It was heart breaking to see how different our theology and Christian Unchristian practice was from what the bible presents when studied closely. And what got me thinking while in church at CEC back then was the man worship (of Pastor Chris) going on there in the name of "honouring the man of god".well l have a simple question for you my dear "enlightened" friend: you sound like you've been in CEC so what necessitated your eventual exist? l would be glad to extract something useful from your response as regards your reason for throwing in the towel at CEC. |
Subject: You Can Obtain Mercy For The Lost! – Friday March 19, 2010 You Can Obtain Mercy For The Lost! Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). I’m always stirred in my spirit when I think of this truth: that we can obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need. We’re not asked to pray or beg God for it, but to come boldly unto the throne of grace and obtain it. That means we can obtain mercy for the lost. No wonder Jesus said, “… [Just] as the Father has sent Me forth, so I am sending you… if you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of anyone, thy are retained” (John 20:21, 23 AMP). This means you can declare on behalf of the wayward or wicked “In the Name of Jesus, you’re forgiven,” because you’ve obtained mercy from the throne of grace on their behalf. In the same vein, you can obtain mercy for a city or nation, even one full of spiritually and morally bankrupt people. You can pray thus: “Father, in the Name of Jesus, I obtain mercy for them. Let the Spirit of salvation be released upon them in the Name of Jesus!” Yes, you can obtain mercy for the wayward, the wicked and the lost in your city or nation; you can find grace to help in time of need. There’s abundant grace in God’s throne-room to help the lost, the sick, the dying, the outcast, and the downtrodden. Thank God, you and I have been sent to help them. It’s time for you take up your position as a minister and intercessor and obtain mercy and find grace to help such people in your town, city or country. You can take as much grace as you need for their sake. There’s an abundance of grace and mercy flowing from the throne-room of God; take it and spread it around! Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for the abundance of grace and mercy that’s flowing from your throne room! I receive right now, the grace for salvation of souls for the lost in my neighbourhood, city and nation. May the veil be taken off their minds for the light of the glorious gospel of Christ to shine through bringing them salvation and healing, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study Ephesians 2:4 Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven. 1 Timothy 1:16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. Psalm 107:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. |

Just last week the city of Jos in Plateau state experienced a very terrible crisis where a lot of manslaughter took place. There were a lot of killings of people especially the women and children. A lot of bodies were seen everywhere and a lot of mass burials took place. Jos was not a place to be at that point in time. It was all over the news, the moslems where killing the christians mercilessly. But amidst all the confussion, miracles were still taking place. Here's a testimony: A former grand occult master and former islamic leader Mohammed Aliu who got converted to christianity shares his testimony. He was converted to christianity in Mecca in a dramatic and spectacular way. Now, because of this when he came back, the moslems sought to kill him because after his conversion he did not just keep quiet but he went about sharing his testimony about his conversion and also preaching the gospel. He became a popular evangelist and became part of a church ministry in jos. On the faithful day, he said he dropped his children off in school and branched by a business centre to do some printing and photocopying when a serious crisis that would almost cost him his life broke out. When the fight broke out, the moslems caught him, burnt his car and dragged him to a bush to kill him. He said he was surrounded with a bow and arrow to his head with dead bodies lying all around him. He was then given two options, to either be killed by the bow and arrow or drink a deadly mix( a mixture of cement and some poisonous chemical). He said he chose to drink the poison not because he wanted to but because he had being feeding his spirit on something. When he opted for the poison he said he remembered a message by Pst Chris that says", If Christ be in you, the life in you can neutralise poison. based on the scripture mark 16:18 "If they drink any deadly thing,it shall not hurt them" He drank the poison and at that point he couldn't mention the name of Jesus because if he did, he would be killed immediately. So he kept repeating " Christ in me, the hope of glory " under his breath and over again untill he passed out. He came back to consciousness in the evening. he saw burning houses. When he looked around him all he could see were dead bodies. Many obviously had died of the same poison and many died by