Hello house, please I need to clarify some things I'm unable to sort out myself. If one intends to fund via blue market (ie money sourced abroad)... hope all the sender's information will not reflect on my Fintiba confirmation print out if I'm funding in batches due to difficulties in getting the whole funds at once via the blue market. I don't really know how the confirmation slip looks like. Please for those who know, kindly help me out so I decide my next line of action. Also.. I hope there wouldn't be any clarification issues with accessing my funds in Germany too. This might sound like a dumb question to some "Donald Trump" gurus in house but I don't mind taking painful insults to see clearly cos I'm still learning. Thanks for your candid response. |

Johnnyessence:Students copy is the one I got from my lecturer but it doesn't have any signature on it. What I mean by official copy is one that has the signatory of the Registrar on it including the school's Stamp. That's all bro. 3 Likes |

May5ive: Well.. I got an official copy of my transcripts last Friday cos I've been using students copy for my application and wasn't sure if the German Consulate will accept such. This is what I did to get my official hard copy transcript. I called my school's Registry unit, told them I needed my transcript sent to a Firm(name withheld) in Lagos and told them it's very urgent plus I have a deadline to do so. The Firm's CSR is my friend and I already told about my plan before calling my Uni. The Registrar sent me the schools account details and told me to pay in my name which I did asap and sent him my payment details plus the address of the company and the department I wanted it directed to. 3 days later, I got my transcripts without even wasting T fare to Uni again. So if you have any relative/friend working in a Firm which has a close proximity to your house, just discuss this with him/her. I hope this helps 5 Likes |

In case there's anyone in Germany who is willing to sell Euros(8750), please let me know so we can discuss about it. The banks in Nigeria aren't helping matters at all. |

Eke40seven:cc honourableseyi, Eke40seven Please I will like to know your views about this. I been admitted to Uni Trier and Jena for Msc Economics but I'm yet to choose which route to follow in view of my interview appointment which is fast approaching. I have looked into the study curriculum of both unis which is really good and suites my career path but I have little knowledge about the residency extension in both cities. As for job prospects, I know Trier is better off than Jena with the infos I got from the thread. I will have opted for Uni Hohenhiem in Stuttgart where I also got admitted but the 1500€ per semester is already a road block for me. I also waiting to hear from Fau Erlangen-Nuremberg |

donkafor:@donkafor... Please do you know of any bank still accepts form A for tuition/living expenses. My bank(GTB) refused to process mine and told me it can only be transferred to the Uni's account, despite showing them an invoice from the school. With the look of things.. blue market is the only alternative which is not that easy to get. |

Banks in Nigeria are not helping matters at all. How can a bank be charging more(428.66) than black market rate. |
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Made123: 10:59am On Jul 20, 2017 |
makinzwurld:This was the same response I got from GTB headquarters. I was even about to debate on this and the staff showed me the new directive which has been imposed by CBN. I even showed the staff an invoice from the school but she insisted that I get an invoice which contains the schools account details and not mine in order to transfer the funds. Now I'm left with no choice that to source funds from black market which will definitely have a higher transfer charge of 2% compared to the form A. |

[quote author=Mrbigman1 post=58371824] Pls what banks seem to be d fastest? I don't have an idea about this bro. Although I once used Ecobank Form A last year and it took exactly two weeks. |
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Made123: 8:09am On Jul 12, 2017 |
Mrbigman1:I can agree with the rate of Diamond bank but another thing one must consider is the processing time. Make sure you confirm from those who have used Diamond bank Form A to avoid stories that touch. Safe. |

Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Made123: 11:40pm On Jul 11, 2017 |
Mrbigman1:Brother, are you sure you aren't talking about dollars here cos no bank in Nigeria will process form A wilth such rate presently. I went to GTB head branch last week to ask about form A and the lady I met at the personal banking platform told me it could be done around the rate of 413-414. I was so shocked because I had checked the black market rate that same day and Euro was sold at 414 too. In fact, I was surprised when I asked the lady if I could buy Euros from black market to fund my blocked account. She told me that the funds has to be deposited into my GTB Euro account as an inflow and not "cash deposit" in order for the transfer to be effected, due to a new policy introduced by GTB. I don't know if this directive cuts across all banks or just GTB because it's really not helping matters at all. Now this question runs through my mind.... With all these FX issues affecting funding in Nigeria, what if one decides to fund his blocked account from a source outside Nigeria? How will he explain to the VO when asked who his sponsor is because the name that transferred the fund abroad (as shown on the telex copy/ funding confirmation slip) will definitely be different from the name written as his Sponsor. |

UncleJudax:Thanks for your suggestions bro. I will look into that. Hoping to find an active member in the thread who resides in Jena. But if I may cheap this in, please could you help me rank these 4 states in terms of job prospects, residency extension and semester ticket (not really important I guess) Jena Siegen Erlangen-Nuremberg Trier I will also appreciate if guru's in the house can help out too as it could benefit others who also applied to schools in the locations above. Thanks |

Zodka:That's cool. I am also very much interested with Uni Jena but the little info I read about the city on this thread is quite discouraging. I learnt it is very tough to get a part time job unless one has a solid knowledge of German language. Although I'm still weighing my options cos the school is highly ranked in Germany compared to Trier uni which I have also been admitted to. More so, I read a post on this thread which stated that Trier is a border town with a bad semester ticket and a short residency extension for international students. I just pray that God will direct our parts in making the right choice because our human instinct has its limitations (Genesis 13:10) 2 Likes |
