Deadlytruth: Who cares any longer when even any Igbo who takes an exception to the Igbo mainstream sentiments is labelled "Afonja"? Your spammed the thread with Zik's "saintliness" representative of Igbos and rightly had to be delivered from his ignorance.
Paul Unongo's penchant for lies and revisionism once again came to the fore early this year when he accused Atiku of sponsorship of the murderous Fulani Herdsmen without any substantiation.
Zik lost that election by a very wide margin. In fact how exactly does it make sense that Awolowo used tribalism to alter the results of an election in which the electoral umpire had declared Zik the winner before the public and given him the certificate of return? And yet none of those who votes gave Zik the victory could advise him to retrieve his mandate through the courts?
But why did Bello not pour same vitrol against any other Southern tribe? So historians like max siollun and nowa omoigui who wrote that zik was rigged out of that election were liars what other southern tribes?well back then we used regions and d west and parts of the mid west aligned with the north via religion and conquest(ilorin) so only the eastern region(hated by the north and british oh and plus the west suffered effects of riots and hate speeches) |

Deadlytruth: As per the bolded; Azikiwe did not really win that election. Moreover the said cross carpeting was so insignificant that without it Zik would still not have won. Only revisionists have kept on peddling this lie. If you don't mind I will give you the very detailed and comprehensive account of that election. Zik lost it in every way and by all standards. An unbiased Igbo historian recently made a publication in Vanguard denouncing the accusation with very hard and unassailable facts.
As for the video you posted above of Ahmadu Bello's interview, if you have watched it and listened to him very well you can't miss the fact that he asked the British interviewer whether there are Northerners employed in the Southern Civil Service and the interviewer could not answer in the affirmative. Was "One-Nigeria" only meant to be observed in the North? The constitution as at that time made it mandatory for each premier to give priority to the natives of his region over outsiders, and so both Awo and Zik did as well. So what was Ahmadu Bello's sin? Afonjas wee not kee person just on this thread alone they went from iwobi is not igbo to lega nord is racist to zik did not win an election that paul unaugo said that awo used tribalism to distort dont even get me started on that bello interview the vitrol against igbos was so strong dat even the interviewer was shocked goblins want one naija but hate ndigbo what an irony cc imhotep |

Cromcruach91: Our enemies are the political profiteers, the swindlers, the men in high and low places that seek bribes and demand 10 percent; those that seek to keep the country divided permanently so that they can remain in office as ministers or VIPs at least, the tribalists, the nepotists, those that make the country look big for nothing before international circles, those that have corrupted our society and put the Nigerian political calendar back by their words and deeds.

hornyofife: I can remember vividly when Rudolf okonkwo wrote an article in 2012 on Sahara reporters about the end of Igbo business model. http://saharareporters.com/2012/07/03/end-igbo-business-model-rudolf-ogoo-okonkwo
He highlighted the threats shoprite and the new business model will pose to Igbo business men/traders. Looking back now, its years now and in my analytical mind, I have been asking, have the igbo business model died since then? How far and fast have the igbos adapted and absorbed to the new business model?
Reading true comments on sahara reporter, many where of the opinion that igbos businessmen are to innovative to be threatened by Shoprite and that at worst, they will adopt the new model and chase shoprite out of Nigeria. There is a popular saying in Most french west African countries that, where ever you see the igbos, the chinese dont go there. Whatever that means, I dont know but I know for sure that south Africans are learners..what ever advantage they have over us, we will learn from them and use it against them...
In this thread, I will be showing pictures of Igbo indigenous malls/ mega plaza/ supermarket that have sprung up in the last 6yrs. They are mostly based in the southeast and outside the southeast and fast expanding.
I dont know all, picture submissions of indigeous mega super market/ plaza/ malls owned by igbos are welcomed umu igbo pls ignore the moving or non movement of the thread the truth is like pregnancy it cannot be hidden one thing is sha certain some ppl's bp has shot up again igbo amaka cc imhotep nkwuocha Ngokafor |
