Whoever wrote this in the name of FFP which as u will all agree with me is literally an unknown group is very wrong in their assessments, yes I agree to the fact that Nigeria has some fundamental problems which started a long time ago and then accumulated into the huge problems that Nigeria is facing today, but calling Nigeria a failed state is a very wrong assessment,I was expecting to see the likes of Syria,Libya,Mali,Mexico, but I did not, these are places where you have had a systematic breakdown of law and order, these are places where their govts have lost control of their regions.for crying out loud the NSA just travelled to damaturu, where he met with the elders of that place, this is a man that has not been in office up to a month and yet the importance of his office and not he himself was respected by the elders of the hottest zone of the boko haram saga, this does not exemplify a place taken over by insurgents, and they had their meeting devoid of any crisis.if you tell me Nigeria is underdeveloped I will tell you yes, that until recently the welfare of Nigerians had been ignored by past govts but calling Nigeria a failed state is the height of blasphemy,as of the last I heared the country has actually started moving forward, one agonizing step after the other. |
I loved one particular statement in the whole write up and that is"WE ARE ADDRESSING THE STRUCTURAL WEAKNESSES STANDING BETWEEN US AND REVOLUTIONALIZING THE POWER SECTOR,SOME OF THE PROBLEMS ARE DEEP BUT NOT BEYOND THE GOVT".Now that is a statement made by a realist and an intellectual, this is not some cheap politician that will just trumpet out I will give you light but does not address the basic problems.once the foundation is strong then the building will stand eternally.i still insist that this govt will clear doubt, because I have seen the approach with which they are going about the whole power thing and I can say that to the best of my knowledge they are going about everything the right way,one step at a time, doing first things first. |
Some people really lack hand work, putting an psic of the president just to encourage talk,I tire for una o |
Personally it's not been long I registered on nairaland, never even knew it existed until I saw a friend of mine blogging and I started following the discussion he was on that day,I was totally amazed that such a platform existed,I immediately signed up and ever since then ve been blogging, but ve noticed that some people here feel that because theyve been on nairaland longer than others that then makes their opinion more concrete or relevant than we the newcomers, well I have news for some of u guys like Canuck, ufeolorun, you are absolutely wrong.and by the way I am a dyed in the wool GEJ supporter who believes the man is here for transformation indeed, does that make me a paid govt agent,I can't say because nobody has given me one naira yet,but I will continue to engage in consructive arguments, critisicms, and if anybody feels he won't read my post because am a newcomer then you can go take a jump from the 45th floor window and I wish you safe landing. |
This kobo junkie of a human beign is exactly Wat his name implies a junkie, can you pls for a minute stop castigating and actually listen to what the man is saying.why have you decided to put yourself on the war path,go and cross check all the greatest achievements of men, they were never completed on the exact schedule that they were planned, you can quote me anywhere MR KOBOJUNKIE |
I totally believe in GEJ now after watching that media chat, the man is in charge, and when I say in charge I mean totally in charge. |
Yesterday after listening to GEJ for the first 1hr I was totally swept off my feet, that was not a man who was coached to answer the media but a man who was in control of the situation and knew first hand everything that was going on in all parts of the country.Mr president I salute you the man in charge. |
Haba some people can lie o,and see the way they put it,a day before Okonjo Iweala took over, that way it will sound sweet and novelty will be brought into the story, whoever wrote this,I feel insulted as I expect all Nigerians to be because whomever wrote this is saying that we are a bunch of gullible people, there are things called records my brothers, and nobody in this world can ask a firm like jp morgan to expunge the records of such a Huge transaction,so whether they did it before she came in or not the records will be there for her to access.please this story is a sham.please GEJ haters try harder. |
Sahara reporters, why did you have to goof up this bad, people have been calling you rumor mongers and you just went ahead to prove them right.na wa o,you guys should have tried to confirm your news first before putting it out there for all to see. |
