**Urges Ize-Iyamu to Demand Refund of Campaign Expenses from Oshiomhole

The loss of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just-concluded governorship election in Edo State has continued to generate reactions.

A chieftain of the ruling party at the central government, Mr Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, blamed a former national chairman of the APC, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, for the woeful performance at the poll.

Candidate of the PDP, Governor Godwin Obaseki, was declared as winner of the exercise after polling 307,955 votes to defeat his APC opponent, Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu, who raked 223,619 votes.

Mr Obaseki became Governor of the state in 2016 under the APC platform but was denied ticket of the party in 2020 after a misunderstanding with his predecessor, Mr Oshiomhole. This forced him to approach the PDP for a ticket to seek a second term in office.

Reacting to the APC loss at the poll held over the weekend, Mr Eze said the leadership style of the former labour leader cost the party the opportunity to retain Edo State.

He said it was unfortunate that Edo State has been added to the league of states like Zamafara, Rivers, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Sokoto, Adamawa, and Oyo States where “sheer administrative incompetence and gross leadership malady occasioned by the self-styled and kooky steering model of Adams Oshiomole scuttled the electoral chances of the APC and deprived the majority from having their way.”

According to him, the outcome of the Edo gubernatorial election confirmed that “Oshiomhole’s membership of the APC is a curse which has brought brutal misfortune and severe affliction on the party.”

He said the gains and achievements recorded by the party under the “sterling leadership of Mr John Odigie-Oyegun as national chairman have been swept away by the dangerous flood of an unending catastrophe which has overwhelmed the party as a result of Oshiomhole’s disastrous and poor approach to leadership and party politics, stressing that the former labour leader must formally apologise to President Mohammadu Buhari and members of the APC for the serial embarrassments and heavy damages occasioned by his hinky and very quirky carriage.”

While congratulating Mr Obaseki for striving to extinguish godfatherism in Edo State, he urged the Governor to “forgive Oshiomhole and all those who helped him cause havoc in the APC,” asking him to “begin the process of taking back his position in the progressives family which he described as his natural habitat considering his numerous sacrifices and contributions in the formation of the party, assuring that his place in the APC is still very much reserved and intact.”

Also, the APC stalwart counselled Mr Ize-Iyamu to prevail on Mr Oshiomhole to offset all his electoral expenses, emphasising that it was the former Governor’s damaging campaign against him as well as his poor leadership mannerisms that caused him and the APC the election.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies for displaying a high degree of competence and professionalism which translated into a peaceful and very successful electoral outing.

Mr Eze called on Nigerians to commend President Muhammadu Buhari for allowing a transparent process, describing him as a true statesman and democrat, saying the President “equalled the democratic feat of Dr Goodluck Jonathan, who allowed the votes of Edo people to count in 2012 when Adams Oshiomhole was reelected as Edo Governor against all odds.”

suasmablow:
National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has finally reacted to the defeat of the party in just concluded Edo Election.

Tinubu in a statement on Monday urged his supporters and partymen to be consoled by their earlier victories and also find the courage to take pleasure in their defeats.

He expressed pride at the extent the opposition went just to bring his party down in the contest, saying that it's an indication of greatness.

The former Lagos State Governor concluded that against the general belief by some persons, they are just men and not gods.

"We should enjoy and take pleasure from our defeats as much as we take from our victories.

The extent and length they go to see us down shows how great we are.

Our defeats should be a lesson that we are not gods, that we are but men."

Naija Politics Hub recalls that some Nigerians had taken to social media to mock Tinubu after the defeat of the APC in last Saturday's governorship election in Edo State.

Many reactions after the reelection of Gov.Obaseki had praised Edo People for ending godfatherism, who Tinubu is believed to be one.

Politics › Re: APC Rejects Edo Governorship Election Results by Lovelive: 10:39pm On Sep 20, 2020
Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State chapter on Sunday said Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, immediate past National Chairman of the party should be held responsible for the party’s loss in Saturday’s governorship election which was won by Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Barr. Anselm Ojezua, the Edo state chairman of APC said the result of the election has vindicated his position that Oshiomhole’s dictatorial attitude will lead to the downfall of the party in the state.

While calling on the party leadership to sanction Oshiomhole, Ojezua said members of the APC in Edo may be forced to review their membership of the party if disciplinary action is not taken against the former Edo state governor.

