Subject: Don’t Ignore The Spirit! – Sunday March 28, 2010 Don’t Ignore The Spirit! In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in is love and in his pity he redeemed them; and bare them, and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them (Isaiah 63: 9-10). The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives is one of the greatest blessings we have as Christians. He is our advantage and the secret to a glorious and successful life. Thus you must recognize and take advantage of His ministry in your life. Some Christians ignore the ministry of the Holy Spirit, hence their lives are out of joint; full of ups and downs. It’s the ministry of the Holy Spirit to guide and lead in all affairs of life; it’s His ministry to grant you the wisdom and counsel you need to win every day in life. Consciously acknowledge His presence with you and in you, and learn to yield to Him always. Never ignore His counsel. The Bible says in Isaiah 30:21, “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Whose voice do you think that is? It’s the voice of the Holy Spirit. He speaks to us daily on life’s issues through God’s Word, but many ignore His counsel because His voice is never strong and harsh against us. It matters that in whatever you do, you honour the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life. Don’t wound his tender compassion by consistently rejecting His counsel. Perhaps you talked to someone rudely and Holy Spirit corrected you, be quick to heed His correction and make the necessary amends. Otherwise, His voice that used to be clear to you may soon become faint and distant if you continually ignore Him. Live your life in a way that brings honour to the Holy Spirit; appreciate His presence in your life and you’d be glad you did. Prayer Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the indwelling and abiding presence of your precious Holy Spirit, who is my comforter, teacher and guide. Today, as I seek to do only those things that are honorable and pleasing to you, my increase, progress and prosperity is evident for all to see, in the Name of Jesus. Amen. Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit. |
Six months later Ricky played with his friend without a care in the world. He ate normally without the aid of the feeding machine. And he could eat anything he wanted Praise God!
|
“It felt as though a locker was opened within me and the bad spirits flew out of my body,” Ricky would tell his father afterwards.
|
When Lorenzo heard about the HEALING SCHOOL, he knew he had found the answer. Without hesitation he acquired the necessary information about the next session which was to hold in Johannesburg, South Africa. They lived in Holland but the distance didn’t deter him as he was convinced his son would be healed. On getting to the HEALING SCHOOL, Lorenzo awaits pastor’s arrival in the large auditorium with several others that had journey from other parts of the world. He felt the warm embrace of God’s love like he had never before. As the service started, the choir led the congregation into worship and Lorenzo poured out his heart to God. Then Pastor Chris walked into the hall and as he ministered to everybody on the healing line,Lorenzo’s faith for his son’s healing became strengthened. Some minutes afterwards, Pastor Chris stood in front of Lorenzo where he sat holding Ricky on his laps. The man of God ordered little Ricky to fix his gaze on him. Then he laid his hands on araicky’s chest and blew the anointing on his face. At that moment, he declared, “He is healed!”. Instantly, Ricky jumped off his fathers laps and bolted across the hall! With tears of joy streaminig down his face, Lorenzo swept his son into his arms and praised God for the miracle.
|
Ricky immediately began chemotherapy sessions which instead of ameliorating his ailment rather worsened the situation. In desperate need of feeding Ricky( as at this point of time Ricky wanted to eat nothing), the doctors recommended a feeding pump machine through which a special nutritional diet would be pumped into his gastrointestinal stream via tubes into his stomach through his nostrils. The chemotherapy sessions didn’t help matters rather it worsened the situation. Lorenzo exclaimed, my whole life is now centered round this cancer. Whether I’m sleeping, eating or working, all I’m thinking is this cancer and hoping that my son will not die.
