Dude, it reeks of 419. I for one do not reply to vacancies that require you to reply to a free email account (eg: gmail, yahoo, hotmail, msn, etc). Another thing is their use of English, its pathetic and i would not even encourage you to work for an organisation that would allow such an error to be published or broadcast. And the most shocking thing about this is the fact that they are asking you to pay 3,500 into an account that is not registered in the company's name. They also did not ask you to bring along proof of payment, pray tell, how will they know you have paid? The Head of Human Resources can not also be the Head of Finance, these are 2 job functions and the accountants & HR people in the house will testify to that. Thats my 2 cents ,

Hi peeps, there really isnt a dress code, I went there dressed in smart casual, thats like a shirt (i folded my sleeves because i couldnt be bothered) and trousers with comfortable shoes (not sneakers o!). They are not going to assess you based on how well you're dressed but when they call you for an interview for a specific position in the future, i advise you dress to kill grin

Regarding the calculator, i didnt go with one because i think i forgot to bring one but i cant seem to remember if its allowed or not. But just to be on the safe side, you can take calculators, worst case scenario, they'll ask you to put them away.

Quoting 120k a month isnt asking too much because at this stage, they just want an idea of the lowest you're willing to go. I asked for 150k, i was offered double that figure in the end by their client. If you take a look at their clients, 120k is actually pocket money to them but i think you should give an aura of being more interested in the job than the money but it doesnt mean you should quote peanuts o!

I sympathise with you but may i suggest you contact LNG themselves to let them know whats going on? They could schedule you for another interview by sending you another letter because they will definitely have on record that you've been invited and a letter dispatched. Also, like my fellow nairalanders have adviced, go to Fedex' headoffice to lodge a complaint, and i dont mean letting it stop there. Demand that something be done about it. I respect the fact that you're trying to help nairalanders and one good turn, they say, deserves another

First off, i found it a little difficult to read your post becuase of typos & bad English structure. There's a post on nairaland in the job forum describing how graduates should try to sell themselves to employers. Communicating in bad English wont land you anywhere. You could easily have used Microsoft word to edit this post before posting. I'm not saying i'm perfect myself and i stand to be corrected.

Another thing is the information you're trying to pass across, i agree with you that there are wack recruitment agencies out there but i can personally vouch for people prime/temp (i got my job through them but only paid 500 naira which they described to me helped them in a way), Human Edge is another good one, Kimberly Ryan & lets not forget, the mighty Kpmg.

Keep up the good job though wink

The test isn't difficult, i scored roughly 75% without using a calculator. There's also enough time at your disposal to finish the questions which are a mixture of English, Math & logical questions. The first interview (which is actually a chat to determine the kind of job you're looking for, how much you're willing to earn, your career goals, etc. The session is also for the verification of your credentials, just to make sure you have the original documents of all the details on your CV. They have impressive clients so i suggest you go for the jugular without being too greedy grin
