Supporters of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), have proposed a joint presidential ticket pairing Peter Obi with Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking on behalf of the support groups in Kano on Friday, Abba Sadauki Gwale said the proposal reflects the desire of Kwankwaso loyalists to support an alliance capable of rescuing Nigeria from its current challenges.

Gwale said the Obi–Kwankwaso ticket could emerge under any political platform, stressing that the current political trajectory shows a clear shift in public sentiment.

“If the duo gets a chance in the upcoming election, Nigeria will be a better place. We are tired of insecurity, hunger and starvation,” he said.

According to him, the proposed alliance is aimed at uniting Obi’s strong support base in the South with Kwankwaso’s formidable following in the North, creating a broad national coalition capable of challenging the ruling party.

Gwale said the partnership is driven by a shared ambition to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress and its leader, Bola Tinubu, and to deliver meaningful change for Nigerians.

He added that both Obi and Kwankwaso have consistently emphasised policies focused on improving the welfare of ordinary Nigerians, noting that their message of hope and reform is resonating widely.

If only Kwankwaso dropped his pride and viced Peter Obi in 2023, by now he would have been in Aso Rock.

Our political leaders know many Nigerians lack critical thoughts and obviously take advantage of the masses in dis regard to peddle false narrative. The question should be did the National Assembly ban e-transmission of results? The answer is capital NO but real time because there is no penetration of Internet in many parts of our remote villages across the states except Lagos and Abuja.The National Assembly will reconvene today and come out in clear terms concerning E-transmission of results.

One thing I hate in this life is ignorant people coming to defend what is above their IQ. This your empty argument has fallen like pack of cards. One smart dude even did a calculation of what it will cost INEC to have starling network in all the pooling units in the country and found out that it will only cost about 6% of INEC budget assuming the entire country is on internet blackout which is not.

Secondly, let those result be transmitted real time from polling units so that It will already be in the system, when the device picks a network, it will automatically upload, that way crooks and their supporters will have no access to even if they decide to steal and mutilate the result sheets.
Uploading results real time will naturally kill ballot box snatching and thugs while be decimated from our electoral process

Is this law we are talking about only for Presidential elections? You see that sentiment and hate for Obi is beclouding your true sense of reasoning. We are talking about strengthing our electoral laws for all elections.

One thing you people don't know is that this law if it comes into effect, will automatically solve the problem of ballot snatching and remove those things from our electoral process.

The problem with low thinking people is I think the mandatory transmission of results is only for the presidential election, you people forgot there are other elections, you people also forgot Nigeria will go beyond 2027. There will be both Presidential and other elections in 2031 so it will give the people the chance to vote whom they exactly wanted.
