Just an advice for those coming from other schools that are to write the entrance exam, tryna visit your dept ,get the past questions and practise it.. The exam isn't as easy as normal undergraduate entrance exam,it's basically 300l and 400l syllabus... The admission into pg school is mostly based on merit and the cutoff marks are determined by each dept, this depends on the number of people the dept wanna admit(cutoff is basically above 50% for normal candidates). Your class doesn't matter(for those writting exam) some 2'2 will be admitted, whereas 1st class will miss out(it happened last year).. And for those havin issues wit referees, it's beta you correct it ASAP at pg school, the secretary is a nice and accommodative person, all your problems will be rectified there.. Referee is very important,it doesn't matter what your scores is,if you don't have atleast 2 referees, no admission.. For those without nysc cert, if you're a unilorin product, you can apply, lotta people were admitted last year without the cert, just upload and summit your id card.. I was at pg school last week, and it's pasted there that supporting documents are to be submitted. These include, nysc cert, degree cert, o.level cert, application form and receipt. All documents are to be enclosed in brown envelop.. Nat sure if it's compulsory, you can confirm it yourself.. If you need past question for entrance exam into chm dept, you can pm me,i guess i still av it wt me here.. Wish you peepz all the best...

Thanx for the information. Please will it still be timely if i meet the Secretary on d 7th of July on d referee issue...as i am currently on transcript application with my school..I already sent a mail on same issue to the dean of PG school and the d help desk. what do u think bro?

my friend also made dt mistake.. he assumed dey weren't gonna b contacted and just wrote deir names as deir emails.. fortunately for him he registered very early. . so when he went to the school to submit his form he was informed dt dey wld b contacted. . so he wrote a letter at d pg school explaining he made a mistake.. dey re opened his portal for him to make d corrections. . now I dunno if dey cld still do dt seein as reg closes today..

Thanx dearie....Since the submission of supporting documents ends 31st July...don't you think i stand a chance after the test on the 18th to do the needful...I will still go ahead go get process my transcript...Or what do u suggest?

One of my referee's email is correct..D second one has opened d email i filled in..was lucky its still available.. Just d last person now...it's just d last person... She tried opening d one i filled in but it was unavailable.... Is it compulsory three of the referees assess? and as anyone's referee gotten assessment forms already??

DECEITFUL TRAITOR TRYING TO CONVINCE ME.

You were fired because from your previous writeups I presume your former employing caught you and your former colleges shopping on his to retrieve secret business information from him.

Child, I have nothing against you or your wanting to start your own business. My problem with you was and is still the manner you called out your former employer and blasted him and his business. It was uncalled for. This is a public forum and the damage you have caused than man and his business can never be reversed. I know he probably has lots of flaws but for crying out loud, a public medium was the wrongest place to vent your annoyance. The man braced up and changed his business name because of the damage you caused and you still went after him.

Put yourself in his position. How will you feel if an employee of yours does same to you.

Don't let anyway deceive you, if this issue gets more serious (legal and physical) all these your rented supporters will all disown you. Then you will realize you won't even have an ant to stand as a witness for you.
Here we are again...do you ever learn?
Answering you as nw become convincing?
enjoy whatever activity that goes on up there...for me, my mission has been long achieved..If i choose to answer questions here, it's purely on the fact that i owe some curious fellas who just stumbled on this thread some explanations..of course if asked...

First of all, I did not address you.

Secondly, if you have any problem with my initial post, be bold enough to quote it instead of hyperventilating and making ridiculous assumptions.

Thirdly, can you kindly point out where I (cursed) or insulted anyone?

Fourthly, can you expound on why you feel that my questions were condescending?

Fifthly, it is obvious that you did not comprehend my submission if you are insinuating that I ever suggested that scammers and fraudsters should not be exposed.

Additionally, why do I have a feeling that you are the same person as the OP?

Lastly, what evidence based fact (s) do you have that the accused Employer is fraudulent?

Your post exemplifies the reasons why some Nigerian youths are under achievers and find themselves in perpetual joblessness and poverty.

You engage in Ad Hominem attacks instead of identifying your weaknesses.

You blame everyone else for your failure (s) in life instead of addressing your shortcomings

I respect you opinions nt because they are entirely true....but because they are yours...u are responsible for how u process information.