bow and arrow. He found some bows and arrows lying arround him. He said he remembered his children, quickly pick up some arrows and bow and in order to identify with the killers runing rampage in disguise as he headed for the barracks where the children schooled. While approaching the barracks he had to throw away the weapons he had on him and then he searched and searched for his children. He saw the about 45mins later and decided to check for his wife the next morning. On getting to the market where he last saw the wife, he was visited with the sight of dead bodies and then he saw the wrapper she was tying the day before. That was how he recognised her body. Evangelist Mohammed Aliu is starting life afresh , and never ceases to give God thanks for the tapes of pastor Chris that has brought him understanding of practical life in Christ . He gave his testimony in a Christ Embassy Church , The Church raised a considerable amount of money for him and his four kids even though he was not a member of Christ Embassy. |

You Can Face Tough Times And Win! – Tuesday March 16, 2010 You Can Face Tough Times And Win! Wherefore take unto the whole armour of God, that ye many be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13). Have you ever had a sense of foreboding of something unpleasant, yet in your spirit, you knew you had to face it? What do you do when you find yourself in such a situation? We can learn from the Master. The Lord Jesus anticipated evil. His fame spread abroad after He raised Lazarus from the dead. Some Greeks heard of Him and came to visit, but Jesus saw their coming as a sign and said, “The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified” (John 12:23). He then went on to show His disciples how He was going to die, and by so doing, bring many to righteousness (John 12:24). He concluded by saying, “Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause I came unto this hour.” Jesus was troubled within because of the evil He anticipated, yet He knew it was part of His destiny. The next thing He did was to go and pray, and the Bible says, “there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him (Luke 22:43). To face tough times and win, you need strength from within, and that strength comes when you pray. Understand that the evil is not supposed to destroy you; God would never allow such. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “There hath no temptation taken you such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” That way of escape is in His Word. Declare God’s word in earnest, heartfelt and continued prayer, and when the evil comes, you’ll be able to withstand and come out victorious in the end. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the grace to face challenging situations and still come out victorious! Thank you for the strength of the Spirit that wells up within me each time I’m faced with adverse circumstances that challenge my faith! Your indwelling and abiding presence is my guarantee that, come what may, I’ll always be a winner, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Luke 21:34-36 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35: For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36: Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. |
-------------------- Subject: Feed On The Word – Monday March 15, 2010 Feed On The Word As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2). Just as good nutrition is indispensable to proper physical growth, God’s Word is the essential nourishment for spiritual growth. Someone who is malnourished wouldn’t have enough resistance when sickness or disease attacks his body. It’s the same spiritually. When a Christian neglects God’s Word, He’ll be susceptible to attacks from the devil and subject to the elements and circumstances of the world around him. To grow unto maturity in Christ, you must voraciously feed on God’s Word. The Bible says, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2). When Paul told the Corinthian church that he fed them with milk and “not with meat” (1 Corinthians 3:2), he wasn’t referring to physical food. He was referring to God’s Word. Even David, in the Old Testament understood the importance of feeding on the Word, hence he said, “your word shall I meditate upon day and night” (Psalm 1:2). For the Word of God to dwell in you richly, you must esteem and desire it more than your necessary food. This is how to move to the next level in your Christian life; getting more rooted and grounded in the Word. Be unshakable and unmovable in your resolve to get the best out of the Word. Feed your spirit with the Word today. Prayer Dear Father, my heart is opened to receive your Word and live by it today. I refuse to be swayed by the many contrary voices in the world; rather, I make a deliberate choice to look away from everything else and focus my gaze on your Word. By this, I continuously function in the realities of your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21: Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22: For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. |
