skultrick: It is important to go to their office and clarify things because I am more confused after checking my tariff from their website.
It shows that I am actually in Band C but I bought light of 11k today and only got 22units.
Moreover, my outstanding is still saying 141k.
So where has all the money been going to if they are not deducting it.
First thing tomorrow I will be in their office pr better still go to the head office in wuse zone 4.
These guys are noting but thieves Omoh! 22units for 11k on band C? That is madness. Something must be wrong with these guys. My details from this website shows 19k+, but it has been 19k since I moved into this apartment 2yrs ago. So I assumed that information is not being updated. Tomorrow morning, I'm at their office. |

skultrick: I used buypower and they sent me a mail which I uploaded here. If you look at the receipt they sent, 464 naira was deducted.
Actually, this is a new meter in a new house. But before they brought the meter we used light for 4 months or so without paying. So they billed each apartment 141k outstanding. I just used buypower now and confirmed they took deducted about 50% as debt. But then, I have no debt in my metre. I checked a previous transaction and realized I e offset the debt for a long time now. So AEDC is just stealing from me. Below is a 2023 bill and it stated outstanding debt is #0 AEDC ARE THIEVES

There are lots of treeshade mechanics up North and at Oyinbo rebuilding Honda engines without issues. And yes I have Honda rebuild manual and an all data software. I still maintain that our major problem in this part of the world is availability of good and genuine parts (availability of tools apart because one can improvise for it). In the bold part, you just mentioned two big reasons why what I said is very correct. I don't understand what you are still crying about. And talking about improvising, it never gives you the best and there are things you just can't improvise. So I stand strongly by what I said. |

Looking at the images attached, does my car consume fuel, because I no even understand the consumption thing and the calculation. From Egbeda to VI, Monday to Friday (Movement is between 5.30am and 4pm), I buy around 60k + fuel every week for my 2007 Honda Accord 4 plugs (with 4 passengers on both trips and without AC)
This morning just before leaving the house, I reset the TRIP A and TRIB B on the odometer to zero and also the Trip computer in the cars Navigation screen to zero. When I got to VI, the Odometer is showing 24.7 but the Trip computer is showing 40.4km.....why is there disparity in the trip calculator?
Also, is the car consuming fuel? Please help me understand the TRIP A and B meaning
After scanning the car, the only error code is the radiator thermostat.
Please help. 24.7miles 40.4kilometres ... When you yanked out your thermostat, what were you expecting? |

Cryomancer: In my own opinion, old Honda keys are averagely secured due to the average level of anti theft technology embedded in it compared to its counterparts.
I have had first hand experience with the usage one Honda key to open several same Honda vehicles but cannot start the car makes the security be average in my ratings. Because even though the whole car cannot be stolen, other components of the car can be dismantled and removed due to this flaw in their key security. Ok. Let me explain something to you... First, I can bet my balls that no Honda key can open my car except my key. Some never-do-wells have actually tried opening my car on two occasions but failed. Honda cars keys are actually high security keys, much more secure than Toyota keys. I won't explain why that is, but I can explain why you had such experience. Most of those cars are more than 15yrs old. Over the years, there is wear and tear on both the key blande and the lock pins. As the pins wear out, they no longer fit tightly in their location and tends to fail. The failure can come in two ways. Either it allows more keys to open it, or it fails to unlock even with the correct (old) key. When it starts getting difficult to unlock with the correct keys, most Nigerian locksmith, instead of doing a proper fix, they go and file down the worn out pins or even remove them entirely. This further worsens the situation. The pins are the security guards. Removing even one is an abomination. What I do to maintain my key security (which I advice anyone reading this to do): Whenever I buy a new Honda, I order a new keyblade (or the whole key) from AliExpress. I send them a clear picture of my old key and pay for key cutting service. In my experience, they analyze the picture, decipher the key code, and then cut a perfect key. This is much easier if you already have the key code. There's a good chance that this new perfect key might have a problem opening your car door or turning the ignition because your keyhole is already worn. Try it on less frequently used keyholes on your car, like the glove compartment, the rear seat fold release or the trunk pass through. If it works, then comes the second step. I order for Hon66 lock pins from AliExpress. Then I tear down the door and bring out the key cylinder. I tear this down further to bring out all the worn out lock pins. Then I repin them to exactly match my new key. I also do this to the ignition hole as it is the most used keyhole and most worn out. This brings back the security of your key as Honda intended it. All these might sound complicated to the average Nigerian car owner, but remember this is a security issue, it is NOT supposed to be easy. If you can not do this and can not get your locksmith to do it, then don't blame Honda when 5 different keys open your car.

The issue is actually weird. Bros, you have a very weird problem. Most weird problem are electrical. You can not rule anything out at this point cos anything can be the problem. I hope you do not have an ECU problem. Just keep your options open. How do you know you do not have an electrical issue whatsoever? How do you know your wiring harness is intact? DarkRider I just studied the fan circuit diagram below and realized the ECU DOES NOT provide 12v to your fan to work. Your electrician is obviously an olodo. Looking at the part circled in blue (for 05-06) and red (03-04), the ECU or fan switch only supplies GROUND for the fan relay to work. Without the ground, it won't work. You can see that in 03-04, the part the ECU will play was replaced by the fan switch. This means that if identify that green wire to the ECU and direct it to the fan switch of the 03-04 radiator as shown in the diagram, your fan will work perfectly. But before you do that, check for continuity between the radiator fan relay no. 4 pin to the ECU 31pin connector (wire side). There should be continuity. Also check for continuity of same relay pin to ground when the fan is supposed to be on. There should be continuity when the fan is supposed to be on, if there isn't, then check the ECU fan control pin continuity to ground when the fan should be on. I hope all these make sense to you.
And for those who claim their fan works without ect2, looking at the circuit diagram, there's no ect2 anywhere in the circuit. So I wonder how your ect2 magically took over the control.

DarkRider: I'd like to say good work. I read your posts and they're always helpful.
I'm trying to get fuel consumption down on my Nigerian used 05 accord. Fans came connected directly and my first course of action was to rectify that. Turns out whoever made that modification didn't bend the leg of the fan relay. After returning it to factory, the ecu doesn't send the required 12 volts to turn on the fans when the temperature rises. I traced the wiring harness from the fusebox to the ECU and there's no break in the wire that handles that function.
Took it to a rewire, he tried turning on the fans with his scan tool. Scan shows on but no response from the fans. His recommendation is an ECU replacement.
I'm considering installing a fan switch on the radiator to control the fan relay as changing ECU will be expensive and might possibly come with immobiliser and key problems. Your knowledge and experience will be appreciated. Thanks Hmmm. This one strong. When you said the ECU doesn't send the required voltage, did you test for 12v on the designated ECU pin? Somehow, I still feel there's something you guys are missing. The chance of your ECU being the problem is very slim, but it is still very possible. I once had an issue that made me replace my transmission, eventually it was found that it was the ECU. Air conditioner water found it's way to the ECU. But I didn't replace the ECU. I just had it worked on and everything came back to normal. Why not try fixing the ECU before going to outright replacement? And if you want to go the route of fan switch, I thought of something that could work. You could get the radiator from 03-04 model. It comes with a fan switch, not ECT 2. A good electrician can make that work by looking for power source controlled by your ignition key and then any available ground. The fan switch is just an open-close switch that works with change of temperature and nothing else. It will definitely work. But since your ECU is no longer receiving input from your absent ect2, I don't really know how that will affect your fuel efficiency. Will you actually ever enter closed loop? I really don't know. Added to the fact that you will forever have check engine light for the missing ect2. I suggest you try another experienced electrician for a better advice. |
