Thanks boss. U just opened my eye, I actually did not know I could use my OND n HND to claim more points. Pls, how much will be sufficient to proof funding for this Express entry process ? 40manlappy: You have crucial factors in your favour which will help you greatly in this process:
-OND + HND with which you can claim "2 or more certificates". This attracts more points than a BSc.
-At least one year of work experience. Look up the NOC that is relevant to your work experience
-Young age
-Relatives in Canada
If you are very determined about going the PR route, I would advise that you focus on evaluating your existing qualifications right away, register and prepare thoroughly for IELTS (General) test to get a minimum of 8,7,7,7 in LSRW and save the tuition fees for your proposed conversion course to BSc. The latter will be very useful for your proof of fund (POF) unless money was no object for you.
Please read page 0 more diligently for more guidance. All the best!

Thanks boss for ur input. I will work on those points jnyuwa02: I think you have very little money and asset. And having HND and going to start undergrad does NOT make sense. You might want to apply for a course that shows a logical progression in your degree aspiration and try and pay not only half tuition, but the entire one year tuition. Then get your sponsor to transfer one year's living expenses into your domiciliary account. Those would go along way in convincing the VO that you are too legit to quit! |

Boss, thank God for safe landing.... Pls, how can I apply for MBA , if possible or PGD at U of Calgary? I hold HND insurance, working in an insurance company presently... 1. yñ things and gave me cad at 1.24 rate (Bank of Canada rate) to pay my landlady. Paid for my lunch, dash me pillow, etc. I am yet to pay my landlady cos she agreed I pay on arrival and She hasn't come but I'm already in the room . Talk of God's favor! I've seen some part of my school (UofCalgary). Multiple storey-buildings in a beautiful well laid-out environment I must say. Calgary is truly beautiful and people are friendly when they bumped into each other. Bicycle riders and walkers are more powewrful on the road than Carriders. By the way, I'm yet to see a police officer or Police station on the street of Calgary. Is it that they don't have ni or what? This is my next question for my nigerian family here. To end it all, have you been refused admission or student Visa and you feel overwhelmed and like quiting? Dont be. Learn from your mistakes, Read and Repackage! Few Nigerians I've chatted with here, including myself, faced similar things but didn't |

Mabs16: Boss, I hold ND and HND in insurance and I've had one year industrial attachment in an insurance broking firm. I applied for BBA General Management at Mount Royal University, Canada, paid part tuition fee. But embassy rejected my 2nd study permit app on d ground of purpose of visit. The officer also stated that " My proposed program is not reasonable in light of one or more of my previous educational qualifications, previous employment or future plan" My future plan is to come back to Nigeria, gain practical experience in Insurance broking n underwriting and in the long run establish my own broking firm.
Pls, what's ur suggestion on d best way to respond to these concern raised in my 3rd app?
Meanwhile, I just got an Underwriting job with an insurance company, can this be a plus to my next app against fall, 2018.

Thanks bro, Rocorleone: If your selected course duration is over 2 years and you are sure it is in line with your practical experience then I'd say you need to look into your SOP. Another thing is to be sure you have a strong home-tie. It is just words telling them you'll come back. I understand. But let there be proof to that too, so you'd be seen as crystal clear as your app. I hope you got insight from this |

Thanx boss princeadedayo: Hi,
Can I advice you try to get a Bachelors of Science in insurance or Bachelors of business adminsitartion and a concentration in Insurance.
I feel the officer sees that BBa General Managmebt is very different from Insurance which is true. So I think that's where the V.O concern is, and as you said u have been in the Insurance line and now u have an underwriting Job. You need to get or look for that Insurance degree or concentration or similar fields like actuarial science which you can link to Insurance
My little advice, hope this helps
Cheers |

Confirmed. Osemigho: For everyone, Limit on GTB naira MasterCard had been increased to $1,000 from $100. Your GTB naira MasterCard can pay for any Canada application now. You don't need a domiciliary account or anybody's help to pay. Just use your GTB naira MasterCard. .