----------------- Subject: You Need Accurate Knowledge Of God’s Word! – Sunday March 14, 2010 You Need Accurate Knowledge Of God’s Word! So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off (Proverbs 24:14). It’s important to understand that the Christian life involves a continuous growth process. There’s always something new to learn and new improvements to be made as you continually study and hear God’s Word. This is why you shouldn’t think you’ve done everything there is to do in a situation because you can act on the basis of the knowledge and understanding of God’s Word you have at a particular time. There’s a big difference between doing everything that ought to be done in a particular situation and doing everything you know in that situation. Sometimes, what you know may just not be enough. God said, “My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6); He makes it clear the reason some Christians suffer: they lack accurate and adequate knowledge of how the Kingdom of God functions. That’s where the real problem is; it’s not because their challenges are overwhelming and defy all solutions. For example, if Christian parents give birth to a handicapped child, except they understand how the Kingdom works, they won’t know what to do. They’d fret and go from place to place crying for help and looking for solutions. But if they know how God’s Kingdom functions and have a sound understanding of the Word, they’ll address the situation with the Word of God to effect a change. Accurate knowledge of God’s Word will help you take charge of your life and control the circumstances of your existence, instead of being controlled by them. That’s why I’m urging you today to go for the Word! Follow the Word to know, and keep applying the knowledge you receive to the circumstances of your life. Confession Dear Father, I thank you for your Word; it is truth by which I live today and every day. The knowledge of your Word in my spirit puts me over and gives me the victory today! Fear, sickness, poverty, and death have no place in me, because I live by faith in the Word of God, which is my recipe for total success, victory, prosperity and divine health. Further Study Colossians 1:9-10 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10: That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. |
Subject: Confessing The Lordship Of Jesus – Saturday March 13, 2010 Confessing The Lordship Of Jesus That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9). The opening scripture reveals the fundamental requirement to receive salvation. Anyone desirous of salvation must believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord over his or her life. No one can be born again by merely wishing to be. The reason for this is simple: Jesus consciously did something to become our Saviour and Lord. He fulfilled the righteous demands of justice that consummated salvation for all mankind. Hence, to be born again, you have to consciously confess the Lordship of Jesus over your life; that’s the principle that guarantees salvation. You’ll have to say: “I believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead; I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life.” That confession is key to salvation. It doesn’t matter that you’re the ‘nicest’ person around. You can’t trust in your good deeds to save you. The words of Jesus in John 3:7 when he said “ye must be born again,” is not a cliché or a suggestion; niceness and good deeds don’t save. There’s a definite act required for salvation; you’ve got to “receive” (Greek: lambano) or “take hold of” the eternal life that Christ brought. Christ already made salvation available to everyone; it’s your responsibility to reach out and receive your salvation. How? By confessing His Lordship! So you see, the key is in your mouth! No wonder the Bible says, “…The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach” (Romans 10: .If you’re not yet born again, you can do this right away by praying this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I ask that you come into my heart and be the Lord of my life from this day forward. I confess with my mouth that you are Lord of my life, and believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead; therefore I declare that I am saved.” Confession Dear Father, I thank you for your great love towards me and the demonstration of this love by sending Jesus Christ to die in my stead. I declare with my mouth that He’s the Lord of my life and the captain of my soul. In Him I live and move and have my being. Amen. Further Study John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Romans 10:8-10 AMP But what does it say? The Word (God's message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach, 9:Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10: For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. Rhapsody of Realities Pastor Chris Oyakhilome -------------------- |
