If Konami's thinking of releasing for the 360, its solely for profit purposes but the truth of the matter is, i doubt if its possible. It takes years to develop MGS and full concentration for the PS3. You only need to watch the making of Sons of liberty included in the MGS2 game and you'll know that developing MGS for multiple platforms is suicidal. ISS on the other hand isnt as difficult to develop so i guess it can be done. |
, so you put all your love into a relationship and years down the line, its all over! What, you may ask, happened? Well, i'm not going into the specifics but the scenario is, none of us did anything wrong. In fact, we love each to bits, no fights, no arguments, just a relationship dreams are made of, not until family interference reared its ugly head. Bottom line, it sucks, i blame everyone and no one! Might not make sense but thats the way i feel. Thinking about it hurts, trying to move on hurts, the best part of the day is sleeping but even that is ruined with dreams of what i had. There are guys out there who would say, dude, move on, you're not the only one it has happened to. Others would say, so why're you acting like a cry baby! Far from it, i dont need sympathy, probably just an outlet for voicing my feelings. There're also girls out there who have been through similar experiences and know what it feels like. The thing is we're all alike, male or female, and therefore will react to love the same way. Lets just say, trying to start afresh is scary, you start asking yourself, what if the same thing happens? Where will i find someone like him/her? How do i start dating again? Why does love , hurt a lot? |
For some, not having dated at 20 is a crime, for others, its normal, but for Gamine, i think like you said, you just need reassurance its normal. For every girl out there, theres a guy, so its kinda like searching for a needle in a haystack but its not as difficult as it sounds. If you've got girlfriends that like you to a fault, then you'll definitely find a guy to do the same. The thing that bugs me is the countless "douche bags" who'll want to take advantage If its any consolation, there're guys out there who're going through the same thing you're talking about. Now, if you dudes dont mind, i'd like to go drown my sorrows, , nobody knows the trouble i see, nobody knows my sorrow, |
Guys, guys, cant we all remember when the ps2 came out? Didnt it cost an arm then? Didnt we queue up to get one? The honest truth is for $800, the ps3 is worth it, given the equipment you're getting. Fine, its a bit pricey for a games console but we all know next gen appliances dont come cheap. Has it occurred to any of you guys that Sony's giving you a console thats years ahead of its time? If you've got a pc for playing high end games then you'll know what i'm talking about. You have to upgrade your pcs occassionally just to get the best from the latest games. Lets break it down: Blue ray: Blue rays come in 25gb or 50gb versions. Do i need to explain the level of detail that will crammed into this or is it the length of the game? We all grumbled when we finshed Devil may cry in a day, how about playing it for a couple of months and not getting half way? Oblivion on the ps3 is getting a whole new guild and its been polished for the ps3. Buying a blue ray player starts from $1000, and the ps3 plays blue rays right out of the box, do the math! Hard drives: Similar to the 360 but it can be extended through add ons. Imagine 500gb on your ps3, save all your movies, mp3s, pics, etc Open ended: Imagine installing your own OS! Backwards compatibility: Right from launch, it'll play psone and ps2 games unlike the 360 that requires updates just to play its immediate junior console, the xbox! Blue ray player: Duh, it plays blue ray discs, dvds, audio cds, video cds. Microsoft has been quietly collecting your money by asking you to buy add ons (hd player) and pay to play online on xbox live Last but not least, dude, this is a sexy black powerhouse. Breaking news: Sony sold 1 million ps3s by the 31st of December (Japan & US), are you saying guys who bought didnt like it? I could go on and on but the fact of the matter is, we all know developers wont be able to get to grips with the ps3 till the end of 2007, it dont mean its not going to perform. Yes it was late to launch, yes its a pricey console, yes it hasnt got a good lineup of launch games but hell yeah, come christmas 2007, you'll all be drooling at this console and thats the honest truth. Whether you b*tch about it or not, people with the dosh will buy it and Sony will meet their target, its the rule of law. No sensible developer will avoid developing for the ps3, you only need to look at the developers signed up man! The 360 is all cool and everything but how long do you guys think its technology will last against the ps3? For chrissakes, Sony's an electronics giant! Because the graphics look the same to the 360 now dont mean they'll look similar in 9months dudes! Microsoft is making 360 owners buy a HD drive add on to watch HD movies, i repeat movies! Its not going to be a format for games, so no day dreamers mate. Dont get me wrong, i like the 360 (Halo, Oblivion, Fight night, Gears of war) but in the long run, its going to lose its breath! ![]() |
Your best bet is www.mininova.org by using a torrent. Do a search for whatever game you're looking for, then click on the appropriate download. I'm assuming you have an application for managing torrents. Cheers. |
Sorry dude, i saw that episode ages ago and i'm actually on episode 214-215( 45 minute special). Ever since episode 134, Sasuke has only featured once and it was in a special showing the top 10 fight scenes (2months ago or so). He only mumbled to Orochimaru to come train him some more. I'm only interested in the fight cos i'd like to see Sasuke get his a*se wooped. To be honest, i actually prefer Rock Lee and Gaara to Sasuke. What am i saying, i even prefer Itachi (Sasuke's bro) to Sasuke. Any of you guys follow Bleach? And whats Deathnote about? This is the 2nd time i've heard about it. Dattebayo ! |
