Source of fund won't reflect, Just your name, passport details, amount blocked and bank details like IBAN, BIC e.t.c. It doesn't matter how the money was gotten into the account all you need to do is get the required money

Hello house, please I need to clarify some things I'm unable to sort out myself. If one intends to fund via blue market (ie money sourced abroad)... hope all the sender's information will not reflect on my Fintiba confirmation print out if I'm funding in batches due to difficulties in getting the whole funds at once via the blue market.
I don't really know how the confirmation slip looks like. Please for those who know, kindly help me out so I decide my next line of action. Also.. I hope there wouldn't be any clarification issues with accessing my funds in Germany too.

This might sound like a dumb question to some "Donald Trump" gurus in house but I don't mind taking painful insults to see clearly cos I'm still learning.

Thanks for your candid response.

Sure... That one is already a red flag on it's own.

thanks I really appreciate your reply here. Well my own is official transcript. I even have the students you are talking about but not signed from the school registrar. Well I only submit the official transcript that's been signed by the registrar. Thanks for more clarification. God bless you.
Oh that's great.
You welcome nro

please sorry to coming in here. Pls is the official transcript you are talking looks like certificate niiii. Or signed copy. Please the student copy also how did it looks like. Cos in my school unilorin they gave us certificate with the transcript too. The colour of mine is coloured and signed too by the university registrar. I still need more explanation on the student copy transcript you are talking about thanks.
Students copy is the one I got from my lecturer but it doesn't have any signature on it. What I mean by official copy is one that has the signatory of the Registrar on it including the school's Stamp. That's all bro.

Thanks a lot. Another thing I want to ask is this, my university sends transcript to the school for Msc, so imagine I want to apply to many schools, does it mean my university would be sending it to them one after the other? My school is in Osun state, and I'm based in Lagos. This thing has got me thinking a lot and I'm wondering if there is a way I can have a hard copy of my transcript. I dont think thats possible. Can anybody advise what to do on this?

Well.. I got an official copy of my transcripts last Friday cos I've been using students copy for my application and wasn't sure if the German Consulate will accept such.
This is what I did to get my official hard copy transcript.
I called my school's Registry unit, told them I needed my transcript sent to a Firm(name withheld) in Lagos and told them it's very urgent plus I have a deadline to do so. The Firm's CSR is my friend and I already told about my plan before calling my Uni.

The Registrar sent me the schools account details and told me to pay in my name which I did asap and sent him my payment details plus the address of the company and the department I wanted it directed to.
3 days later, I got my transcripts without even wasting T fare to Uni again.

So if you have any relative/friend working in a Firm which has a close proximity to your house, just discuss this with him/her. I hope this helps

Given the current situation at the embassy, I would book my interview with a farther enrollment deadline. You can make your choice later. Trier it would be for me though although Jena is quite cheap.
Thanks alot for your response man. I guess I'm on the right track. Danke

In case there's anyone in Germany who is willing to sell Euros(8750), please let me know so we can discuss about it. The banks in Nigeria aren't helping matters at all.

@Made123
I really don't understand what is it that you want or waiting for.

Why don't you go ahead with Trier then.
Residency Extension is after you must have gotten a student VISA, which you are yet to get.

So my advice for you is;
Use any of those A.L with the Enrolment Deadline Date closest to the Embassy's specified date (17.11.2017) to book an appointment if you've not yet book because you don't have much tym to waste. Except you would like to defer your admission till next year.

And stop waiting for someone to tell you what to do when you already know the next thing to do.

Thanks for your response. I have already booked an appointment and gotten a date. Please don't mind my ignorance.... What I really intend to ask is which of the cities do request for 8640€ to extend one's study permit after one year.

For your fintiba account documents, send the one that contains your account details i.e your account number, IBAN etc to the embassy. That was what i used for mine.

The name of the pdf document is "make the transfer" in case you are still unable to locate the right one

Your inability to provide your primary school leaving certificate will in no way deter your chances of being granted a visa. It has no consequence whatsoever. In most cases, they won't even ask you. However, be sure you have your secondary school certificates and WASSCE results intact.
However, endeavour to get every other thing.

Please I will like to know your views about this.
I been admitted to Uni Trier and Jena for Msc Economics but I'm yet to choose which route to follow in view of my interview appointment which is fast approaching. I have looked into the study curriculum of both unis which is really good and suites my career path but I have little knowledge about the residency extension in both cities. As for job prospects, I know Trier is better off than Jena with the infos I got from the thread.
I will have opted for Uni Hohenhiem in Stuttgart where I also got admitted but the 1500€ per semester is already a road block for me. I also waiting to hear from Fau Erlangen-Nuremberg

That shld enough if u can be recognized in d pics nd it is actually a pics dat looks as old as your claim. Note that the embassy will also do their verification dats what the visa fee is for. A friend had a similar case but she contacted d director personally. Thank God he was still alive.
I'm almost in same shoes cos my primary school cert. is partly burnt
@EvajayThanks for throwing more light on this issue
I also intend to ask about this.... What if one has a different name in his birth certificate, bsc certificate and international passport; hope it wouldn't raise any issues during interview
for example
Ciroma Oluwatobi Oshodi- Int. passport/Drivers L
Ciroma Tobi Oshodi-Birth Cert/ IELTS
Ciromako Oluwatobiloba Oshodi- Bsc Cert/Baptism Cert

Make The Transfer!!!
@donkafor... Please do you know of any bank still accepts form A for tuition/living expenses. My bank(GTB) refused to process mine and told me it can only be transferred to the Uni's account, despite showing them an invoice from the school. With the look of things.. blue market is the only alternative which is not that easy to get.