I think the position of Edo APC, prior to the disqualification of Governor Godwin Obaseki has been vindicated. Before that, the Edo APC had already reached a consensus with Obaseki as the candidate but Oshiomhole thought otherwise”.

“He abused his office as National chairman, pushed the governor out of the party and you can see that the beneficiary is now PDP.

The result of his illegal actions is what we witnessed today. I don’t see how APC can recover from this”.

“Oshiomhole factionalised the party, created a faction in the name of EPM, brought a candidate from outside the party and forced him down the throat of the party. They campaigned without the party behind them and they expected to win. This is the result”.

“That was why I said I will not speak until after the election and now I have been vindicated. If I spoke before the election, they will say it is anti-party. Now we know who has done anti-party”.

"Honestly, if the party does not do anything to sanction Oshiomhole, then we in Edo APC will have to review our membership of that party, because we gave notice, we warned the party, we petitioned the leadership; there is nothing we did not do to salvage the situation within the last 15 to 18 months”.

“The party only took steps after Obaseki has left which is an irredeemable loss. Everyone can see the result now”.

BleedingPen:
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has rejected the outcome of Saturday's Edo Governorship, in which incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki was declared winner.

Igbere TV had on Sunday reported how Obaseki, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, secured 307,955 votes to defeat Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the APC candidate, who got 223, 619 votes.

In a statement forwarded to Igbere TV, Sunday, the APC alleged foul play in election, but called on party members to stay calm "while party leaders study the result and decide what is next."

In the statement signed by the Chairman of the APC Media Campaign Council, Mr. John Mayaki, rejecting the result, the APC cited alleged strong arm tactics.

"Our people were arbitrarily arrested, many of the figures were fabricated," said the terse statement, which the party said was only a preliminary reaction.

It further alleged illicit tampering with results, to shore up PDP numbers and mark down APC's.

"Areas where we won, they cancelled them.  They decreased the votes in areas we had advantage," the party further claimed. "They rejected our results and jerked up theirs."

Meanwhile, the party also claimed there was arbitrary arrest of local party members, who could have resisted the outrage, while Governor Godwin Obaseki was busy diverting attention with false alarm.

"Obaseki shouted that he was being rigged out and blamed INEC at the initial stage but that was to divert attention from the evil going on in the field", the statement said.

The party, however, told its members to stay calm, thanking them for their support, and adding that party leaders were studying the result and would announce their decision and course of action as soon as possible.

Apc is playing with fire. I trust Wike. He go give them back once he steps out of Edo State.

Uncleodi:
The attention of the entire People of Rivers State has been drawn to the siege laid at the Hotel where the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike is lodging while on official assignment in Benin, Edo State.

Recall that Governor Wike was appointed Chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council for the Edo Governorship election; this is same position Governor Ganduje of Kano State occupies for his party the APC.

Governor Ganduje and Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State are all in Benin, Edo State carrying out their assignment for the APC without any molestation or intimidation.

And in a breach of the pledge they made security agencies have decided to harass and intimidate Governor Wike who has not done any wrong.

May I on behalf of entire Rivers People Warn that we Shall hold the IGP responsible for anything that happens to our Governor.

Signed:

Foreign Affairs › Trump: Just The Truth by Lovelive(op): 12:14am On Sep 14, 2020
*TRUMP HAS SPOKEN AGAIN. JUST THE TRUTH*

"DONALD TRUMP'S SPEECH ON "RISE UP AFRICANS".

*They are good in nothing else but making noise, dancing, marrying many wives, alcoholism, witchcraft, indulging in sex, pretending in church, jealousy, fighting and complaining of bad leadership; but, yet refuse to take a decisive action and protest to remove the brigands from position of power.*

*Let us all accept the fact that the black man is a symbol of poverty, mental inferiority, laziness and emotional incompetence. To make the matter worse, he can do everything possible to defend his stupidity. Give them money for development and they will fight and create hatred and enmity for themselves. Drill oil wells for them and they will not have peace all the days of their life.*
*See, for instance, what's happening in Nigeria (a Country blessed with abundant resources), Southern Sudan, Malawi, DRC just to mention at few.*
*"This proves to anybody including a stupid fool that Africans do not know what they want. isn't that plausible"?*
*"They are like monkeys looking for already ripping banana all over the world!!!.*

*Therefore that the white man is created to rule the black man, Africans will always have day dreams.*
*And here is the creature (black man) that lacks foresight but only sees what is near him and still fails to know what to do"*
*A black man is stupid to the extent that he cannot plan for his life beyond a year. Therefore how can they develop and live longer.*

*"Corruption in the west (And China) is a big abomination, but in Africa, it's so huge that it is slowly becoming an acceptable way of life!!!.*(Shame, isn't it?)

