Did you just update your phone?

dasphinx1:
Is the thread really helping? Same thread that has grown in leaps and bounds? Same thread that has helped and solved countless issues as regards Xiaomi devices? Same thread that has openned countless eyes in Nigeria to Xiaomi? Same thread that peeps had to stop adverts just so that we can maintain a definite line of focus? With all the help and assistance that has been passed on here? This same thread? Hmmmm.......

Go to phone settings - mi Account - sign out.

It's always advisable you do your factory reset Thru the settings option, rather than hard reset. At that point, u will be asked Ur mi login details, n if there is any issue, you can sharperly detect n do the recovery ish before doing the reset.

lovelani:
Go to all emails you feel you might have used, and type Mi in the search box of the emails , it should bring forth any email that relates to Mi/micloud. Also make sure you check all spam box.... Leave those email opened and go send the forgot password again .

I hope you get it sorted .

optimised:
While it's good to do research & explore possibilities and make new discoveries: I'll suggest, acquire such items only from sources that can offer you (& by extension, your clients) warranties to avoid rude shock at lest unexpected times.
Best regards.

Holuwaxheun:
For the record, there is no way u can factory reset that phone without it requesting for your Mi account login. I have done factory rerset on my Xiaomi before, and everytime i tried doing that, my mi account details is always being requested. The qst now is, how did u factory reset the phone?

ladiesreject:
Smiles.

i bought it brand new, 24th of August 2018.

Truth is, i didn't really take this mi cloud thing seriously, cos i just believed they're not Apple.

The phone keeps showing me low memory that's why i just decided to format it as i don't really like the idea of using a memory card.

i remember activating this mi cloud something once, but i didn't really care to copy or save the number cos i just believe since its mine, i wont have a problem unlocking it.

Am trying to contact the seller on aliexpress if something can be done.
