There is no doubt manufacturing companies who rely on forex are increasing their cost of production and I believe that's not what the OP is arguing about cause that will be so lame.

Let me use this garri producer as an example

I produce a bag of garri in a week and previously sell it at 12000 naira. Then I used to buy my peak milk for my breakfast at 100 naira, my sachet milo at 30 naira. I often transport my cassava to my home at 100 naira and to the market after production at 200 naira.

Now the company producing peak milk has increased their price dueto the unfavorable exchange rate and now sell to wholesalers at 100 naira which was initially sold to them at 80 naira while it's passed to retailers at 90 naira.

The wholesaler adds his usual 10 naira profit and said hey I bought kerosene to cook last week at 300 naira and other things have increased prices too. so I have to include extra 5 naira for this milk to cover for those extra cost on those my daily needs. He now sells to retailers at 115 naira.

The retailers who normally buy at 90 naira and and sell 100 naira will also add their 10 naira profit and since they have also realized their daily expenses has increased will add 5 naira to cover it and now sell at 130 naira to the consumers and I the garri producer will now buy the milk that used to be 100 naira at 130 naira.

Probably while bringing his garri he noticed the transport to the market has also increased from 200 naira to 300 naira. Probably the Danforth man has also realized his daily needs like soaps, milk, milo etc has also increased in price so he will have to top up his cost too.

Same goes for the milo I used for my breakfast and my bread too.
OP, if you were this garri producer will you still sell your bag of garri at 12000 naira?

A quick flash back made me smile. Abia kopas...camp wasnt really fun in the first two weeks at isi alangwa orientation camp back in 2006 cos of constant rain from morning till dawn. it became so fun filled towards the last week of camping, in all, it was a sweet memory when we got to umudike in Umuahia north.
I miss Simon, Francis, Idris Saromi, Namo Ruth, Kpadoo, Nandak, Bright 'aheke ' and my friendly Government College Umuahia boys of 2006/2007 set.. wish to visit aheke market again *winks*

This reminds me of myself back then. I wanted to be comfy in camp thus made horrible hair that won't need combing, carried all things I would need cos its not my style to borrow, carried a bucket of oranges, carried excess provisions cos God forbid I lose my precious weight...off I went to camp. I came in looking like the village princess that's visiting the city for the first time with my plenty load! It was a struggle to drag my huge bag, a bucket of oranges, my hand luggage and hand bag! The only person who was bold enough to laugh at me to my face while in my self inflicted distress became my good friend afterwards. She saw me and plain bursted into laughter! Of course, I joined and eventually became the babe in room 12 that borrowed everybody everything! Pegs, hangers, robes for drying lines, nylons ,etc. Oh, I forgot to mention that the bucket of big big oranges I bought didn't have enough juice to fill a cup!

NYSC camping is the only fun thing about NYSC. I have this penchant for going late for any public stuff and i got to campa day after camp closed bbecause i needed to tidy somethings in the office.

The soldiers refused to allow me enter and i lied to them that I've been on the road for three days because we are part of the people that were ceded to Cameroun in Bakassi Pennisula. They pitied me and made me their friends because i could build stories just from reading news online


The Camp Director didn't doubt my stiry either and he was pressing me to tell him more but remember if you want to lie BE BRIEF



I went to camp as a big boy because its been long i graduated and going for NYSC wasn't a prority with deals to close. Most of the corp members were still in Year1 when i graduated from school.


I didn't participate in anything in camp because i was busy pursuing an NYSC official. After camp i went to my PPA and the next time i went there again was to do my POP