*They sing and rejoice to their corrupt political leaders. They worship their scandal-ridden religious leaders like their gods. Lest you forget, these so called Africans are praising, dancing and praying for the people that have impoverished them, and who comes to hide their loot here.*

*Then which fool argues that the black man is not born a beggar, grows a beggar, looks a beggar, falls sick as a beggar and dies a beggar. this has been proven beyond reasoning.*
*I wonder why even up to now most Africans still go to school by force, and those who are at school are are just drug addicts who don't know what took them there. This is a pregnant stupidity in Africa. The body of Africans is a very fertile ground for all diseases in the world because they don't fear even HIV/AIDS.*
*This leaves me with a question: Are our eyes created the same with those Africans? I hear there are still cultures in Africa that prohibit them from using latrines which is very annoying.*

*"They cried for independence but have failed to rule themselves". For sure being African is a very untreatable disease that even prayers are not enough.*
*They have minerals but they cannot do anything with it. Therefore let us (whites) go to Africa and pick what we can pick and leave what is of no use. Poverty is a disease to the whites, but to the blacks it is very normal.*

*"Look at what is currently going on in Nigeria National Assembly. Legislators amending the constitution to favor themselves at the expense of two (200) million Nigerians.

*"Majority of these legislators are treasury looters who are intellectually barren but using the ill gotten wealth to oppress the citizens of that great country".*

*"What a shame"!*
*Black people with black sense. The worst tragedy in Africa is that if you dare stand up and speak up for what's right, you may end up regretting.*
*"The few wise and open-minded Africans who have tried to educate these fools about civilization have met the worst. They have been pushed hard on the wall, they have been silenced and others have been killed".*
*Before I finish, let me tell Africans that before you jump and call me a racist, an anti-blacks or whatever term you may wish to use against me,1st tackle runaway corruption, dreadful terrorism, tribalism, poverty, unemployment, diseases, illiteracy, ignorance, and inequality, that have put your whole continent on the verge of collapse".*
*"Hate me or love me

, I don't care.I know this is the plain truth which will never see the light of the day to the cowards that are afraid to be told as it is".*

*By- Donald .J. Trump.*

*PLEASE SHARE WITH EVERY AFRICAN AND POLITICAL LEADERS SO THAT AFRICA IN OUR OWN TIME WILL EMERGE AN INDUSTRALISED CONTINENT TO PUT THE TRUMPS AND WHITE SUPREMACIST TO SHAME.*

*IF YOU READ THIS AND YOU ARE NOT CHALLENGED AS A HUMAN I AM SORRY!*

Wao

I enjoyed reading this; I wish you should continue this write up.
Guyman02:
One strategy that we have noticed under this administration is for them to burn down INEC offices and card reader storage, then everything will be done manually, the security agents and thugs in fake military uniforms will drive round polling stations shooting and scaring away voters and snatching ballot boxes, then a University Professor will be appointed to announce fake results.

The loser who was rigged out will be told by the Godless winner that Power belongs to God and he gives it to whoever he wishes and he should accept the results as the 'will' of the people.

He is then advised to proceed to court which will take several months after which 7 judges will give a verdict that makes no sense to any reasonable person based on technicalities, if Justice Tanko Idris is presiding the judgement will be in favour of APC, if Justice Mary Odili is presiding the judgement will be in favour of PDP.

Then the activists will go back to holding seminars on implementing electoral reforms and on your way to work in the vehicle radio you will hear Nigerians ranting and lamenting about how the price of garri and local rice has increased and how the election was rigged in their area which makes no sense to Buhari.

Then you open Nairaland to check the outcome of the election and all you will see are comments like anyone that IPOB support loses election, Igbos should leave Lagos for Omoluabi, damn Niggar Issoright, Edo no be Lagos, Shame to Ambode, Tinubu should go back to Iragbiji, from all of us at MANNABBQGRILL, Nnamdi Kanu said it, Afonja led him to failure, Mynd55 rule 2, Local Man is tired, wetin Musa no go see for gate, Musa moves his gate to another location, zombies come and see, wailers, Righteousness99 according to John 3:24, the loser should repent and seek the face of the Lord before the rapture cool
