The CBN's monetary policy leaves a lot to be desired. more politically motivated than economical.

Spending money to defend the value of the naira isn't a smart long term plan. The market should be allowed to determine the value of the currency and more importantly is the need to merge the parallel rates into one.

what is your own suggestion to end corruption, or should we just fold our hands and watch

was Nigeria a socialist state when you dashed buhari 200 naira to buy running tickets

I never did. don't don't what you're talking about. what I do know however is that, a citizen funded media organization in today's Nigeria is not practical. it is mere wishful thinking.

and if you consider the sparse, few and far between supporters who donated sums to the man's campaign as representative of the citizens collective will, I fear you may have fallen victim to political gimmicks.

nothing scares our politicians,

no accountability

because the media house are their puppet, the Piper dictates the tune, just like BBC shown a light on the Codeine trade,

we need a media house funded by the citizens, that is how to end corruption, no Messiah will do it for us.

I mean real journalism, where journalist become the shadow of politicians. stalk them, follow their finances, and movement and report back to you the citizens.

Nigeria is not a socialist state. wake up and smell the coffee beans.

Fear will be the constant companion of our politicians if we do this

the best way we can change things is if we cooperate together, but how can you get 200 million people to work together

Orwell's 1984 is instructive on the fact that proletariats who make up 80 percent of the population are forever disorganized and lack cohesion to make any meaningful change or control their destinies. Nigeria is no exception especially being a nation state divided along so many fault lines.

Politicians will always have them for easy pickings.

unhealthy rivalry has never helped in anyway, in English premier league, it doesn't matter who brings home the cup, but they would rejoice together.

from the little psychology I read, criminals like to show off, to win your respect, they think spending cash will earn them that respect, that's why you find them in clubs. they surround themselves with cheap women and they are never satisfied

I like to hang out in clubs, have fun, surround myself with women and never quite satisfied. but I'm no criminal. I work a legit 9 to 5 shift. how would you classify me?

I swear I don't know, but I will try to be creative when exporting, sell services instead of physical goods

what services can Africa sell to a larger audience that's for the most part unconcerned about Africa save her natural resources. Don't forget they wrote the textbooks on modern trade and economy. Have you seen Kofi Annan's son's paper presentation on the need to deepen continental trade between African countries because international trade policies and bias are heavily skewed against the continent?

How does a continent overcome deep rooted biases by simply selling services to people who for the most part don't require it?

A little while back I was watching an interview with one of the astronauts from the Space Shuttle and in this interview he was describing his experiences while he was orbiting the planet and he was saying how beautiful Earth looks from above and he said that, much to his surprise, when he was going over Europe, he found that he was having a hard time telling the countries apart from each other. He said, the reason for that was, that the lines in the maps are not in the ground, it makes a great point: these lines really don´t exist. They´re made up completely and we perpetuate in the illusion that somehow we´re all different from each other and I think the world would be a much better place if someday we stop pretending that these lines exist and we concentrate in our similarities rather than in our differences.’

Then what would you do with nationalism? The ul uniquie 'identification' of members of the human race. Humans would be like droids. Devoid of differences. Boring.

these people are not stupid. globalization is a failed project, that is why China and USA are locking horns everyday.

you must be a net exporter to survive in this global environment. export your culture or export religion, or even terror

see if was the chairwoman of even a local government, my major focus will be exporting to other LGA around us, export skills, movie, education.

that is what makes Lagos special, they export to other state, they world flock to Lagos, Lagos sells her excess to other state, creating jobs

every government wants to do the right thing by protecting her own first, America first abi?

when the UK came to Nigeria, they were exporting to Africa, exporting a religion

but one thing keeps me awake at night, when all countries are selling ( exporting), who will be the consuming nation.

that is why foreign interest will continue to keep Africa down

globalization unfortunately is the trend. There's no going against it because you can't exist outside of it. out of curiosity tho, what do you suggest to replace globalization?

Fear of death is ridiculous, because as long as you are not dead you are alive, and when you are dead there is nothing more to worry about!

I met malala yusufu the female education activist at the United Nations building and asked her how she cheated death,

she said
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji ‘ un.
Verily, from Allah we came and to him we return.

None of you should wish for death because of a calamity that has afflicted him, but if he must do something he should say: O Allah, keep me alive so long as life is good for me and cause me to die if death is better for me. (Source: Sahih Bukhari 5437, Grade: Sahih)

It matters not how a man dies, but how he lives. The act of dying is not of importance, it lasts so short a time. – Samuel Johnson