|
CANCER DISAPPEARS BY THE POWER OF GOD Lorenzo from Holland, had earlier observed the slight protrusion on his son Ricky’s stomach, but he didn’t think it was anything serious because sometimes when Ricky got constipated, his stomach became distended, which was why it probably looked the way it did. He didn’t take notice of it until he noticed that his son couldn’t eat or play anymore. He took him to the hospital and the doctors report on Ricky’s health was not good. They said Ricky was suffering from a rare type of cancer known as Neuroblastoma . Lorenzo’s chest pounded with fear. “How could that little swelling on his son’s stomach be a cancer?” he wondered.” Presently, “ the doctor continued, “ the cancer had spread to his skull, spinal cord, bone marrow and pelvis. We have to begin treatment immediately to try to contain the spreading. Your son has only 25% chance of survival”

Subject: Love Like God – Saturday March 27, 2010 Love Like God For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with a the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:14-19). The scripture above is a beautiful prayer by the apostle Paul for the Body of Christ. In it, he lets us know that with all the knowledge of the love of Christ, we will be filled with all the fullness of God. When the love of Christ is working in you, you’ll love every single person that comes across your path no matter how seemingly worthless, insignificant or unloveable he may be. When the Bible says in John 3;16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son…” it wasn’t referring to the world of buildings, cars, machines, vegetation, oceans and mountains, but the world of people. That means He loves every single person in the world. We also ought to love everyone without discrimination, for the love of Christ doesn’t exclude anyone. You have the capacity to love like God. The Bible says, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved (Ephesians 2:4-5). God loved us while we were yet sinners. Therefore, let your love for the people for whom Christ died be intense, and let it also motivate you to soul winning.Today, let your heart beat with love for those around you who are yet to know the Lord. Let Christ’s love in you compel you to preach the gospel to them and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of satan unto God. Confession I am a child of God, created in His very image of love. I have the ability to love like my heavenly Father who gave up Jesus to die for my sake. The love of Christ has taken a hold of me and I’m manifesting this love, thereby reaching out to my world with love. Hallelujah. Further Study Ephesians 2:4-5 (MSG) It's a wonder God didn't lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. |

Subject: Rule Your World! – Friday March 26, 2010 Rule Your World! And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions (Hebrews 11:32-33). As Christians, we ought to apply our faith in God’s Word to deal with situations and challenges. In the faith’s hall of fame, the Bible talks about certain men and women who through their faith performed great feats for the Kingdom of God (Hebrews 11:32-33). These apostles of faith subdued kingdoms and did supernatural things in their time; they ruled their world! The Bible talked about how they wrought righteousness; meaning when others conformed to error, they stood their grounds for the truth and prevailed. They were as the children of Issachar who the Bible says had an understanding of the times (1 Chronicles 12:32). By your faith, you too can do great things in your world today. You can work righteousness and breathe life back into situations that were hitherto dead. Through your faith, you can revive that business that’s been grounded! You can perform so well in your business or career that the world will marvel at you. Faith is your currency; rule your world with it. Confession I’m backed by God to rule and dominate my world with His Word. The Word of faith is in my heart and my mouth; as I speak it forth, it produces the desired result. I’m obtaining promises, producing righteousness everywhere I go and effecting great changes by the Word of God through faith. Through faith, I’ve overcome the world! Hallelujah! Further Study Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Joshua 1:5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. |

Subject: Change The Old Order! – Thursday March 25, 2010 Change The Old Order! Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:18-19). From time to time, it’s important to review the way things have been going with you and determine the areas in which you’ve got to do things differently. You can’t do the same things you’ve been doing, in the same ways you’ve been doing them and expect different results. Even God at some point, said “I will do a new thing” (Isaiah 43:19). He gave the Israelites strict laws to follow, which they couldn’t. He thundered at Mount Sinai and they ran away from Him in fear! Finally, He changed the order, and won us over with love: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). So, get this straight today, if you want something different from what you’re experiencing now, you’ve go to take some radical steps and do things differently. You’ve got to change the old way of thinking and employ new ideas. Perhaps at work you’ve been noted as being the tardy employee, and now you’re expecting to have sterling recommendations and promotions from your bosses. First, you’d have to change the old order. Start practising getting to work early; learn to sit down and finish your work in time, and be excellent at your job. Or maybe you don’t pray and study your Bible regularly as you should, yet you’re expecting to come out victoriously in