Dudes, i was talking about MGS4: Guns of the patriots (coming out on the ps3 this year). *Spoiler alert: He's going to shoot himself in the head. I'm not a fan of Snake eater, too much camo stealth involved. You guys dig animes too? If you watch naruto, anybody have any idea when he gets to face Sasuke again? |
You're right, the storyline was dorky but i only played the game cos a friend gave me as a present. And the weird thing is i dont love the game, i played the game cos of the wicked moves i could pull off with the aeons ![]() |
I dont think Viante would be saying that if she knew Solid Snake lost an eye in the next episode and he's looking all old and wrinkled. Coupled with the fact that you'll probably change your mind when you see Raiden (he's Solid Snake's successor by the way), he's got sexier moves. But i repeat, nothing's more satisfying than pulling off an overdrive on FFX. I'm with Gamine on this one but it doesnt mean i havent got a soft spot for MGS Solidus |
Looks like a lot of us have got problems with our gprs in one form or the other. Each and everyone of the networks have gprs enabled but i'm not sure if they've been activated in all the states and local governements. So i can only confirm gprs availability for Lagos. Celtel have stopped new activations for their gprs (rumour has it that it was abused when they launched). But if by a stroke of luck, you can get a customer care rep to hook you up, the settings are: Account name: Access!WAP ip address: 172.18.254.5 username: wap password: wap Access point name (apn): wap port for wap: 9201 port for html: 8080 MTN gprs settings are much easier, you just need to send an sms with "SETTINGS" (without the parenthesis) to "3888" and they'll activate your gprs over the air. But if you have a complex phone which isnt on their hit list, i've taken the liberty to include them here: Account name: MTN GPRS ip address: 10.199.212.2 username: web password: web Access point name (apn): web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net port for wap: 9201 port for html: 8080 Unfortunately, i havent got settings for Glo, although i've got part of them but not everything and so i cant vouch for its credibility. Anyway, i personally prefer mtn's gprs because its more reliable and downloads are quick unlike celtel which fluctuates and can be frustrating. I guess you guys cant complain because its free unlike mtn and glo. Some phones have both ports so it would be advisable to enter both settings so you can take advantage of sites with both wap and html fuctionality. Hope this info helps, cheers. |
Curiouser and curiouser, so you know your fantasy tales too Gamine! Strong in the force i feel, Gamine has become she has. I am impressed that i am. I wonder what other skills you've got up your sleeve Cheerio, |
You're right Gamine, FF fulfils the lust for rpgs but i've crossed over to the dark side and going next gen. I'm saving up my pennies for a PS3 (not a fan of the xbox360), to get Oblivion. Now, thats a perfect example of a next gen rpg (mmorpg) and from previews, videos and reviews i've seen, its going to take me a couple of years to finish. Dude, i'm already drooling from the late night sessions. Cool to have a chic on board the games forum though, lets hope the you're strong in the force and dont retire a couple of years down the line. See ya around, |
Dude, its kinda rare to find female tanners but let me formally welcome you to the fellowship of the ring (sound familiar?)! Anyway, i dont think you guys should be comparing Final fantasy and MGS. They're totally different in terms of gameplay, depth and brain drain. I've got FFX and it totally blew me away although i was kinda p*ssed i couldnt get the dark aeons. I liked MGS but love MGS2. MGS is more in your face and down to earth in a way but FF, just like the name saiz, is all fantasy (and i'm totally cool with that). Final fantasy requires a whole lot of thinking and i spent many a night trying to find out how much to bribe "Yojimbo" with just to make him perform his super overkill move! Finally cracked it. Both games rock but just not comparable! Shalashaska. |
Dont know if this helps but you could try downloading a simple forum software to build your own forum. Its user friendly and you would have access to a support forum with loads of people who would be more than happy to help with whatever issues you've got. Either that or you have to pay a designer tonnes of money to do something thats a breeze to set up. You can even set it up and consult your designer on additional features to include and it would still cost less! Even nairaland uses the something similar and look at how much traffic its got. |
I totally agree with you dude, MGS: Sons of liberty rocks. I've even got the theme song as an mp3! I reckon they went overboard with all that stealth thingy in Snake eater, i mean, they had you matching camos to all the trees in the game! Metal gear acid on the other hand was something to keep your psp warm and i'm looking forward to the Patriots on PS3. Shalashaska ! |
Dudes, they may both seem like similar genres but they're not. You only have to take a look at weapons used to tell you one's a futuristic sci-fi and the other takes a look at technology during the cold war. Its sort of like comparing Virtua fighter 4 with Tekken 4. They're both beat-em-ups but with varying depth of move lists. |
If its any consolation, there're guys out there who're going through the same thing you're talking about. Now, if you dudes dont mind, i'd like to go drown my sorrows,