If u choose to be sentimental or not is no business of mine...but just one advise bro...Learn to think others can think too..hence Let everyman be with his own opinion...

I have chosen not to counter your opinions cos even in every foolishness there is wisdom..MAN UP bruv.

Its obvious their partnership can't last up to a year. They all partnered on a bitter and revengeful ground have truerebel as the common enemy.

TRUTH IS: If you are ever thinking of building a business to handle to your next generation, employ INDIANS, LEBANESE, AND FILIPINOS to oversee the Magerial position. Only from them will you get LOYALTY, HARDWORK, AND SATISFACTION.

Ask Dangote, Adenuga, and others to tell you more.

(most) Nigerians are always too greedy and impatient to get richer than their employer thinking they have known all his business secrets.

Yes one of my partner was with me in Truerebel.....To clear the air on my business, as a young recruit in true rebel i was privileged to have a one on one discuss with the boss as we fondly called him...He would bare me witness that since day one i had told him i had business ideas that towed towards fashion....He mentioned that i shud tell noone that d idea was now his...he told me we would implement the idea in d next 4 months and he will make me head that dept....After four month, i was sacked, company was in no way close to implementing the idea...And here i am with a partner and a foreign investor bringing to pass my ideas plus experience....
How is this a fault of mine people?

I did not jump any fact. That he bought for 100 and decide to sell for 1000 is his business.

Dangote decided to sell cement for 1000 after we have bought hundreds of bags for 1700 this same year. That does not mean that if he sell for 500 a bag, he wont still make his money.

Back to the business, if he buys for 100 after several research and discover that it is worth 1000 in the Nigeria market, he can sell for that amount.

As for wrist watch of 5,500.00 lets put the arguement in perspective, was it a swatch wrist watch and i discover that it is a fake swatch ? Definetely "NO". Some random name in the market, i buy for 2000 and i am expecting it to last. ?

As an undergraduate, i av bought several wrist watch on the road side, the sharp guy starts by calling 7k , i bargain and buy for 1500. It fades after months and i move on. Now i dnt expect my Invicta and my casio edifice or swatch to act same way.

Face the problem of staff treatment with your previous employer and leave the business alone.

This attack on his person and his business based on priviledged information is grossly immature.

You were even bragging dt you will teach some one what you have learnt if they send you a mail, that corroborate your employer's point that you are proud and feels like the boss.

I didn't reply earlier cos i felt you just corroborated my argument...nevertheless read through and maybe write something clearer to validate ur point

Sincerely, having read through your posts, especially your emphasis on China source of truerebel's jewels, i feel obliged to believe that this is a case of wrecking a competitor in other to advance my own course.
Why write this now that you and other young fellows are about to launch your own e-commerce web page?

Luving hubby, i appreciate ur sincere observation. However, if you take out time to check the thread from first page, it was primarily targeted at graduates who are enslaved becos they have to work...If at various point in the thread i had to switch to the product, it would have been caused by the fact that the business owner never saw nothing wrong abt the items and most times often times blames employees for poor performance thus the incessant sacks he alleges implies 'wrong staffs'.... Forgetting that you cannot market a bad product for two long.

Incase i neef to further break this down, be kind to let me know..

It does not make any sense.

Answer my queries on this thread.

That way, everyone can gain from our exchange.

If u have followed the thread you will notice am not the kind of guy that trades words. If you ask for prove and i oblige your request by asking to send to your mail my CV...what private discussion is that?

Am a man of precision, if you have better comments than the egocentric questions you asked earlier, bring them forward. I did be glad to tell you what i know.

Am not Perfect, I have learnt one or two things from the discuss but am also sure the Mission which was to get Truerebel to repent from its evil ways has been well achieved...If you ask me...Changing from Truerebel to Fashionhands is a clear show of guilt and repentance....All I can say is that Besides the name change, there should be a corresponding change in pattern.

This thread highlights the reasons why a lot of Nigerian youths struggle to make it in life

I have read the posts of both the accused employer and the disgruntled employee (s) and I have come to one conclusion- It is a huge task to be an entrepreneur in Nigeria.

Not only do you face a challenging business environment but you also have to deal with stubborn under achievers who have an inordinate sense of entitlement.