life – that won’t happen, until you change things. Right now, list out those areas where you need to make a change, and consciously write out the new steps your going to take to effect the change you desire, and then go for it! Don’t leave those things merely on paper; make them part of your personal development project and before long, your situation would have changed for the best. Prayer Dear Father, I ask that you help me identify those areas where I must make definite changes, so I might chart a new course of success for my life. I commit myself to diligently following through with the decisions and plans you inspire me to make today, in Jesus’ Name Amen. Further Study Isaiah 43:18-19 GNB But the Lord says, “Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already – you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there. Proverbs 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. |

Subject: Receive God’s Answer – Wednesday March 24, 2010 Receive God’s Answer Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:19-20). Someone says “I’ve been praying to God to help me out of my situation, but nothing has changed!” Well, it’s your responsibility, not God’s to effect a change in that situation by proclaiming the Word of faith. God’s responsibility is to send you His Word; His Word is the ingredient you require for change. The Bible says in Psalm 107:20, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” God saves, heals, transforms and delivers through His Word. His Word is dependable, and you can apply it to every circumstance of life. No matter how terrible your condition may look, God’s Word can work for you and bring about the change you need. Even if you wanted things to go from good to better or better to best, God’s Word can still work for you. The Bible says, “For the word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing and effective]…” (Hebrews 4:12 AMP). That means God’s Word has the inherent power to cause the required change in your circumstance. When you receive the Word into your spirit, it produces in your life what it talks about. For example, if you receive God’s Word on healing and act on it, it’ll produce healing in you; in the same way, your finances will be improved when you act on God’s Word concerning your finances. Never become scared or discouraged by the enormity of any challenge. Don’t surrender to a life of fear, failure and complaints. Rather, devote quality time to studying God’s Word, especially in the area where you require a change. But don’t stop there; meditate on the Word and speak faith-filled words and everything about you will catapult to excellence. Confession I’m undaunted by challenges, for I’m confident in the ability of God’s Word to cause the change I desire. My heart is opened to receive from God, and I’m quick to act on His Word. Today, I surmount every difficulty, and I prosper in everything I do because I function by His Word. Further Study Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the [g]breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. |

Subject: Be Prosperous And Effective! – Tuesday March 23, 2010 Be Prosperous And Effective! And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian (Genesis 39:2). Joseph was described as “a prosperous man” despite being a slave in Potiphar’s house. This shows that prosperity isn’t a function of your career or assignment, but a product of your spirit. In our opening verse, the word “prosperous” is translated from the Greek word “Tsalach,” which means to be prosperous and effective. Thus, not only was Joseph prosperous, he was also effective. Even though he had been sold into slavery, falsely accused and imprisoned, his ordeal didn’t taint the quality of his spirit. He recognized that the Lord was with him, and so exuded the spirit of a prosperous man. The Bible says in Romans 15:4, “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” This implies that the story of Joseph was written for our learning. So, can it be said of you that you’re prosperous and effective in the things that you do? Today, the same Lord that was with Joseph is with you and lives in you in the Person of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). Talking about Him, Jesus said, “…he (the Holy Spirit) shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance…” (John 14:26). The Holy Spirit living in you will teach you how to be more effective in the things God has called you to do, if only you’d acknowledge His indwelling and abiding presence in your life. Prayer Father, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for you’re the One at work in me, both to will and to do your good pleasure. Thank you for blessing my life and making me a blessing to my world. You’ve made me prosperous and effective in whatever I lay my hands to do, in Jesus’ Name! Amen. Further Study Genesis 39:5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. In 1993, Frank Davies, a pastor in Telford United Kingdom noticed that he could not hear properly over the phone. Initially, he thought it was a problem with the connection or with the telephone. He however became concerned when he could not hear people with his left ear and to turn his right ear towards the people when they talked to him. Frank went to see a doctor who ran a series of tests and diagnosed that he was loosing his sense of hearing. Frank was 58yrs old then and he knew that God had called him into the ministry to proclaim the good news of His saving power and to nurture and raise His children in the word, so any kind of sickness would slow him down. Frank felt the situation was embarrassing and to avoid misunderstanding from people, he decided to stay away from them. This went on for 14years with