Vote this, vote that... Who cares!

All I want is for Esther, Tayo, Sheillah, Lillian, Luis, Nhlanlan, Macky2, JJ and Permithias to get as far as possible in order for us to have a good show this season. The rest are too docile and can f**k off!

Y'all want a good show or what? I don't like some of those listed above but they got game so why are we complaining about those who provide talking points rather than the supporting cast who are just eating and there to make up the numbers!

Music/RadioRe: Dancing: An Inborn Talent Or Skill? by lumeviewscom: 10:20am On Jan 09, 2014
With good coaching and regular practice, you can learn to dance... And dance very well even if you weren't born with the talent but just enjoy dancing.

Talent is only required if you intend to go into professional dance competitions and sports because it gives you that edge needed to shine.

Music/RadioRe: Why The Discrimination Against Dark-skinned Girls In The Music Industry? by lumeviewscom: 9:49am On Jan 09, 2014
@OP: There's no discrimination. They're only doing what appeals to majority of the public on TV.

You can't blame Wizkid or some superstar selecting whom he thinks will boost his video with beauty and grace. Music videos are very expensive to make these days and you can hardly base your decisions on sentiments. Moreover, we have dark-skinned female superstars [even better than being a video vixen] such as Tiwa Savage, Chidinma who many consider to be devastatingly beautiful. It's a matter of taste.

BabaGnoni: @lumeviews.com

Rant? rant? You call less than 5 sentences a rant? shocked shocked shocked

C'mon now lumeviews.com you can do better than that

Who mentioned fire bus stop? When or where was fire bus stop mentioned?

If you want to quote, better learn to quote correctly

Reiterating, hell is a bus stop, lake of fire is the terminus.

Liken or refer hell to a transit, transit to the lake of fire as it were.

Ah and by the way, so it is OK to let one bad apple(s) ruin the whole bunch then. No be so?

Theology has it's fair share of mystery

You're not alone. You aren't the first and wont be the last truly finding this baffling.

Are you coming across as aggressive? Nah
, mba, point the finger at impetuous emotion(s)

Mind you, it is God's privilege to conceal things and the king's privilege to discover them.
Haha... I can hardly fault your point(s) this time and I thank you for bringing clarity to the statement about hell, bus stop, terminus... But from your last sentence, it's fair to say that God did not really give us free-will if he intends to punish us for taking advantage of it despite his privilege to conceal things.

Also, about an apple spoiling the bunch, surely you wouldn't kill one of your kids because he could end up spoiling the rest, would you? Except I misinterpreted your statement.

As for hell and whatever it entails, I'm sorry but it doesn't appeal to reason. Why not just get it over with and kill the devil and stop tempting humans with crap and take back your free-will so we can all just be good people. Why do they have to involve us in their fight? We never asked to be a part of it. The whole premise of hell is not only unappealing, it is inconceivable. It is safe to say God was the first one who tempted man according to the bible. You disagree? Okay, what do you call this, I plant a tree right in front of you then I tell you not to eat out of it, then I tell you "look, you have the free-will to eat out of it if you want". Silently add "but if you eat the fruit, I will kill you". Yet, we understand God is omniscience and omnipotent so couldn't he see what was coming when he created lucifer and planted the tree? What sort of bullsh*t story is that? Just don't plant the goddamn tree! With this, is it fair to say the world is a product of God's mistakes? After all, HE created it according to the bible. Things just don't add up!

I know you will probably say we can't question God and stuff but hey, it's MY after-life those guys are joking around with so I will question whoever or whatever. Barring any plausible explanation on hell and stuff, I guess we just stop existing when we die. Much more simplistic until there's proof otherwise.
Christianity EtcRe: What Exactly Is The Devil's Role In Hell? by lumeviewscom(op): 7:47pm On Jan 07, 2014
cryptic99: You can't get logical responses from questions like these without taking care of a lot of premises - the existence of God, devil and hellfire and which religion is right about them.

If you're talking about the christian version then you're on a long thing because it's not made clear in the bible the role of the devil in hell so all you may get from people are conflicting views.
Not all religious people (theists) are stu.pid but most are ignorant. I am a Christian! But who is to say one religion is superior over the other?

Respect reciprocated

If the odds are stacked against the devil as glaring as it is, I [b]wouldn't wager on losing battle
(s)

Hell is a bus stop, lake of fire is the terminus lumeviews.com,

that is kindergarten theology for crying out loud angry angry angry huh huh huh

Brush up on your theology lumeviews.com
After your rant above, I want to point out that by "Losing Battle", I was referring to the ability of Christians to defend theories like this. Not some evangelical war of the heavens between good and evil. God and Devil.

