Mark my words.
When power changes hands, this same Madueke will be given a hero's welcome back to Nigeria. She ll den be crowned with various cheiftancy titles and the reigning government will "conpensate" her for all her troubles.
Ex-Delta govwrnor- case in point.
I beleive we have a bigger problem in ethnic bigotry than in religious bigotry
On point!

I'm trying to figure out what he's a pastor for, is it to encourage people to marry or to lead souls to Christ? Very soon our pastors will start telling us "To get to heaven you must be married" - misplaced priority

Let's assume he ain't doing for us, what's the essence of opposition in politics? you think this government will be in their toes without people like Fayose speaking for the voiceless masess? the amount of our money wasted on Buhari alone is close to solving ASUU problem oo
Oga! When talking about the voice of opposition, never consider Fayose, he's my governor and I know the pranks he plays. His voice is just to distract pple from his shortcomings and focus on the FG. Opposition sauced with hatred and death-wish. In short, Fayose is lucky for having the likes of you as sympathizers-which is one of his game plans

I read the comments people make and I wonder why we are like this, a nation riddled with tribal sentiments and bias. We celebrate irrelevant issues in the face of our long standing decay and rot since 1960. As far as the person in power is from my region, he can do whatever he wants. This is why we are were we are today.
A nation with blinded, tribalistic and nepotic followers. God!!!
Echo!!!

So you think Fayose is making all that noise for you and I? I pity you, Fayose knows what he's doing, just wait and see

Politics › Re: Constitution Review: Why Presidential Assent Unnecessary - Saraki by Lumig: 1:10pm On Aug 04, 2017
Reference:
Well see it this way. The President like every individual has a view and a bias that may or not be favourable to certain aspects like you and I. A wider representation makes it possible to water down that bias.

Secondly legislators are closer to the people and see them more frequently. When last did the man in Akwa Ibom or Sokoto see Mr. President after the campaign. Even at the best of times (OBJ and IBB being the best travellers the past 40 years) the needs of the people are dynamic and certainly a lot of things have changed since 2015.

Lastly, accountability. The President is less accountable to the people than their reps. In fact, in developed economies/democracies the reps often take the fire locally for the policies of the central government especially where both are of the same political party and that is why they often battle the executive in session because they want to be seen at least to resist unpopular policies. It is only fair they be given a wide latitude to decide certain aspdcts of governance.

Remember democracy is all about representation. I know this is relatively new in Nigeria and years of dictatorship has eaten away at our ability to collectively decide stuff without the favour and pleasure of a 'strongman' but this is the only way to develop.
Oga! You have a good point, but we can't try it with this set of selfish "legislooters ", otherwise Nigeria will be sold on the blackmarket.

If I may ask, sir. These corrupt politicians in government don't give a damn about you but their personal interests.

Nigeria government leaders are making money in Nigeria, investing Nigeria's taxpayers money in abroad's economies.
Yeah! We're saying the same thing. Don't let us use party politics to confuse and divide ourselves as electorates /populace, instead let's come out as ONE against the political class either APC or PDP. Cos we are weakening our voices when we start pointing accusing fingers at a certain party.

AntiWailer:
Lol.

Why will you separate NFIU from EFCC ?

NIGERIA FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE UNIT is the unit bank report suspicious transactions to based on rules and guidelines.

Separating it from EFCC will make it easy for Saraki and his thieves to compromise them even when they get such information.

They are preparing for 2019 and crazy money is about to move.

The kind of money Fayose and Obanikoro moved to Ekiti that made him become an activist and fan of the 'greater than awolowo' 1mbeciles.

They should not hide under the suspension. It makes absolute sense if National Financial Intelligence Unit is under Economic and Financial Crime Commission as a broad umbrella.

What a responsible senate will do is to help with the challenges the body is having with them.
Gbam!!! In fact you make my day with this comment, I don't know we still have youth that are not driven by hatred and subjectivity. OUR LEGISLOOTERS ARE TRYING TO PREPARE A THORNLESS BED FOR THEMSELVES, THAT IS Y THEY FIGHT NAIL AND TOOTH TO REMOVE MAGU /MAKE EFCC IMPOTENT. GOD BLESS YOU