@POSTER why do you judge from your bedroom. just this last wednesday, a man and his family came all the way from jos to my state and they were helped in my church. we didn't know him from anywhere. he came with his four kids all still dressed in their uniforms. their mother had died during the massacre and all my pastor did was to allow the man tell the church what happened and then people started giving him things. money, clothes for him and the children, phone et al the man left the church that day shocked. meanwhile he said the reason he came to town was because he had a friend in the goverment house but because his phone was missing he did not call before coming and unfortunately for him, the friend had being transferred out of town so he had to lodge with his children in an hotel that night. THE CHURCH ALSO PAID HIS HOTEL BILL, fed him and also gave him money as he was leaving to his paternal home town. my pastor did not call any tv station neither did he call any radio station or any newspaper house. , only God knows what others are doing world over so my dear friend, don't judge with what you see happen in your house for it might be different outside. |

Subject: All Things Are Yours! – Friday March 12, 2010 All Things Are Yours! Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; and ye are Christ’s and Christ is God’s (1 Corinthians 3:21-23). God didn’t create you to suffer and struggle through life. Some people suffer and settle for the lesser things in life too quickly. Some have thought it wrong to live well and look good. They have the notion that it’s better to live in poverty and go to heaven. Living in poverty, sickness and defeat has nothing to do with going to heaven; in fact, that’s inconsistent with the Gospel. However, living in health, dominion, and in God’s provision is the fulfillment of the Gospel. God didn’t plan a miserable life for you. His Word, apart from showing you His will for your life, also reveals your inheritance in Christ. 2 Corinthians 8:9 declares, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Jesus became poor, that we might become rich. So all you’ve got to do to enjoy the life of prosperity He’s brought you into is to live in His Word! In Isaiah 1:19, God said, “if ye be willing and obedient, ye shalt eat of the good of the land:” The Living Bible puts it this way: “if you will only let me help you, if you will only obey, I will make you rich.” Your submission to God’s Word as final authority in your life is the key to living in your inheritance in Christ and enjoying life to the full. That’s what empowers angels to act on your behalf and commit riches to you. God has already bestowed all the treasures of heaven on you. He’s given you all things to enjoy, not in the sweet by-and-by, but TODAY! Prayer Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the rich and beautiful life you’ve brought me into in Christ, I thank you for bringing me into my place of inheritance in Christ Jesus, where you’ve made all things available to me to freely enjoy, in Jesus Name Amen. Further Study 1 Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; Ecclesiastes 5:18 Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion. |

Subject: Lay Aside Every Weight – Thursday March 11, 2010 Lay Aside Every Weight Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, let us run with patience the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1). If you’re going to successfully run the race that is set before you as a child of God, you have to lay aside every weight. You have to lay aside every encumbrance, hindrance, burden and impediment, and run the race of life with patience, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:1-2). Weight in this context is that trait or character that’s not of God that can limit you from attaining to your God-given potentials. Pride for instance is one of such weights. The Bible says God resists the proud, but gives more grace to the humble (James 4:6). Talking about Jesus, the Bible says “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:8-9)! Jesus humbled Himself to the point of death, even the shameful death on the cross, that He might reconcile men unto God. He ran His race and won. You too can win your race by laying aside pride and every other trait or attitude that’s not of God, because such things frustrate the grace of God upon your life. This is the reason you ought to give more attention to learning the Word of God. God’s Word will transform you by renewing your mind (Romans 12:2); it will help you lay aside every weight and wash away whatever isn’t of God from your life (Ephesians 5:26). Confession Dear heavenly Father, thank you, for your Word is working and producing results in me today! I declare that I’m running the race you’ve set before me with patience, eschewing and laying aside pride, jealousy and every encumbrance, trait or character that could limit me from attaining to my God-given potentials and destiny in God! Further Study Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Hebrews 12:1-2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. |

