Chigold101:
if this post is from Sanusi then it is a very old post. Because there is no ANPP nor AD in our political terain. Another thing i noticed is that he mentioned OBJ & IBB, these two men are not really in the front bunner of our today‘s politics.
Conclusion this post might be from Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (before or when he was in CBN) but it is not from Sanusi Lamido Sunusi the Emir of Kano neither is it from the Emir‘s palace.
Guy the issue here is that this statement came from the Emir himself, whether today or a decade ago, last year, or whenever. This statement was made by the man who is now an Emir and the point should be noted

Now that the odds in this article is against the APC, you guys are asking for links and sources.

But if it was against the PDP, Ogbeni I tell you everyone will just throw more insults @ them without asking for any confirmation, links or sources.

Amazing!

If i am to hazard a guess as to which part of Nigeria this OP is from.......from his name it would seem he is from the East yet he and thousands like him are facing imminent danger

But what we have on NL is the amalgamation of insensitive SEners( not all of them though) always mouthing off and deriding the BHaram issue as Northerners problem alone instead of them digging deep and calling forth their humanity to wit that all Nigerians of good conscience should be concerned for what is happening to our bothers and sisters in the North( not from the North) because even millions of Igbos,Yorubas and Hausas are there at the moment which make this issue a Nigerian problem and not Northerners problem alone
Guy the S'west peeps are also guilty as charge

That's the confusion a shoeless man who we out of pity made to govern us.

I just hope the electorates have learned. We should not trust a man who is careless enough to lose shoes his parents bought for him from their hard earned money. If he is so careless enough to lose his shoes and ending up walking to school on bare foot to embarrass his parents, he can't be fit to rule.

A careless man should not be made president again in this nation.

I dont think so. the US govt re not as foolish as d nigeria govt, n by d way fed govt wanted to purchase d weapons thru illegal means. rm South Africa, so wat stop den now since dey re going thru d front door. also knowing so well dat America will not allow Russia to sell weapons due to some sanctions dey ve imposed on Russia.

Adminisher:
This is the most unserious govt in the history of Nigeria. They wasted 6 months begging the US for arms, another 6 months sponsoring articles in newspapers lambasting the US for not selling arms now we are on the 6months of telling us they are 'going to' buy from Russia. There is a subsisting order for helicopters and maybe tanks, so which one is this new one. All this is just posturing to award procurement contracts to the Aurthur Ezehs, cronies of IBB and share the money between Senators and PDP top shots. THIEVES profitting from blood money.
If you are good at negotiating why don't you travel to the U.S and make the deal work, because complaining and howling insults won't solve a damn thing, sorry.

This insurgency is more political than ideological. Have you wondered why the spate of attacks has increased since Jonathan's declaration of interest in the 2015 race? There is an uncanning and persistent attempt to discredit his leadership. Unfortunately the old foool is too dull and stupppid to sanitize the nation's security apparatus. His level of corruption is unprecedented. This guy Jonathan is not pretending, he is not scheming anything, he has no hidden solution or strategy with regards to our current problems in Nigeria. What he has done in the last four years is exactly what he will reproduce in a lifetime. The guy is downright clueless! How can you sensibly explain this recurrent embarassment of our gallant military personel. You want to blame that on the opposition? You want to blame the low morale of our military and their old fashioned ammunition on the opposition? You think the opposition is responsible for our porous borders? You honestly believe the huge sums veted on security gets stolen by the opposition? Granted: terrorism is often difficult to quash, but no country has suffered such monumental embarassment of its military in open battle by riff raffs like boko haram. When Yar adua was president, boko haram felt the full weight of a well motivated nigerian army. They were defeated in one decisive swing in the week of 17th january 2009. It will be 2 years of silence before they rear their head again. If the tempo was maintained, boko haram would have been history. I know interests differ and some peeps would dump their votes for him again, they must however realise that even their fathers at home could better Nigeria's cause more than this clueless drunkard
Guy insults will take you no-where, if only we were good to another, this kinda shit won't be happening in the first place

PoliticsRe: Why Did Buhari Sentence Fela Kuti To 10 Years In Prison? by Lurcky(m): 7:28am On Nov 11, 2014
barcanista:
When General Muhammadu Buhari came to power, there was wide corruption in the Second Republic. A decree was passed that nobody take out or bring in foreign currency into the country. Offenders are liable to 10years in Jail. This decree was to curb money laundering by politicians and corrupt businessmen.

FELA KUTI
Fela had performed abroad, he was paid in foreign currency in cash and had it on him on his return to Lagos. He was subsequently arrested for breaking the law and was prosecuted, found guilty and jailed.

PLEA:
There was a plea by human right groups to Head of State Buhari to "pardon" Fela, he refused because he believe that the law be served to the letter.

THE OFFENSE, GMB AND FELA:
First, there was an existing law/decree.

Secondly, Fela bringing in cash means it contradicts the law/decree, however, the money is from hard work.
Morally, he's justified! Legally, he is not.

Buhari had refused to grant pardon, because the law was broken. If he grants pardon, some section of politicians will accuse him of preferential treatment. He didn't because he believes in absolute discipline.
By law, he is justified. Morally, he is not, considering that it was Fela's sweat(my opinion). The law does not work with emotion unfortunately.
Buhari had always wanted to arrest Fela because he knew that Fela was against military government and if Fela was allowed he would have sang against Buhari's govt which Buhari didn't want. So when Fela came back He saw the perfect opportunity and used it to arrest him.

FASHOLA, BEST GOVERNOR EVER RULETH IN HIS GENERATION
Now I know that indeed some people have intellectual myopia. We are working towards building a strong Future and a strong Nigeria together, what gets to your governors head is to deport Nigerians who are non-lagosians, is lagos for his fathers or mothers land ? What has he done as governor to eradicate poverty amongst his people (go to idimu). Instead of thinking of ways create a peaceful co-existence and make Lagos a true mega-city like he promised, so his name be exonerated he is busy trying to tribal war just as Awolwo did.