The OP has been making noise on Nairaland and it is quite pathetic that the site has given him/her to platform to discredit the business that has placed adverts on Nairaland without conducting an internal investigation before putting it on the FP. Shambolic behavior from NL

The owner of this site is an entrepreneur and he obviously knows that it is impossible to satisfy all employees and users all the time. People will complain about anything and everything immediately they feel they are not getting their way. What the admin of this site usually does is to hide posts and threads that castigate his handling of the site.

It is very interesting that he has given people the opportunity to do the same about other businesses without any consultation or deliberations on the the surrounding and exact facts. This is all to attract viewership and promote his own business. That might work for him now but in the long term, it will cost him business and patronage.

If I was a business owner, this thread will tell me that it is not advisable to put up an advert on a site that has major reporting and communication issues.

Anybody can make claims but it is only reasonable to determine the credibility of the accusations before negatively publicizing it.

@ OP

What businesses have you started in your life?

Do you any experience in managing a business?

Do you have any people management skills?

Do you have any training or experience in organisational confidentiality?

Instead of engaging in pointless revenge, why don't you channel your energy to improve your own life?

With due respect sir send me your mail...my CV will ansa ur questions?

The question is what is the fraud ? Because you sweat profusely, you want to buy golden wrist watch for 3k or a set of silver and gold set of ring for 2800. Lets be reasonable abeg.

The rebel guy should go and sort out his human resources issues. As for all the supposed beans spilled by ex staff. What do you expect them to say about a company that 'treated them badly'

Now here is a fact u jumped....if you bought an item from Alibaba $0.89 which of course is not upto a dollar (N165) and you sell N1000...

If you sold same items for N500 cos u knw they are fake...would u af been accused of profiteering or say selling fake items?

Please Alibaba is not in heaven....A china supplier will always ask what u want original or mass produced?

Dammy hw will you feel if u bought a wristwatch for 5,500 and it never lasted a month? but if u bought same wristwatch for say 2,000 how will you have felt yet again if it faded in a month....

expecting ur reply pls.

Who ever put this thread to the front page is so silly and immature. I know Obiniscopy won't do such crazy thing.

Why just hearing from a bunch of LAZY employees and even after truerebel explained his own side of the story this nonsense was still done. I can see aggrieved employees are bent on bringing this man's business down.

Truerebel, if you had an employment letter and contract signed by your previous employees especially the TRAITOR and GREEDY FELLOW called lummyguy you can bring them all to their knees either by paying heavy fines or sending them behind bars for damages. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED LET ME KNOW. Judgement on them will be passed within a month.

Lummyguy, was so quick to steal his boss's idea only to want to sell it to the highest bidder on nairaland and even went as far as setting up a similar business. Shame on you @lummyguy.

As far as none of truerebel's clients can come out and testify he sold them fake goods, you his employees are playing with litigation (if he wants to make case with you guys).

I am NOT supporting truerebel in anyway, but the manner this was put on front page is ABSOLUTELY WRONG. When the likes of Inspiredm were found guilty of taking millions from customers without delivering their vehicles to them, seun and his moderators tried to kick the cases under the carpet and even deleted the thread.

SO MUCH INJUSTICE ON NAIRALAND.

I did save valuable time than trade words with you.

I never wrote anyone to be placed on frontpage should u care to know

From your depositions one thing is clear! You find it difficult to understand all the English we have been speaking.

I think Seun should do a pidgin version of nairaland for mentally challenged folks like you...Jes saying though.

Not true. You will never understand till you start your own business. He might have some pride issues but with time he would learn. I wanted to accuse True rebel (and I know he has his issues) but I had to realise that employees just want to be paid without adding value to the organisation and what is the nonsense of earning N9,000 and bringing N300,000 into the company. Why should employees sit down and start to evaluate another persons problems. Do they have any clue of the overheads that is incurred? It is a new business and all that business needs is cash else it goes bankrupt.

For truerebel, if it is true that you sell sub-standard products, you will run out of business because customers will not longer trust you. Honestly, even if you are so nice I will have doubts buying your product based on the write up here. So you need to revamp your entire inventories, change your suppliers and gain the trust and confidence of your customer. You cannot blame the climate conditions of the country for the quality of your product. Also, try to pay your staff too. I understand some are lazy, wicked, never reliant and just want to play around and get paid. Draw up a contract agreement for them, also get their buy-in and execute. Remember they are humans with emotions too, since it is a start-up don't be too bossy. Be nice but firm.