Subject: Cut It Out With The Word! – Wednesday March 10, 2010 Cut It Out With The Word! By Pastor Chris And take…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17). Some years ago, I noticed a small growth in my body, but instead of voicing concern about it, I addressed it and said, “I cut you out of my body in the Name of Jesus!” I said everything I knew to say from God’s Word to it, but it was still there and it felt the same. However, I had learnt a long time ago that the Word of God is more real than the world in which we live. I kept saying the same things until a whole week passed. It looked and felt like the growth was still there. But then, every time I felt it, I addressed it differently and said, “I’ve cut you out; you’re gone! Two weeks passed and I had somehow forgotten all about it. Then one morning, while I was in the bathroom, the growth just dropped to the floor. I looked at it and picked it up; I had cut it out of my body, with the Word! You may wonder, “How in the world did that happen?” Well, it’s very simple. The Greek word for “mouth” is “stoma,” which means “the front or edge of a weapon.” So when you confess God’s Word, in the realm of the Spirit, you’re literally cutting the devil down with a sword! That’s because “the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). When you take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, you can cut any growth or disease out of your body. There’s no surgeon’s scalpel that can work as effectively and precisely as the sword of the Spirit. So put the Word in your mouth today and use it to cut out anything you don’t want in your body or in your life. Confession My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, therefore, no sickness, disease or infirmity can lodge in it. I cut out any disease-germ or growth that tries to attach itself to my body, in the Name of Jesus, and I continually glorify God in my spirit and my body as I walk in divine health today. Amen. Further Study Mark 11:23-24 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24: Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. |
yes i listened to it, it's even in todays rhapsody. you can check in on the rhapsody of realities thread |
Ganjaseed:pastor chris never talked about cutting himself up but rather he talked about cutting out a growth on his body by the word of God. |

20: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. |
rich_john:well maybe it will lead you to some sciptures so why not try it first!?! KunleOshob:Na wa o! KunleOshob, this bitterness you have against ministers of God is amazing. you sound like you have being duped over and over again by pastors via tithing, offerings, seeds and firstfruits. Inasmuch as the tithing is compulsory as well as the firstfruits, it is still not by force o! The same way the bible says "ye must be born again" but you cannot force a man to be born again and succed by it. It takes love for God to be born again so also it takes love for a man to give of his substance to God. By the way what is your yardstick for measuring the fake or real pastors and are you ordained by God to do the measuring? |
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor of Christ Embassy Church aka Believers LoveWorld Inc raises funds for the children and helpless in Haita. Pastor Chris held a concert on sunday 7th of March 2010 for the children of Haiti who became orphans at the demise of their parents and loved ones. Pastor Chris, due to his compassion for children has helped many world over through the INNERCITY MISSIONS of Christ Embassy where children hawkers, homeless kids, the motherless and those left on the streets to suffer were brought in, washed, clothed and given new homes. He went as far as giving them scholarships to schools and colleges and some were also taught how to be self productive. Now, after the HAITI earthquake, Pastor Chris was moved with the same compassion for the victims and in his bid to help them organised a worldwide crusade for all the Christ Embassy Churches as well as Campus Fellowships just to raise money to send to the country of HAITI. What a LOVE! On sunday all the churches hooked up, not just to sing and enjoy the presentations at the concert but to give their own part for the relief. It was a glorious event. Apart from the funds being raised for them we are reaching them with the gospel of Jesus. They will get born again and filled with the spirit, they would have a reason to smile again. In Pastor Chris' own words, "our interest is not in Chile(the country with an 8.0 earthquake) but in Haiti (a 7.0 earthquake) because Haiti is one of the poorest nations of the earth and with this magnitude of earthquake, it is a catastrohy. A lot of money was raised from this concert, I won't be surprised if Pastor Chris gives 1 billion dollars Haiti will live again, Haiti will rise again, The children will be given hope again, They will be given a future again |
