prof800: Chess is right. It is always right. That is how it should be in real life. The Queen is the most powerful while the king is the "game". In fact the king is the kingdom itself.
Yeah, I get that without the king, there is no game or kingdom phrase, was simply making a joke about the king being protected by the queen also, fighting for the king not to be captured - reversed roles. Thinking more about it now, its kinda cool contrary to the women is the weaker vessels and needs to be protected cliche we've always heard. But in chess, the queen also fights to protect the coward king who always hides in his chambers afraid of being captured lol maybe whoever invented the chess game must have been a feminist. |

djeezy: Perhaps he loved her more than she loves him. It's funny though. And he cheated on her arse not once, not twice, not thrice? Now u just cracked me up, LoL Well, if that's the case. It only means he needs a shrink for a reset. |

ronald4lif: No, that's not the case in this context. It's not irrelevant like I said, was only trying to buttress the point that most relationship is based on interest and not love. And the earlier people start loving with their brains together with their heart the better. Oh and I concur to this post |

djeezy: Lmao! Why is he getting mad when he is a serial cheat. He thought she would remain faithful to him. Smh. Cheating is now common. It beats me. When my cousin asked my stand on the issue after he left, I could only LMAO. If it hurts you seeing her almost cheated ur arse out, why think it won't hurt her knowing you cheat as well? Dude was just a clown to me, a pathetic one. |

@topic, its a cycle missclassy.
You're faithful in a relationship but ur partner aint, hence you go into a new relationship vowing never to be faithful (as lessons you've learnt from ur ex, smh!) and then the cyle continues.
Its a crazy world we live in. If only they get attracted to their kind, if only. |

djeezy: its true. They said after all guys cheat that the only time they will become faithful is when they get married. Just got reminded with ur comment about a friend of my cousin's who came home one night lamenting angrily about how he almost caught his girl red handed cheating. The irony, this dude is a serial cheat but there he is being mad cuz his gurl ALMOST cheated and threathening to deal with her? I almost laughed out loud on hearing his complaint. |

But from what I've read, it seems it's what "every" girl do. Generalizations bae, would it also be right if I say all men cheats including you? |

MizMyColi:
 Calm down sweets.
This reminds me of my days in institutional christianity....how I was so sure God would condemn people eternally in hell, how you needed to fast and pray and do other stuff so God can accept you.
Heck! I was made the prayer secretary of our corpers' fellowship!
But look at me these days. Pretty much like Barcanista in religious circles.
I have different convictions now, people have said stuff, I've been called a Satanist, ostracized, sorta.
Yet, in my heart of hearts I know how better I have become, how transformed....sometimes, I pick up my journals from the old days, and I feel some what irritated.
This is not to say that those who are neck deep in Christianity or APC or whatever religious/political ideology they have are stewpid or less....we all have different journies to live out. Even though we falter, let's give eachother grace. Let's treat others the way we'd want them to treat us should we be caught in our worse of worsts.
I believe in God, yes. But going by popular standards, I cannot call myself a Christian.
Am I committing a crime? Despite having once 'won souls' for christ?... Simply because, for whatever reasons I think serve my best interest, I sought a better and higher path....what is my offence?
Based on this analogy, I'm lending my voice to Truckpusher's to ask What is Tonye's offence? What known laws of the land did he violate?
As humans, we have been imbued with so much capacity to love, yet...we are so given to hate.
*sigh* Just so we're reminded..... APC supporters, you can do better than this. You can.
There's nothing noble in thinking of yourself as better than your fellow man.
True nobility lies in being better when compared to one's former self.
Religious section gives me the creeps Coli. I recall vividly my earlier days in that section, for sanity sake, I had to stop frequenting there. Nah, as long as you believe in God and obey His words, you're a Christian Coli. We've got access to His Words, the BIBLE. Everything we need to know about Worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth is in there, that's all we need not some man made doctrines and opinions. And to the fracas on this thread. I want to believe mistakes made by parties concerned has been learnt and retrospecting begun, hence let's all move forward for the good of Nigeria but if not the case, then let's keep giving each other Grace while treating others how we want to be treated, doesn't hurt! |
