ballabriggs: Chai see the low lives wey Maku dey employ O!!! I even dey curse Oronto and Omokri before say dem no sabi work, now this one na lowest of the lowest lives. with this your comment, it's not hard to tell that you are the low life. |
ubandire: If it is this one alone, I must admit Maku is different. Those jingles were very irritating in the past. One just turns on the radio and the first thing you hear is noise about "good people. Great nation" it used to be very annoying and I always wondered how that could serve as information dissemination. I never like that rebranding idea. As far as I'm concerned, it was a waste of public funds. What was Akunyili rebranding? It was tantamount to deodorizing bull shit.GBAM! |
It would appear that Al-Makura is engaged in only cosmetic projects,I don't think I have actually seen any projects that impacts directly on the welfare of the people of Nassarawa state, and the worst part is that Maku is from that state and so is the opposition to the governor so he cannot actually come out and criticize him because people will start shouting that he is witch hunting him because of personal interests, but obviously it is quite clear that in the North Central he came last in terms of performance. |
Standing5: Threads in Nl don't get hidden but are allowed to die naturally if people don't comment on them over time. It goes to show people aren't thrilled by GEJ's media crue. What is that supposed to mean,my friend say what you know only, when I visited the thread on the tour in benue it was very active with some debating for Suswam and some against, personally I supported those against suswams performance so far,so there is no way that thread could have just dissapeared that easily,it was purposefully hidden, there's no two talk about that,a very deliberate action. |
AYE,start unbanning with immediate effect, but come to think of it,why would anybody want to be hiding the good governance tour threads,I thought t was a welcome development,I hope Jarus and co have not sold their integrity and that of this forum, now that would be very pathetic, please start unbanning all threads relating to the NGGT 2012 in case you people don't know it's been a very informative tour. |
You know I can remember some months back when all this brouhaha began, there were many cynics here on nairaland who said that the case against these subsidy thieves was just a ruse and that it would soon fizzle out,but yoohoo!!the criminals are in court, almost fifty of them, their cases have been taken to court and they have been summoned, but they in return have hired the best lawyers in the land to defend them, imagine where the EFCC alone has to hire lawyers to battle these men who are ready to spend hundreds of millions to remain free, and so hire lawyers that will find the slightest loophole in the law to draw out the case, that is the system we have, but imagine if the CJN were to listen to the presidency and set up special courts for corruption, that way corruption cases brought before these specials corts would be dealt with and expedited on immediately.that is what we should be canvassing for right now,the president needs our solidarity now because this is one president who is secluding himself away from power brokers and sticks to mainly the technical team he is running the country with. |
Elueme: Can someone tell Suswan to shut the heck up? Tactically blaming his non performers on Federal government. FG should renovate and build new roads , schools for you or develop your agricultural produce?.Ain't you in the same zone with JONA Jang, Abdul Fatai and Babaginda Aliu? You have got to seat up and stop expecting help where you may never find it. The FG has its cross to carry..So you see my point now,Suswam could have done better, especially in the Agricutural sector,if I was the governor of benue state,in just two years other states will be coming to borrow money from me,I would so triple my IGR through agriculture but Suswam has not done any of these,,instead he will stay there and be waiting for the FG to come and carry him on its back as its baby.let him not see Kwara and Plateau and even Niger sef.nobody said e has not worked, don't misunderstand me,he has,but he could have done more.and something else, this is actually the first time something like this is happening in Nigeria, with all the townhall meetings included,at least we now get to see what they said they have done and then we get to ask questions and criticize them openly and tell them if we are satisfied with their performances or not,we now get to score them based on first hand information and awareness of all their projects, this is Democracy beign ingrained and the tradition of asking questions of our leaders and the attitude of us overseeing these their projects ourselves beign introduced. |
If the GEJ administration is the one that actually built and is still building all these transmission lines and cables, then I believe I can say for a fact that the Govt is really dedicated to the ending of our power problems and it would appear that for once they are following up the commitment with sincerity and real work. |
Elueme: I can't wait to compare Fashola vs Akpabio, Amaechi vs Oshiomohle , Ajimobi vs Sule Lamido etc.. An end is coming to propaganda... We shall see things live with our naked eyes.I tell you,I can't wait oh,no more long talk, this is now the era of SHOW US,LET US SEE IT. |