Banks in Nigeria are not helping matters at all. How can a bank be charging more(428.66) than black market rate.

makinzwurld:

Hi. I just sent you a PM. Kindly respond with a fresh mail and not by replying the PM, so I can get your message. Thanks.

BTW, I've been told by these banks you mentioned that form A is no longer used for payments being made into an account that's not in the name of an institution like a school (for school fees) or a hospital (for medical bills) or any other institutions of such sort.

Up until April 2017 form A was possible. But I doubt it is now. They claim CBN just released a new policy to this effect. Since the blocked accounts (both DB and Fintiba) are in our names, it makes it almost impossible to use FORM A now.

Please if anyone has funded recently (this month of July) in a cheap way other than FORM A, kindly just let us know. Please please and please! Thanks in advance.
This was the same response I got from GTB headquarters. I was even about to debate on this and the staff showed me the new directive which has been imposed by CBN. I even showed the staff an invoice from the school but she insisted that I get an invoice which contains the schools account details and not mine in order to transfer the funds.
Now I'm left with no choice that to source funds from black market which will definitely have a higher transfer charge of 2% compared to the form A.

Please any one who has funded at a cheaper rate shld help out.

Shalom
Nawa o. Zenith bank!!! I was even complaining when GTB said 414 and now I'm hearing this. May God help us

Maybe am not so sure of what I heard from the "TITI* lady dat day, I asked her for 3 times, she called Lagos branch to confirm or something and the man said same. But without the invoice, they cant bid and hence dey can't accept my application.

Cbn seems to subsidize school fees.

I stand to be corrected anyway.

Make I get the invoice first, what ever rate it is, it will be d cheapest thereis.

Diamond said 400. All of them dey use am make gain. Na Dia way.
I can agree with the rate of Diamond bank but another thing one must consider is the processing time. Make sure you confirm from those who have used Diamond bank Form A to avoid stories that touch. Safe.

You don't need to show telex copy. If DB has confirmed your deposit before the interview, use only this confirmation, else tell VO you have funded, but awaiting confirmation.

Okay.. I think it's much better to reply the VO with the latter. 'awaiting confirmation'. Thanks brother.

School not embassy.
I dnt know how the invoice will look like but the one I got from an Australian school, it's just a letter head with break down on ur tuition fee.
If ur school can provide dat for u, u re good for Form A.

I really wish ppl who used that form A to come explain how the stuff will look like cos Zenith bank form A is 347 as of yesterday.
Brother, are you sure you aren't talking about dollars here cos no bank in Nigeria will process form A wilth such rate presently. I went to GTB head branch last week to ask about form A and the lady I met at the personal banking platform told me it could be done around the rate of 413-414. I was so shocked because I had checked the black market rate that same day and Euro was sold at 414 too. In fact, I was surprised when I asked the lady if I could buy Euros from black market to fund my blocked account. She told me that the funds has to be deposited into my GTB Euro account as an inflow and not "cash deposit" in order for the transfer to be effected, due to a new policy introduced by GTB.
I don't know if this directive cuts across all banks or just GTB because it's really not helping matters at all.

Now this question runs through my mind.... With all these FX issues affecting funding in Nigeria, what if one decides to fund his blocked account from a source outside Nigeria? How will he explain to the VO when asked who his sponsor is because the name that transferred the fund abroad (as shown on the telex copy/ funding confirmation slip) will definitely be different from the name written as his Sponsor.

You must think survival first. Forget ranking in Germany. Yes, there are Ivy-league like Unis..e.g TU9s...but at the end of the day...that means little to nothing.

Talk to somebody in Jena, if you can, and decide. Viel Glück!
Thanks for your suggestions bro. I will look into that. Hoping to find an active member in the thread who resides in Jena. But if I may cheap this in, please could you help me rank these 4 states in terms of job prospects, residency extension and semester ticket (not really important I guess)
Jena
Siegen
Erlangen-Nuremberg
Trier
I will also appreciate if guru's in the house can help out too as it could benefit others who also applied to schools in the locations above.

Thanks

Wow. Congratulations. I applied to uni Jena too but MSc molecular medicine, yet to hear from themselves, although I already got admitted into Uni Potsdam MSc Toxicology, am really looking forward to Jena.

All the best once again
That's cool. I am also very much interested with Uni Jena but the little info I read about the city on this thread is quite discouraging. I learnt it is very tough to get a part time job unless one has a solid knowledge of German language. Although I'm still weighing my options cos the school is highly ranked in Germany compared to Trier uni which I have also been admitted to. More so, I read a post on this thread which stated that Trier is a border town with a bad semester ticket and a short residency extension for international students. I just pray that God will direct our parts in making the right choice because our human instinct has its limitations (Genesis 13:10)
