Seun, Kindly delete this post. It is a mockery of our national being. Not at this time when the nation is going through a tensed mommet. |
Look for contacts, connections and personal links with your MD/CEO associates (particularly those with strong ties to companies you intend to move to with your descipline in future) but not their sympathy because they are always loyal to your boss first before you. Build up yourself as an HR executive because in most small and growing firms PA's also double as HR officers in duties, perhaps not in title and without additional pay. Maximize every outing and meeting with other business associates, media persons, sister companies and clients and visiting CEOs/Executives as you plan for usual meetings and do not forget to develop any necessary skills that may boost your technical understanding of the secor you find yourself working though you are a PA such that you would not be lost in their technical jargons and feel left out. Enjoy your job! |
Thanks for the inquisition RoughCut, kindly contact me via my given email if you are still interested. |

Ogonge you may have to read this to know how to monitor your stockposition online Check this posting https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=58129.msg1179284#msg1179284 ICT AND NIGERIAN CAPITAL MARKET TIPS (1) HOW TO ACCESS/MONITOR YOUR STOCK ACCOUNT ONLINE The optimization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the Nigerian capital market by regulatory bodies and stockbroking firms has led to several possibilities which are yet to be fully embraced by existing and prospective investors. It is worthy to note that the process of opening a stock dealing account with a stockbroking firm/CSCS is being done electronically. Stock trading in most investment houses is presently done online and real time while sell/purchase mandates from clients are taken via GSM/SMS, emails or through the traditional mandate forms. Investors can now monitor their stock account themselves on the internet or opt for the SMS option via trade alert. Find below three simple steps need to gain access to your stock position online: 1. Open an individual or corporate stockbroking account with a listed stockbroking firm and obtain your CSCS Clearing House Number (CHN). 2. Register as a new user on CSCS website using your CHN. < http://www.cscsnigeria.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=new_user> 3. Fill out CSCS Online Access form and submit to CSCS through your stockbroking firm. For further information to contact: made@madeonlineng.com |
Do you have a photocopy of the filled Public Offer form you used and a form of receipt for the purchase. That is essential in order to get you another certificate if your stockbroker offer such anciliary service. Regards. |
DEAR FIRENDS, The form you are all trying to access on CSCS web site is one that would enable you to monitor your stock position online (see https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=58129.msg1179284#msg1179284). To get the CSCS house number which would be required before you can have an online access or be able to complete the online forms you are filling you would need to open an account with a stockbroker who will in turn give you your CHN number before you can fill out that CSCS online access form. Different stockbroking firms have basic requirements for account opening, ranging from minimum cash deposit of certain amount to legal instruments/agreements. However, the SEC regualtion demands that you know your customer by a means of identification and your internal control KYC/Know your client form. However with the advent of technology in capital Market Operations, all those paper works are now reduced and CSCS is presently using only soft copies of entry data and cover letter from brokers to open accounts. There is no alternative to KYC though and our Marketing Unit give personalissed servcies to our client to get all the KYC requirements subsequently. Account opening ideally should be and its processing takes 2 - 3 working days. I hope this piece sheds more light on your enquiry. Further information is available via email (made@madeonlineng.com) or text message to 08056259633 .Please kindly indicate your emails in all text messages should you require a feedback. Regards. |

Geologists in the house. I just had a lenghty discussion with (allyagakwu@yahoo.com) online over our proposed networking for career development and economic empowerment as colleagues. We both agreed that we need to collate the email addresses of all Geologists interested in networking opportunity through this medium. Suggestions and counter suggestions from other colleagues are welcome. In the interim, I suggest that all interested nairalanders who are geologists could make their emails known in this thread. We are working towards achieving a depository for geoscience CVs online and many other attainable issues. A comprehensive, realistic and time-framed action plan for the newtworks would be published after those who make their emails public for online brain storming and collaboration meet on a date to be agreed in future. Looking forwward to your comments and contributions. made_ng@yahoo.com |

I am not a CSCS staff. I went through the form myself and discovered you ought to have submitted the form through your stockbroking firm. If you had, you could have monitored the activitaion of your log in through your broker. It is not too late though , you could get a copy of the from and resubmit through your broker with a teller. Best of luck! |
Glad tofraternise with fellow Geologists. It is a great idea. I have constant internet access on work days and would be glad to collaborate on any good idea. Let us start by asking Seun to give us a space for Geologists on this site if possible. Well, I have limited experience in Engineering geology having worked on 12 Grade A projects in 13 states of the Federation within 4 months as supervisor and project officer. I must state that Engineering Geology is a field where a young geologist can start small. However there are challenges of getting the first jobs/projects especially if one does not have the contacts. I suggest we look at ways of collaborating to work on small jobs together and those on big projects could employ others on contract basis under them. I would forever be grateful to a senior colleague who once employed me on a contract basic to work on a small geophysical investigation job (howbeit that i worked for free). The experience I gained there was to open ways for me in the geotechnical firm where I worked briefly before setting on the move. I look forward to more gainful employment, particularly in the oil and gas industry, and i know we could all give one or two ideas or information that would lift us all up. Thanks. YEMI |

Do your feasibilty study first. the cost of power generation in the village would be a burden but you can get around it by scheduling time for operation depending on the needs of your customers for instance early in the morning and evenings the Generator must be on, or as applicable in your side. Also approach government agencies and corporate firms around your village and so elite email sending and receiving services for them through your cafe. You could have pigeon holes for them in your cafe if they are a distance away. So many ideas. Ihad worked on one before but I could not finish the study since work posting got me out of the village in which i wanted to site one. |
