Progressive01: When would elections become "ordinary" events that just come and pass as though nothing happened in this part of the world Whenever election approaches, these men just start acting as though they're about to fight a bloody war.
These things just irritate me honestly. If one is voted into office and they perform at least beyond par instead of looting and stealing with reckless abandon while paying little or no attention to the actual purpose for which they were election in the first place, we wouldn't be having all these needless tensions and upheavals when elections approach.
Just too bad. Take a cookie on me. This is the first ever post from you that makes sense. Change don change ya life. |

rhymaster: This thread is another evidence of the never-do-well and bilious, hate-filled people of the east - specifically Ibos. They do not care anything about their own people, they vilify perhaps the only publicly visible man that can have a chance at being recognized in other parts of Nigeria. The man may not be perfect but how about helping him to improve and constructive criticism? Instead these hate-filled children are wishing him death and ill. If anything really afflicted him and he is indeed sick to leave the country, will the average Nigerian and mostly Ibos who populate Imo not be the one to suffer? How about using the avenue to get massive pressure to improve healthcare in the state? Rather you want him to remain sick and always travel out of the state? Is it not you the same Ibos that are losing the most? If you kill this man with your hatefulness, it's your loss anyway! what concerns you with the igbos or do you want your own ghost slap |

PassingShot: I hope this report of torture is not true. And if true, I say may God grant those he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
Tompolo the fugitive should understand that he cannot remain a fugitive forever. He has made his case worse by hiding away.
Those who were Ogbonge fugitives the world had ever known eventually got caught and brought to justice. Tompolo's case won't be different. You just said nothing |
Politics › Re: Thomas Ekpemupolo, Tompolo's Father Dies - Gbaramatu Voice Newspaper by lovat(m): 2:27pm On Sep 07, 2016 |
TonyeBarcanista: Tompolo I sympathise with your family and the people of Gbaramatu kingdom over the painful loss of your beloved father.
However, if you had surrendered earlier, your father wouldn't have been arrested, brutalized or amputated. Perhaps you would be under trial with some privileges as a citizen. Perhaps you would have been a free man on bail as allegations against you bothers on corruption(not treason) which is a bailable offence.
You would have learnt from Major Isaac Adaka Boro, who had to surrender to the Military Police(During the 12 Days Revolution in February 1966) after the arrest of his father and those of his comrades. He was imprisoned, convicted to death but as God would have it, he was later conscripted into the army along with his boys and given the rank of a Major, and celebrated by the same country that put him on death row. It is not too late
The point is allow posterity be the judge. The Nigeria Army is not professional nor do they understand the rulhes of engagement. We should not do what will invite them to our household or our land.
However, if the news of torture is true, then Tompolo's should lay formal complain before the NHRC, The Army and the Presidency.
RIP to the late High Chief Hope you know this your post is neither here nor there. Take a stand |

Progressive01: But in law, ignorance is no defence.
Another thing is, those who form the bulk of his supporters are taking such extreme measure in their own domains! Last time, we heard even their "best performer" gave the herdsmen some financial compensation for loss of cattle!!
They keep pushing people to their own unfortunate end and would never do same to themselves. They applauded Kanu until he wound up where he currently is.
They applauded scAvengers until the mofos ate a million dozen humble pies at the feet of mr President!! They applaud FFK and Fayose but you never hear any of their governors as much as slightly criticising the federal government, let alone insult her as the aforementioned do.
What a people. This one go bring igbo people enter this matter for here. can't you shut up |

modath: Fayose is all fluff no stuff, he grandstands even with no legal leg to stand on... Even if someone does , the constitution of Nigeria trumps any state law which he is only pushing to bait the Fulani man in power & Fayose knows it but is banking on the fact that majority of his followers are not very intelligent so won't delve deep.
The constitution gives EVERYONE unfettered access to any part of the country, it's not right but it's the LAW..
I personally detest the unwholesome, unsanitary and unprogressive mode of wakaing with maalu, but i know it can only be stopped by federal legislation.... All this English because you didn't take time to read Fayose anti grazing bill. read it before typing trash |
