It is great to be here I am interested in research but limited by space and as such I can't go beyond 90-100cm dishes in tracking birds.
I must say that I have learnt so much from this free to air thread and I am will to know more and as well pass it over to the new comers too.

My question here is, is it possible to track off print birds with my sizes of dish when used with an HD lnb or is there a particular lnb that has high signal quality.

Try test the box with another dish and cable to see if there will be any improvement maybe your cable are bad but if this doesn't work then look for a good technician to have it fixed for you

Is there a particular operating system that can be used to reload firmware? I've tried using windows vista and on every occasion i get this message 'NO COM PORT AVAILABLE', is there anyway around this?

@all, can anyone help me with the solution to my strong decoder srt4651x, when you power it, it just shows lnbf and the signals so off. sometimes ago, when it does that, i will just off and on again and it will work but afta sometime it will show lnbf but recently if you on it it just shows lnbf and because of that i can even use the decoder. i thought it was wire that was touching, but even after disconnecting the wires from the decoder, it still shows that lnbf, [b]PLS I WANT YOU GUYS TO HELP ME OUT

Just make sure that the LNB cable is well connected to the decoder and LNB itself.

What is the effect of decoder to decoder transfer of firmware if the transfer is interrupted in anyway.

If it just interruption and power is on no problem but if it as a result of power outage then it is kaput(DEAD)

It is of no use giving up now if I were you I will just Prove those people wrong by dropping the koko here for every body to go and test it by themselves and report what their findings are to the forum.

You guys have done real justice to Mr Privaze's case. I think this guy in question has a way of drawing attention to himself and if you asked him to explain his discovery the next thing would be that you have insulted his person yet he keeps coming in hot unfinished stories of discovery.

CTL dey transmit terrestrial frequencies and DSTV transmits satellite frequencies how possible is this are you using a yagi antenna or a satellite dish?

If u reside in umuahia or owerri u'll get it. It just like the former video machine setup. But this one is digital wit about 20 channels includin aljezeera sport 1 to 10 and mbc's.

does it mean that I one get a CTL decoder and a yagi antenna will this work out in PH 2 cos I have one resting in my room

You can track with dish in dstv position using their decoder but problem is how to track with strong decoder.

Please post the tp and symbol rate here for further research

I have nail both bird on 65cm. my 68.5e gives me 40% while intelsat 17 hit 30% and they both work well.

Good talk from every persons who make their contribution concerning this word fight that isgoing on on this forum if you don't want to help somebody just read his/her post and move on than trying to make a fool out of the person we all were once a newbie (novice) at one piont before becoming a DIY guru.
I think by this we would make good use of this thread's pages that are being wasted for the use of abusive word than using it to make meaningful contribution to the thread.
