In my previous post about “how to make your toilet smell nice”, I promised to show you how to make bad scent killer at home all by your self.

Here is how:
Ingredients are :
6 drops of peppermint essential oil
1 teaspoon of vegetable glycerine or dish soap
1 teaspoon of rubbing oil
1 1/2 of Oz distilled water
Oz Glass spray bottle

Place all ingredients in the spray bottle before the water, add the water and fill only to the neck of the bottle. Shake very well and apply two spritzes in the bowl of your toilet before sitting.

Place the bottle in a viewable area for all to access.

The bathroom is very hard to keep in a tip-top smelling condition. When it’s not smelling like (urine), it’s smelling like (faeces)… you know that’s not easy to bear, if we are going to be honest here!
This two are obvious, but poor ventilation can also lead to bad scent. This is not normally very obvious, but It can also cause mildew and mold to appear on your bathroom tiles and on towels and shower curtains as well.

Here are some tips to get out those bad smells.

1. Open windows and doors for ventilation

2. Touch up your toilet paper roll

3. Enhance the ventilation by turning on a standing fan in the bathroom.

4. Pour some vinegar in the toilet tank to refresh the water as it also melts some of the hard water stains.

5. Get or give a pleasant surprise when you or someone else flush the bowl bu pouring some sweet-smelling fabric softener in the toilet tank.

6. Light a scented candle when you go to do number two. It will help to combat the bad scent. Some people like me need two candles!

7. Buy and use a poo pourri spray or make a copy-cay one of your own.

8. Take out the trash and refresh the trash can as often as possible.

9. A little bleach can help out

10. Pour hydrogen peroxide or baking soda in the bathtub drain.

11. Pour hydrogen peroxide or baking soda in the sink drain.

12. Mount a scented sponge in the bathroom.

13. Add Pinesol to the toilet brush.

14. Refresh your face basin with Pinesol.

15. Place a sponge refresher in the trash can.

16. Use a rag in place of the sponge if that's what you have on hand.

17. Add some baking soda in the sponge or rag.

18. Burn an incense stick in the bathroom.

19. Scrub your bathtub with baking soda and grapefruit.

20. Make a scent killing solution with hydrogen peroxide and toothpaste.