the condition getting worse but sometime during this period, a program on television caught his attention, it was an episode of THE HEALING SCHOOL program on Loveworld Television. Frank then made up his mind to attend and immediately started making arrangements to attend the next session which was to be held in Johannesburg South Africa. This was in February 2008. With great faith, Frank and his wife Susan travelled to South Africa for the first time in their lives using all their savings. So, a 73yr old Frank arrived South Africa with faith in his heart. When the healing service began, with a thankful heart, Frank began to praise God for the opportunity to be there! When Pastor Chris got to where he was, Frank could barely stand for joy. The man of God immediately recognized that his condition had being caused by an infirmity. He put his fingers in Frank’s left ear and commanded the spirit to come out. Then he blew the anointing on Frank and he fell under the power of God. When he got up, radiant and filled with joy, he lifted up his hands to God in thanks! The next day, admist several others who had received their healing, Frank testified of his awesome miracle. With great excitement his wife came and stood beside him and as he demonstrated his healing and whispered to him “ I love you”, and with delight, Frank responded “ I love you too” ! Sitting in his home in Telford, he recounted his experience with great joy. “My experience at the healing school was beautiful. Not only was my left ear healed, my life was also transformed. The healing school stands out as a very rich and life- changing experience. Many people quote the word of God, but at the HEALING SCHOOL, we experienced the word. Then he concluded with conviction, “if you with conviction, “if you are sick, seek the lord by going to the healing school”. , CULLED FROM A BOOK BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME, HEALING FROM HEAVEN |
Subject: Personalize The Word! – Sunday March 21, 2010 Personalize The Word! So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls (James 1:21 AMP). There are people who in church, never think the message being preached is addressed to them. They always feel the pastor is referring to someone else, especially if he’s correcting something negative. Imagine two ladies, Susan and Mary, had a row before coming to church. While in church, it happens that the pastor’s message is on love. Susan suddenly feels justified and starts casting conceited glances at Mary, hoping that Mary is hearing. That’s a wrong approach to the Word of God by Susan. The message came for both of them, but Susan missed the blessing because she didn’t personalize the Word. She kept thinking it wasn’t she but Mary who needed to hear what the pastor had to say. Whenever you’re in church and God’s Word is coming to you, always personalize the Word and receive it for yourself. Don’t sit there wishing the brother owing you money is listening to what the pastor is saying about debts; receive the Word for yourself. Some people only pay attention when they like the topic being preached. But once the pastor begins to correct their wrong actions through the Word, they shut themselves out. The Bible says “Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action)” (2 Timothy 3:16 AMP). In other words, whether the preacher is sharing God’s Word on prosperity or correcting you through the Word, you have to take God’s Word for you for that moment. Always personalize the Word for your progress and blessings. Confession The Word of God is for my progress, blessings and promotion. As I receive it into my heart today with all humility and modesty, I experience its transforming power in Jesus’ Name! Further Study Proverbs 9:12 AMP If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scorn, you alone will bear it and pay the penalty. Luke 6:41-42 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 42: Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. |

Subject: Illumination By The Word! – Saturday March 20, 2010 Illumination By The Word! The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple (Psalm 119:130). The Amplified Bible highlights this scripture even better; it says, “The entrance {and} unfolding of Your words give light; their unfolding gives understanding (discernment and comprehension) to the simple.” Put simply, God’s Word has the ability to bring illumination to your spirit and give you insight into reality. The scripture doesn’t say God’s Word gives light; rather, “the entrance” of God’s Word gives light. So it’s not enough to have the Word in the pages of the Bible; it has to gain entrance into your spirit. When it enters your spirit, you receive light and understanding! Suddenly, you’d begin to see things the way God sees them. God’s Word is the true light (John 1:9) that reveals the truth regarding all things. It reveals who you really are, what you can do, and your inheritance in Christ. When you allow the Word illuminate your spirit, negative circumstances around you are dispelled, while God’s glory and abundant provisions become real to you. Let God’s Word be the light by which you see all things. Let it guide you in all your affairs – in your marriage, ministry, academics, business, finances and every area of your life. Refuse to walk in the dark, or live by the lesser light; rather, receive illumination by the Word! Confession I walk day after day by the light of God’s Word. I’m not moved by the natural circumstances that exist in the world. God’s Word is the light by which I operate in my job, finances, family and everything that concerns me. I’m aware of God’s bountiful provisions for me, and I’m enjoying them, because I see by the greater light of His Word. Amen.