Countryman93: The guy still try ooo. You need to see the Benue state university structures that he has built. He also rebuilt that Makurdi -Naka road and put in solar streets lights all over the town.True and I commend him for that, but he is a second term governor and more should be able to be attributed to his government,I mean putting in street lights, yes it beautifies the town but it does not effect any change in the lives of the average man out there,he constructed roads and it is vey lovely, but benue is an agric state and so far Suswam has not done much to further the welfare of the farmers, let him encourage mechanized farming and that will make a huge impact in benue state.Nice one to Maku anyways I like the idea of this his tour greatly,it is really a very enlightening initiative and a nice move by the Ministry of Information to create the awareness about Govt projects that we as Nigerians lack. |
What is that supposed to mean,am I not saying what everybody knows is for a fact, you spend times two of what you spend in jos in bayelsa on a kilometer of road, but that aside what marginalization are you talking about, can't you see all the projects beign undertaken by the FG in plateau state alone, not to talk about the ones that have been seen previously in both Niger and Kwara,or have you not been following this tour, what s your problem, which one is marginalization again,my guy it begins to manifest itself to me that you might actually be suffering from a chronic case of inferiority complex,if you are following the mouth of Gov Jang what do you expect him to say, that he's okay with what the FG gives,no way his a politician even though I must commend him on the much he has accomplished considering the fact that he does not get as much as much as some seriously under performing governors, but please no more talk of marginalization please. |
Wait to believe that we have this kind of scenery in Nigeria, see roads men, that road that goes between those rocks looks like Nevada, look at the quality of those roads,it's really making sense, anyway why won't it make sense, the money used to construct 50km of that road won't construct up to 30km in Bayelsa, but anyway nice one to the FG and Jang. |
Hmmmm, this Maku guy strong, did he not hear that they killed a senator in Plateau state,if he is confident enough to go there then it must mean that the security forces have gotten things under control there,I like the mans ginger and swag, please keep on showing them projects let them know that this Govt is changing their lives, and he and his entourage went by bus from Niger state, nice one,you won't see the critics here, this is Maku and GEJ clearing their doubt. |
This tour is quite enlightening, projects going on in different parts of the country, one thing I particularly like about this tour is the fact that it helps to clarify that notion that you don't stay in your little corner or shell and try to be a judge, this country is moving forward and at the end of this tour critics will be put paid to,Comrade Maku, indeed you have given substance to the office you occupy, nice work, carry on with the illumination(he has removed obstacles to their understanding). |
Why won't they, you can begin to see why foreign private investors fear coming to invest in Nigeria, how will a governor come out and say he will not support this privatization process that was done as transparently as it could be,this whole thing is being done for the betterment of the people,we simply do not want Government participation again, let them concentrate on power generation, that is where we need them, what s all these, why won't these people allow us,this is the kind of talk that will begin to try and derail the whole process, but anyway things were done strictly according to the guidelines set,if uduaghan and his fellow governors don't like what just happened let them resign.these governors sef,who do they think they are, demigods.they must give the successful company all the help and logistics they need to take over those facilities,if we hear of any agitation at least we will know who the sponsors are.it's paining them they did not get any piece of the pie, eeyaa people more powerful than them got it all and it is paining them die, chai!!!!! |
Wsdm: Who's failure is it to protect these people? Is it the Jtf with meager allocations or the ex- militant turned contractors? Have we not seen that crime perpetrators are having unimaginable freedom under this regime. I just wish God almighty will call these leaders to order.Or is it not under this administration that we started hearing and getting records of police arrests, hearing of JTF bursting these criminals in their bases, just watch out you will soon hear of their arrests and the rescue of the expatriates. |
Jonathan is totally fit and qualified to run for president come 2015,and come that election,he shall be voted back into power and he will not just win,but he will win with a landslide majority, because we all come 2015 shall say to ourselves that indeed he deserves a return ticket, and he shall get our vote of confidence to carry on.everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but one thing I know for sure is that POSTERITY shall be on my side. |
caseless: I pray the case of NDP sail through and 2011 election nullified. Let's have another election conducted, i'm sure he will contest again. I cant wait till 2015 to pay this hat-capped president back for causing me so much pain in just few years in office as the president of this country. Spending four good yrs under this shoeless guy is like buying a bedspace in hell.Men of so little faith,at the end of the four years, you shall eat your words back |
taharqa: OH MY GOD.......I agree with you. It is not actually a laughing matter. It is very serious. Very very serious. |
Who doesn't know that ACN is an aggregation of hypocrites led by a thorough bred Abgero and fraudster? I am not surprised in anyway. Odumakin is just reaffirming the obvious. We all know how they conspired with Salami to rob people's mandate in broad daylight. This just a tip of the iceberg. More revelations are to come. |
