majorbravo: How is WhiteMoney wise when he claims he knew who the wildcards were but then didn’t vote the wildcards when he had the chance. The same people he supposedly spared are gonna nominate him without fail come Monday. That means he ain’t that smart after all. i guess he saved maria for a purpose. So that when he's up for eviction maria won't nominate him. Its a strategy. |

Business › CBN Orders DMBs To Sell FOREX To Customers by lusid(op): 8:51am On Jul 29, 2021 |
The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has ordered Deposit Money Banks, DMBs to sell foreign exchange (FX) to customers.
CBN disclosed this in a letter to all banks reminding them to set up teller points at designated branches across the country to fulfil legitimate FX requests by customers.
The regulator, on Tuesday, has announced the discontinuity of forex supplies to the Bureau de Change Operators, BDCs in the country over their continuous abuse of the privilege.
The letter, signed by Haruna Mustafa Director, Banking Supervision Department, stated: “Further to the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC. briefing of July 27, 2021, al Deposit Money Banks (DMBs are hereby reminded to set up teller pots at designated branches across the country to fulfil legitimate FX requests for Personal Travel Allowance (PTA Business Travel Allowance (BTA, tuition fees, medical payments SMEs transactions amongst others.
“In this regard, DMBs are also required to adequately publicize the locations of the designated branches and make necessary arrangements to sell FX to customers in cash and/or electronically in compliance with extant regulations.
“DMBs are strongly advised to ensure that no customer is turned back or refused FX provided that documentation and all other requirements are satisfied. Equally undue delays, rationing and/or diversion of FX is strongly discouraged whilst DMBs are required to establish electronic application and alert systems to update customers on the status of their FX requests.
“As communicated during the briefing, a toll-free line has been set up at the CBN for bank customers to escalate unresolved complaints related to their FX requests.
“The CBN will continue to closely monitor banks conduct and compliance with this directive in order to ensure an efficient FX market for all legitimate users.
“Please note that any breach of the directive will be severely sanctioned.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/07/just-in-cbn-orders-dmbs-to-sell-fx-to-customers/

Politics › Eko Disco Meters 321,306 Customers by lusid(op): 8:28am On Jul 28, 2021 |
Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) said it had installed prepaid meters for 321,306 customers out of 608,252 since 2013. Mr Adeoye Fadeyibi, Managing Director, EKEDC, said this during an oversight visit of the Senate Committee on Privatisation to the company on Tuesday in Lagos. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the committee was led by its Chairman, Sen. Theodore Orji. Fadeyibi said the figure represented 53 per cent of the DisCo’s customers, noting that about 78,000 customers had been metered under the ongoing National Mass Metering Programme of the Federal Government. He thanked the government for the initiative of providing freebprepaid meters to Nigerians, which he said had helped in bridging the metering gap in the country. Fadeyibi said EKEDC had consistently led the distribution market by focusing on key initiatives and investing in state-of-the-art technology. “EkEDC invested 13.7 million dollars in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for the purpose of Distribution Network Management. “Subsequently, over 1.6 million dollars was spent on the impressive Geographical Information System (GIS) for realtime customer information and asset management. “This project has since been applauded by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission for being the most accurate at over 90 per cent accuracy,” he said. According to him, in the last five years, EKEDC has spent over 94 million dollars to replace and upgrade obsolete equipment such as power transformers, panels and breakers as well as refurbishing dilapidated Injection Substations. Fadeyibi said the DisCo was envisaging an estimated cost investment of approximately 259 million dollars to upgrade its network going forward. He said this would significantly reduce the frequency of interruptions due to technical faults, hence increasing average supply of energy to customers. Fadeyibi said it would also reduce the average downtime during interruptions, significant reduction in Technical Losses and increased realtime monitoring of the network resulting in proactive responses to failures. Earlier in his remarks, Orji noted that the privatisation of public entities was carried out by government following complaints of poor performances by Nigerians. He said years after the exercise, some of the companies were witnessing better performances while others had not delivered the desired expectations. Orji said the duty of the committee was, therefore, to interface with the companies on how to improve their performances for national development. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/07/eko-disco-meters-321306-customers/ |
Politics › Suspected Killer Of Akwa Ibom Job Seeker To Be Arraigned Today by lusid(op): 11:27am On Jul 26, 2021 |
The principal suspect in the rape and killing of a female job seeker in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria’s South-south, is to be arraigned today at a state High Court in Uyo, PREMIUM TIMES has learnt. The trial was stalled by the nationwide strike by judicial workers. The slain woman, Iniubong Umoren, 26, was raped and killed in April by a twenty-year-old man, Uduak Akpan who had lured her out of her home with a fake job interview. Her remains were buried in a shallow grave at the suspect’s family house in the outskirts of Uyo where the crime took place. Mr Akpan, described as a serial rapist by the police, had confessed to the crime. The late Miss Umoren, an orphan and a fresh graduate of philosophy, University of Uyo, was desperate for a temporary job, while she was waiting for her final year result from the university and her eventual deployment for the mandatory National Youth Service Corps programme. The crime attracted outrage across Nigeria, with many Nigerians putting pressure on the police to bring the suspect(s) to justice. Mr Akpan, who has been in prison, will face rape, murder and other charges. It is unclear for now if his father and one other suspect also arrested by the police would be arraigned along with Mr Akpan. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/475733-suspected-killer-of-akwa-ibom-job-seeker-to-be-arraigned-today.html |

FutureIsFemale: The table has turned. Women are winning. Praise be to master Jesus. She's a film producer, an actress and a businesswoman hope you know.
There is money money in the entertainment industry. There's nothing like "prostitution". The reason it seems like the female entertainers are making it big than their male counterparts is because men waste their money on drugs, alcohol and womanising. While the female entertainers invest their money.
It might shock you to know that male entertainers get paid higher than the females. The females being wise chose to invest theirs. The ladies are making it of courtesy of men. |