Subject: You Have The Ability To Do Right! – Tuesday March 9, 2010 You Have The Ability To Do Right! Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (Galatians 5:1). The Christian has been called into liberty, to live righteously for the Lord. The divine ability to live right and please God naturally was imparted to your spirit when you were born again. That’s Christianity. A Christian doesn’t struggle to do right. Righteousness, which is the nature of God in your spirit, is a force in you that produces the ability to live right. Some have never really understood the doctrine of righteousness as revealed in God’s Word, hence the reason they still struggle with sin. Righteousness is more than doing what is right. Righteousness is a nature that gives you the ability to do right. It’s a divine element that causes you to act, talk and live right. The Christian is not in bondage or under servitude to sin or the devil. You can never be in bondage to sin, satan or any bad habit when you understand who you are in Christ. Hebrews 12:1 says “lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us…” This means you can decide you’re not going to do something that’s wrong and stand your ground, for you have the ability to do right. Make up your mind today to stand fast in the liberty of Christ. Confession The nature of God in me is righteousness; therefore I don’t struggle to do right. I’m at liberty to serve God with my whole heart and do only those things which are pleasing to Him. Amen. Further Study Romans 6:13-14 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. |

ect: Be Specific In Your Requests! – Monday March 8, 2010 Be Specific In Your Requests! And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (Mark 11:22-23). Some Christians pray and say, “O Lord, I just want you to bless me,” without being specific as to exactly what blessing they’re asking the Lord for. God desires to answer your prayers, but He also wants you to know when He does, which is why you must be specific when making requests in prayer. Jesus, in Mark 11:23, said, “If thou shalt say unto this mountain…” not just a mountain, emphasizing that there ought to be some specificity. He also demonstrated this when He raised Lazarus from the dead after he had been buried for four days! (John 11:39) He called him by name and said, “Lazarus, come forth!’ He said exactly what He wanted, and that was what He got. So, in making requests in prayer, be specific; be exact; believe that you shall have whatever you say. Let your desire be clear, and then when you pray, believe that your request has been granted. Mark 11:12-14 explains the reason for Jesus’ words in Mark 11:23 (MSG): “as they left Bethany the next day, he was hungry. Off in the distance he saw a fig tree in full leaf. He came up to it expecting to find something for breakfast, but found nothing but fig leaves. (It wasn’t yet the season for figs.) He addressed the tree: “No one is going to eat fruit from you again – ever!” Did you notice that? Jesus addressed the tree! He precisely and clearly expressed His faith. You too can do the same. You can act on God’s Word in simplicity and faith and expect results. When you strongly desire a change, be specific as to what you want, and clearly make your request known to the Father. Having done that, believe in your heart that your desire has been granted and then act accordingly. Prayer Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn your Word today. As I speak forth specific words of faith by the power of the Holy Spirit, concerning the changes that I desire in my life, I thank you, because those changes are effected, in Jesus’ Name. Amen! Further Study Mark 11:22-23 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23: For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. |
Sunday 7th March Pastor Chris Respond With Your Spirit For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation Whenever you meditate on the word of God, though it goes through your mind, which is the doorway to your spirit, it's actual destination is your spirit. That's why you must live from your spirit. Your head can't grasp the word of faith, for God's word is food for the human spirit. Your response from the word should be from your spirit. Hebrews 10:38 says, "Now the just shall live by faith, " Faith is the response of the human spirit to the word of God. If you don't meditate on the word, you really can't have faith, and without faith, the challenges of life will overwhelm you. But God's word in your heart, energizes your spirit to know that anything is possible! For example, when a sick person reads Peter 2:24 that says ", by whose stripes you were healed," he ought to immediately respond form his spirit by rejoicing and declaring, "Praise God i've being healed!" Though he may still feel pains or certain symptoms in his body, it makes no difference to the truth of God's word! Those symptoms are lying vanities that are subject to change. Learn to respond to the word of God with your spirit. The response of your spirit to the word will determine what you see in the physical realm. Your present circumstances or situation may be contrary to what the Word says, but cower! Keep the Word in your heart and in your mouth. Keep rejoicing and celebrating your victory, irrespective of natural circumstances, and your faith will prevail Confession I live by faith and not by sensory perception, for what i see with my optical eyes are temporary and subject to change. I respond to the Word with my spirit, knowing that true faith is of the spirit! I rule, reign and dominate from within, for I have learnt to dominate from my spirit. Halleluyah! Further Study For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation Romans 10:10 (KJV) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Cor 4:18 (KJV) |