I can't see the likes of DEMDEM and GBAWE. where are they? They need to come and defend their pay or risk sack . Abi Tinubu never pay them salaries? Maybe he has spent all in Ondo. Kpele. |
Demdem: Security votes are not collected from Abuja. Besides abuja itself doesn't have any money of its own except the ones that comes from the various states of the federation.Pray, tell me,where are security votes collected from, your backyard, when Aregbesola was running for governor did he not promise the people of his state that he would provide security for them, how can he say he is not the Cso of his state, then Who is?the IG or no it's Mr President, all the monies collected monthly as security vote, monies the law does not require Them to Disclose how it was expended,if he is not the cso then he doesn't have any right to that money, |
Anybody calling for the devolution of states into geo-political zones has not learnt from the lessons of history, having 36 state is one of the best things about Nigeria, the problem with Nigeria as a country is the fact that the local governments are almost nonexistent, the only thing remaining would have been state police,I believe each state should be in control of its own police force, but then again some of our Governors are thugs and so they would not hesitate to take advantage,so we must wait until such a time when our politics gains civility. |
At least they contributed something, unlike so many big men in this country of ours. |
I get where the Bakassi people are coming from, but this isnot about GEJ stopping Bakassi from beign handed to cameroun,it should be about them beign resettled properly and adequately to suit their lifestyle and heritage. |
Nice one, this is the kind of news that we are all hoping to be hearing, these are the kind of people GEJ is empowering and encouraging with the right policies beign put in place,by the time the tenure of this administration is up from all indications GEJ's name will be written in gold and we will be counting Nigerias saga's as Before GEJ and After GEJ. |
"LMFAO" ,SOME PEOPLE CAME HERE TO ATTACK THE SEMI LITERATE LEGISLATORS THAT CAN'T WRITE THEIR NAMES,BUT AM SO SORRY TO SAY THAT THEIR EFFORT WAS NOT WORTH IT BECAUSE THEY ENDED UP DEFEATING THEIR MISSIONS PERSONALLY,MY GOD SEE GRAMMER FOR HERE,JEEESUS,NAIJA WAHALA DEY O. |
bigmodo: na today wey we begin hear dis tori. If all dese leaders do wateva dey promise, we fit don pass america today.True talk,I'll give you that, but the reason why I believe this particular case will be different is due to the company that was given the job,SIEMENS is not your everyday by the Side normal company, this is an international conglomerate known for efficiency,so if MOU has been signed with them then I believe they will deliver because they have an international image to protect, and I believe the Vice President of Nigeria will not come out in public to say an MOU has been signed with SIEMENS if it was not because he knows the repercussions of his words if they are not true,so brother me,don't write it off yet, just have a little faith like I do because I strongly believe our future as a country is bright and we will still reach America one day, maybe not in our lifetime but one day. ![]() |
kpozite: .Who told you the satellite is not beign used yet,did they tell you a satellite has just a single function,go to the Nigerian Communication Commission andyou will see the different areas the satellite is already functioning in,the manis telling you other areas where it will also be used in. |
ayeakamara: Are the generating more power via solar energy or increasing internet speed? Because sambo mentioned from electricity supply to internet. There story is not straight forwardFor you to be able to say that you have an efficient communications sector especially in this age of the Internet, you need to have uninterrupted power for this services to be very efficient and for us to maximize its services optimally, that Is how the two are related my dear, e.g,the FCT in collaboration with the ministry of finance just signed for a loan of 100million dollars from the China Exim Bank just for galaxy broadbands, now with the signing of this MOU with SEMIENS for this solar field, you see how they're trying to get everything done. |
Pls Mr Jonathan,do build quickly we cannot afford to experience such catastrophe again in this country, see damages,I really feel the pain of the displaced populace, this indeed is a natural disaster befallen us. |
Ebony Agro, has already started supplying its proudly made in Nigeria rice, which is of international standard and can stand any imported foreign rice in quality, any day, anytime, thanks to one of the 13 modern rice mills installed in the country by the govt,(they benefitted from the one in Ebonyi State)and don't forget that Dominion Farms has aquired 30,000 hectares of land in taraba state for rice planting which is to commence in December which is normally planting period, when this goes into operation, this rice farm will consequently become the largest rice paddy in Africa, and don't forget that dominion farms is like the largest producer and processor of quality rice in Kenya,so they have the needed experience and expertise to make sure this venture succeeds, and in addition,50 young commercial rice farmers have been sent to Kenya for a 5 months training course in rice farming to turn them into professionals.and to add to that a mill with milling capacity of 10,000MT/yr has been ordered for starters solely for this farm,so by the time it's harvest season there will be no problem processing the huge amount of rice that will need to be processed,so you see the President knows what he is talking about and is working towards achieving it. |
