Health / 30 Days Tummy Fat Blast Challenge by LoverOfLove: 8:11am On Sep 20, 2021 |
I want to loose fat around my Tommy area and my arms. I'm a student and I really can't spend so much on fibre and other healthy foods I should take to enhance weight loss. I can't afford gym registration too so I came up with a plan to loose weight. If you're in this situation too, let's do a challenge to loose 7 inches around the Tommy area in 30 days. If you're in, let me know so that I'll drop the plan. |

ritaprincess: Your submission is very flawed and I can't seem to ignore it. Pounded yam is bad? Please tag that nutritionist that told you this nonsense or point me to the website that mentioned it because it's crap. Absolute crap. Many of the native foods we eat in Nigeria are healthy but our problem starts from portion control. I'm not a fan of pounded yam but I'm supposed to give you a hard knock on your head for the statement. It's not like people chew the pounded yam. People pair it with vegetables and different kinds of proteins. The fact that you opened your mouth waaaaaaaaaaa to spew untrue facts just annoys me. Ahn ahn. I'm very sure the quantity of pounded yam you consume is different from the quantity of oat you consume. I have many things to say but I'll stop here. Ahhhhh, Rita, I suppose knock you oo 30 Likes 1 Share |

Lesgupnigeria: I just read through the thread and you've been doing a great job. I am very passionate about agriculture. I grew up planting different crops in our home. Even though I try to kick away the passion, it has a way of drawing my attention. I planned to start cassava plantation last year but it didn't work out due to lack of knowledge. I'm also interested in plantain plantation. I've registered for the bootcamp and I can't wait to learn. I'm still a student but I've been saving some money. I really hope to get the best from this bootcamp because I really can't wait to start my farming business. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Pause Your Job Hunt And Read This by LoverOfLove: 6:47pm On Mar 03, 2021 |
So, some of my neighbours are MSc students writing exams. I see how they read day and night and I can’t help but feel pity for them. Why am I sharing this? Well, that’s because a sad but true thought came to my mind while watching them toil to scale their exams. Here’s the thought. There are so many students who have gone through or are still going through this process. Yet, they get done with school only to face the harsh reality of joblessness. I mean, how insane is it for you to burn the midnight candles, spend the night reading, and spend outrageous amounts of money on school fee and accommodation only to be hit by a blow of joblessness. It really is heart-breaking to see an MSc student become a taxi driver. I mean, I didn’t believe when I heard it but it is the sad truth of the society we live in. Now, here’s my advice for any unemployed person out there. Build yourself up in a skill. I really can’t emphasize how important this is. No one saw the lockdown coming. A lot of people lost their jobs but the digital skill space experienced an unusual rise in income. There are tons of skills out there that you can learn for free as a beginner. Don’t just sit at home pitying yourself and blaming the government for your finances. Face the reality. The government doesn’t care about you. Go out of your comfort. Nothing substantial comes out of your comfort. How much have you made from complaining and blaming everyone? Nothing. Things will remain the way they are until you make an intentional decision to try something new. Even if you’ve failed before, try again. This is not an emotional or motivational jargon. Dust yourself and try again. This might be your big break. Try new things, be open to new ideas. After losing money and getting into debt, I finally picked up affiliate marketing with an earning potential of 400k monthly and kept running with the skill. Yours does not have to be affiliate marketing. It can be other kinds of digital skill. My point is, start making decisions your future self will be thankful to you for now. If you need clarity on what to choose or you need someone to guide you, my email address is donatusbusayo@gmail.com I can’t drop my number here so just reach out to me through my email. This might just be the big break for you if you follow the words. |

I've been meaning to write this for a while but one thing or another prevents me but here I am, writing to you today. I feel a nudge to write this because I understand what it feels like to be broke to the last bit. I've been there before. Whether you're an undergraduate or a jobless graduate, I strongly implore you to read this to the end. You will find it really helpful. Some years back (like two years back), I used to burn my data looking for what to do with my time everyday to make money. I really didn't mind if it brought me #2,000 daily. Day and night, my browser history will be filled with things like "how to make money online", "best side hustles for a student". My God, I searched and searched. Now, before I proceed, I'd like to implore you not to do such. If you go on Google to find out how to make money online, you won't only burn your time and data, you'll fall victim of scams (I actually did and I'll probably talk about it later). I really didn't give up. I kept searching. I'd look at the situation of things at home and it refuels my zeal to "hustle". I remember the day I thought of helping people fetch water at a construction site (fine girl like me oo ). I really was determined to change my financial story. I came to nairaland one day and stumbled on a writing gig. I got almost 20k from the gigs (I wrote articles ehn, I almost collapsed ). I got paid #1.5 per word. I did it for like a month and stopped. I got introduced to copywriting, Facebook ad and email marketing but didn't thrive in any of them because I had a "shiny object syndrome" ( this simply means I jumped on the next shiny opportunity). If you're like this, you can't thrive. You'll keep hopping here and there without really building mastery in any skill. I eventually settled with a skill (affiliate marketing) with an earning potential of about 400k for beginners . I'm still building mastery in the skill. The point of my whole story is, however bad your financial situation is, pick a skill and run with it. Pick a skill and run with it ( preferably a digital skill). The world is moving digital and the economic situation of Nigeria requires that you stop depending on the government for whatever. Wake up and sacrifice the next six months of your life to learn a skill. If you think six months is too long, I'd like to remind you that whether you like it or not, the six months will come and you'd probably wish you had endured and used the six months well. Take care 2 Likes |