Muyiwa!!!!

Busted again in your very act of dubiousness...Why in heaven sake would you pose as BOSS13 to justify atrocities you committed?

I will like to say that both the boss and the former employees are sounding so sanctimonious.
No one is perfect.
Both polars are quite justified in their accounts and I can imagine what judges go through when they have to judge.
God will even so try on the judgement day.

True rebel in my very opinion owe these guys an apology for being an experimental employee.
Employees have expectations, whether spelt or not but I believe you will grow. Part of growing is understanding that friends are better than enemies in business.
I have worked with start ups all my life and I can relate with true rebel.
You also really write well I must confess again.

At the disgruntled staffs.
You guys (as a law) shouldn't bad mouth former employees.
However this was done in good faith and it is left to others to now decide whether to work with him or not.
They have been informed that it is a start up which is still trying to hold her ground and thus an exchange of value is key.
Efficiency and being result oriented will put you on the "white books" of the management.

I wish true rebel well and I wish the former employees all the best in their future endeavor.
True rebel should mend the challenges and make them better.

With all sincerity of purpose all have shared i did after struggling alot with my inner self about the moral justification. Then i felt just maybe if Mr. Folorunsho knws the truth abt himself he will position better and channel his intelligence with reasonings. Have watched alot go wrong and bootlickers too loyal to spill d bean. In actual sense,my mission has been accomplished. Am sure his 'right people' and upcoming staffs will understand why someone had to do this sooner or later.

On my final appearance here i did like to thank everyone whoever took out time to view this page. I will like to state emphatically too that I AM NOT DISGRUNTLED with True rebel, contrary to this, have been one of the few that benefitted from True rebel as a worker within 2 month i was given the huge task of managing the store; as a former employee, am glad to inform that am now practising everything Mr. Folorunsho taught me ignorantly...Am presently working with youngsters like me and we have built our site and will be launching our own ecommerce business sooner than can be imagined.

All in all...It's being a pleasure....True rebel i wish you the best but change your ways...the law of power says use people to achieve results but never asked to use them as trash....

True business men don't experiment they execute a well researched and confirmed business model.

PEACE!

As expected...eloquence and dexterity in speech and writing. However. address the issues and stop throwing tissues.

PRODUCTS
1) Did we as staffs not complain to you about the quality of the imported items?

2) Did you not lie to us severally that you will import from the U.S only to discover that China was still in the picture?

3) Have I not being given instructions to cut of China Labels to deceive people?

4) Need i remind you how wickedly you and your partner laughed the last time i complained about a client that was almost close to tears when she received her 27,000 worth of jewelry items?

5)Bracelets you bought from China sells $0.89 which is not even up to N165....Did you not sell them for N1000 despite our suggestions that the price should be reduced?

STAFFS
1) Do you or do you not pay your staffs 1 month salary after working for two months to meet your ever unreasonable Targets

2) How many times have you fired a staff due to your Anger issues and later call them begging they should come back?

3) When will your different business experiments without due consultation of people's feelings ever end?

4) If you had hired the wrong people and fired them, how come you beg this wrong people on phone to come back?

5) Will it not be an act of incompetence on your part if you have to Hire close to 30 staffs at intervals and they are all wrong people.

6) Did you not at many times lament about your over ambitious nature and how so many times it makes you put too much pressure on yourself than you can handle?

7) Have you not hired people make them work for you for 3 weeks and refused to pay them a dime not even Transport fare back home?

cool Did you not have your latest recruits get paid as little as N9,000 after making close to N300,000 for you in a month?

9) Is it not true that while 30 percent of your former staffs were sacked while 70 percent left voluntarily?

10) The 'right staffs' were they not formally sent off and later pardoned?

Finally, with due respect i have learnt a lot from you as a person and your business as an entity which i will forever be grateful for.

1) Never involve your emotions in business both will destroy the other.

2) Better to work in a joint company than a one man's business

3) Best to be yourself, be formal, and never be the boss' bootlicker cos one day he will always get better bootlickers then you become an enemy. So glad i never was your source of information.
