robotic voice. So after much research i discovered NaturalReader and downloaded some natural sounding voices. This is what i use for my gigs and tutorials. I hope this helps.

Hello Guys, for those of you interested in the Video Animation GIG, from previous discussions on this thread, it has been ascertained that VideoScribe, VideoMakerFX and Explaindio are the best for making video animation. How to get VideoScribe for free has already been treated. While doing some research, I found VideoMakerFx and how to crack it to a full version. If you follow this tutorial step by step you should have your Full Version VideoMakerFx application running on your PC in a matter of minutes. Direct download links to all the softwares you will need are also included. You will need about 250 - 300MB in all. So here we go:


1. First Download XAMPP from https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html and install it. It about 100+MB. Choose the one that matches your OS requirement.

(Note: XAMPP is the most popular PHP development environment. If you are familiar with Java Runtime environment from or .NET from Microsoft, this is another of its type. Some App won’t work without this environment(s) running in the background on your system so don’t stress your head trying to understand what it is. Just Install. The XAMPP open source package has been set up to be incredibly easy to install and to use.

2. Next download, extract and Install Videomakerfx 1.05 Setup.exe. (or any other version you like) if it’s not already installed on your PC. It’s about 146MB.

It’s a Zip folder that comes with the Video Maker FX Installer and some other files we will need later. Install and Do Not run the Video Maker Fx yet after installation.

3. Open C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Note: To get to your “hosts” file in Windows 10 or 8, just search for Notepad (If you’re using Windows 10 this will be on the Start Menu), then right-click on Notepad in the search results list, and choose to run it as administrator.

In Windows 7, simply press your Windows Button and R together on your keyboard to open RUN, then type in

“notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts”

(Without the quotation marks), this should work in Windows 8 and 10 but I haven’t tried it. If this opens (it should be a Notepad document), then skip step 4 below.

4. Open the file named ‘hosts’ with notepad

5. Scroll to the last line, hit enter to take you to a new line and then add

127.0.0.1 auth7.videomakerfx.com

Note: you don’t need to add the # at the beginning like the others. You may also see similar 127.0.0.1 text under those that begin with the #. Depending on the softwares you have installed on your system. AVAST also alters this hosts file so if you use AVAST you should see its handwork there. Just add yours to make it the last on the list.

6. On the menus at the top, select File, then Save or just simply press Ctrl S.

Note you can’t and shouldn’t save the file "hosts" with any name other than "hosts". Also pay attention to save the file host in the same file type, don’t change the extension to .txt or .doc or .dcox (in case you are opening it with Microsoft Word. And that is why you need to use the notepad). In windows 7 remember to open the notepad as administrator otherwise you won’t be able to save it in the same directory.

7. Run XAMPP - apache service. You have to open the program and activate apache service (that is if it hadn’t already prompted you to run after installation is complete. If it did, then skip this step.

Note: To know if your XAMPP Environment is active and all is running as planned type 127.0.0.1 in your browser. XAMPP start page should come up if everything is ok. If NOT FOUND or CANT CONNECT pops up, then it means it’s not working properly, go back to Re-install the XAMPP you earlier downloaded and try again.

8. Copy the file CheckAuth.php from the video+maker+fx.zip you downloaded and paste in the directory C:\xampp\htdocs

9. Now Run VideoMakerFX and enter whatever details you like.

10. Enjoy!

Note: Every time you want to run the VideoMakerFX program, ensure XAMPP is running (refer to Step 7 above), XAMPP must be running to be able to run VideoMakerFX

If you have Skype installed on your system, it will conflict with XAMPP if they are both running at the same time. Configure one of them to run at another port.

If you have any issues, am here.

Am also working of how to get the Full version of Explaindio and how to get it cracked. Once I have it and have tested and trusted it, I will let the house in on how to get it too.

the first file we are going to look at is the Config.ph file. Locate it at the system/application/config.php
The config.php file contains a series of configuration options that CodeIgniter uses to keep track of your application's information and settings.
The first configuration option you need to set inside config.php is the base URL of your application.
You do that by setting the absolute URL for $config['base_url'] ,