Which brings us nicely into my next point. You speak about kindergaten theology but you believe there's a fire bus stop waiting to consume people. Ironic!

From a Christian's perspective, one would tend to think his Father in heaven will have even more compassion than the biological father on earth here. But still, such a caring Father in heaven will throw his beloveth children into a lake of fire as punishment. Can your real father on earth throw you in a pit of fire over the worst thing you have ever done in your life? I truly find this baffling and do not mean to come across as aggressive.
Christianity EtcRe: What Exactly Is The Devil's Role In Hell? by lumeviewscom(op): 7:24pm On Jan 07, 2014
unmask: yea good question....the devil won't actually be in hell, he should be on earth....cos his role is to lead as many as he can to hell
Why is it that when a kid asks "what happens when we die?" Many would talk about heaven/hell so that the kids are scared into being good?

Isn't it just easier to tell them, "look, when you die, it's game over"!
Christianity EtcRe: What Exactly Is The Devil's Role In Hell? by lumeviewscom(op): 6:56pm On Jan 07, 2014
BabaGnoni: @lumeviews.com

Neither to both

The devil will be just be a chained up temporary resident until when along with death and hell itself are ALL transferred and cast forever and for good into the lake of fire
With due respect, I find this explanation unconvincing. The devil is chained where? Temporary resident where? I do not mean to sound ignorant but a critical look at religion never hurts if Christians can defend certain doctrines or theories if you wish. A losing battle?

ITbomb: My fantasy of honeymoon js more of outdoor, natural setting experience not the hotel room, shopping and movie stuff.
I will prefer Obudu or Tinapa, where we can stroll on the grasses, play, watch the sunset/stars and maybe some water side fun.
Exactly... The idea is to chill, be laid-back and connect with each other deeply.
kada plaza and entertainment 2 mins game for N500. its fun though.
linx club! u need to see for urself. Uyi Grand also kul
And you have just mentioned everything Benin has to offer. Hotels, 3 major night clubs and fast food joints. What else? Ogba zoo?

The truth is Benin is quite dry and I cannot recommend it as a honeymoon destination. Who wants to spend his honeymoon in the night club or Kada plaza? C'mon man, there are far better ways to kick it on your honeymoon.

Even Warri has better activities than Benin and I still wouldn't recommend it.

specialguest: who would have thought that Edo state can serve as a honeymoon destination. Thanks for the info, we might as well "pass by" on our 50th wedding anniversary.
Until the hungry police men in that state ruin your honeymoon for you. If your fiance is young and fresh, you better not go there. The cops there harass young, fresh guys with the assumption that they are all yahoo boys.

And yes, you have nothing to fear so long as your hands are clean but they will waste a young brother's time and go through your phones (text messages, photos, social media profiles). If you have a laptop with you, more time wasting... I had a torrid time visiting Benin.

SportsMan Utd's Shinji Kagawa & Hiroshi Kiyotake Vs 55 Japanese Kids In Kyokugen 2013! by lumeviewscom(op): 2:50pm On Jan 03, 2014

[DOWNLOAD VIDEO] SHINJI KAGAWA AND HIROSHI KIYOTAKE vs 55 JAPANESE KIDS

Manchester United’s Shinji Kagawa and Nurnberg’s Hiroshi Kiyotake teamed up on a local Japanese TV game show against 55 kids in Kyokugen 2013.

Kyokugen originates from Japan and simply translates into "extreme utmost limit". In the Art of Fighting series, Kyokugen Karate is described as a deadly martial art that can only be taught with a mind that focuses on self-defense.

The game begins with Kagawa and Kiyotake successfully taking on 33 kids and scoring. The first set of kids were split into 3 goalkeepers and 30 outfield players.

After scoring, a further 22 kids were added to the initial 33 already on the pitch bringing the total number of opponents facing the professional football pair to 55. This batch was split into 5 goalkeepers and 50 outfield players. Guess what happened?

This video has received over a thousand likes on youtube but close to FIVE HUNDRED “thumbs down”. The most common complaint is that they should have let the kids win. Who cares! The video clip is comedic and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I reckon Kagawa and Kiyotake would have been required to perform a Seppuku or Harakiri on the football pitch if they dared to lose.

“Seppuku (切腹?, “stomach-cutting”) is a form of Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment. Seppuku was originally reserved only for samurai. Part of the samurai bushido honour code, seppuku was either used voluntarily by samurai to die with honour rather than fall into the hands of their enemies (and likely suffer torture), or as a form of capital punishment for samurai who had committed serious offenses, or performed for other reasons that had brought shame to them. The ceremonial disembowelment, which is usually part of a more elaborate ritual and performed in front of spectators, consists of plunging a short blade, traditionally a tantō, into the abdomen and moving the blade from left to right in a slicing motion.”
