Just incase you don't know, the present transmission facilities we have cannot carry 10,000MW due to inefficiency of the Grid and obsolete equipments.

FG needs massive upgrade and construction of Electricity transmission facilities nationwide, then power generation can be increased by building new power plants

What happened to Julius Berger the original firm that constructed that road that stood for 25years without failing, what about CCeC the Chinese firm reconstructing and expanding the road when Fashola was governor.
FERMA and their Engineers are known for sub-standard work with 6months life span, I don't trust that Wizchino Engineering Limited to handle such a massive project.
Anyway maybe FG intention is just to make the road manageable for now to it's users.

It's a shame, Nigerians are no more respected in Africa, a whole giant of Africa.
I pray there is no major war because in Nigeria because from what am seeing neighbouring African countries will not accept us as refugees.

First, is this type of inefficient, diesel guzzling,enviromentally hazardous railway still built anywhere in the world. For example Kenya and Morocco recently completed their world class railway system.

Secondly, judging from the photographs I don't think this project will be 100% completed by end of this year, we are already in June. Don't forget 80% of the money is loan from China.

Finally I commend the minister of transport because since he intervened in these project the contractors have never relax or slowed down(rainy or dry season), they have been working round the clock non stop. The zeal from the minister is like no other.

My hope is that the new minister will have same zeal.

Nigeria deserve a better, environmentally friendly and efficient railway system. I laughed the very first day I entered the train in Abuja.
