You really sound like somebody who knows what he is doing.
I would love to learn more but I don't have a whatsapp-able phone right now. So how do we go from here?

Princedapace:

That is the problem with us here in this part of the world.

Now let me burst ur head small. To reach the level I reach, I have spent a lot of money and sleepless nights learning, failing and improving bro.

Knowledge is not cheap bro. U know in this part of the world, we really think knowledge is cheap. It is not. I am a member of an Upwork group on facebook where 99% of the members are whites, mainly from USA, Canada, UK and Australia.

The owner of that group is a top rated seller in Upwork with many success stories in upwork. I know how much she charges for her training.

The whites who enroll for it are glad to do so. She collects as high as $100 for her training. And she teaches basic things. Whites know the importance of knowledge and they appreciate it.

But here, I can understand that things are hard for many people, but what I dont like is how most of us here dont appreciate knownledge and we think it is cheap.

Now, just last week, I spent 5k to buy data bundle just to download videos for some courses I paid for online. That is not even the money I paid for the courses. I still had to buy data to download the videos I paid for. I didnt want to use the data I usually buy for my work online.

If i calculate how much I have spent to learn and keep improving on my skills within the past two years, what i charge is justifiable.

Also, 8k is nothing compare to what u can earn online. U said if u earn 8k from Nigerians, why would u work online? My brother, how many people are even ready to pay for ur training in Nigeria?

So forget it. U cant compare what u will earn online. I did a job for a client which didnt take me up to 3 hours and he paid $200 few days ago. Abeg, how many 8k will give u $200?

Training is even stressful. U get to talk and talk, and explain and explain. My brother, if dont want to pay for training, or u think it is too high, u simply leave it, dont make degrading comments about knowledge.

A client paid $1500 for a training course for me online. He is an American, he paid for Tailopez trainings. You can google about the guy. He paid for that course so that I can learn and impact on his company I work for remotely. Whites value knowledge and that is why they are doing better than us.

The dramatic ruined Dunnottar Castle in Stonehaven, Scotland, doesn't score quite as highly as some of the others on the perch-o-meter, but still, building it must have been treacherous. The world's most precariously placed buildings, from cliff-edge towns to monasteries perched on rocky columns
Many precariously placed buildings have stood on the same spots for hundreds, even thousands of years
The Hanging Temple of Shanxi was built into a cliff face in China and has survived more than 1,400 years
Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe chapel in France is perched on a volcanic plug and was built over 1,000 years ago
The historic town of Bonifacio, a former fortress, in Corsica almost dangles off the edge of a limestone cliff

If you don’t have a head for heights, these pictures might give you sweaty palms.

That’s because they show some of the world’s most precariously perched structures – monasteries, temples, churches, castles and houses placed on rocky outcrops and cliff edges by builders with nerves of steel.

Some are so inaccessible that only those with a jet pack or serious rock climbing skills can visit.

Amazingly, some of the buildings featured here have stood strong in the same place for hundreds and even thousands of years, despite their seemingly hazardous locations.

One of the oldest most precariously perched buildings is the Hanging Temple of Shanxi, which was built into a cliff face in China in 491.

Other surely-that's-not-safe structures include the chapel of Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe near Le Puy-en-Velay, in southern France, which is built on a volcanic plug, and the Monastery of the Holy Trinity perched high on top of a rock in Meteora in central Greece. Scroll down – and hold on!

1. The chapel of Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe near Le Puy-en-Velay, in southern France. The building is over 1,000 years old and stands on a volcanic plug 280 feet tall. The chapel can be reached by climbing 268 steps carved into the rock

2. Behold this incredible church, which stands on top of the 130ft-high Katskhi Pillar in Georgia. For centuries locals could only look up at the mysterious ruins at its summit. Finally, in 1944, a group led by the mountaineer Alexander Japaridze made the first documented ascent of the pillar and discovered the remains of the chapel. Only those who are invited are allowed to scale the rock to reach the top

3. Meteora in central Greece is home to several stunning, precariously perched monasteries. This one, The Monastery of the Holy Trinity, was built in 1392 and featured in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only. It can be accessed via 140 steps

4. The stunning historic town of Bonifacio in Corsica goes right to the edge of a limestone cliff. The best way to approach it is by boat - it's a jaw-dropping experience

Lee initially hid his condition, even from colleagues, with the help of make-up, before it spread over his hands, making covering up impossible

For many people whose career revolves, at least in part, around their appearance, being diagnosed with a condition like vitiligo could feel like a death sentence as far as future success is concerned.

But for Emmy Award-winning WJBK Fox 2 News reporter Lee Thomas, 50, being told he had the skin condition simply pushed him to achieve even greater on-screen success, after he vowed not to let it get in the way of his dreams.

Lee was only 25 years old when he first discovered a light spot of skin on his scalp while getting a haircut in Kentucky, where he was working at the time.

'The barber finished and said to me: "Take a look." It looked to me like he had nicked my hair, like cut it too much down to the scalp,' Lee tells Daily Mail Online.

'I told him that he had nicked me and he said, "No I didn’t." We go back-and-forth for minute before I grab the mirror and he shows me that I had a light patch of skin the size of a quarter on the back of my head.'

Concerned, Lee showed the spot to his mother, who told him that it was probably the result of stress and that he shouldn't worry too much. However, not long after, more of the white patches began to appear.

'Another spot came up on the other side of my scalp, another one next to it about the size of two dimes, then some came on my hands, the corners of my mouth and the bridge of my nose,' Lee recalled.

'I knew something was wrong.'

It was a year after that haircut that Lee finally consulted a doctor about the patches - and by then he was working as an entertainment feature reporter for WABC in New York City.

'The doctor told me that I had vitiligo and that my skin was going to change colors. He said there was treatment but no cure,' Lee remembers.

'He kept talking but I didn’t really hear much of anything else because I was in my head thinking my career was over. I was already thinking of what else I could do with my communications degree.'

But then, Lee says, he looked back on how much he had invested in chasing his dream of being a TV reporter - and how many others had helped along the way.

From the junior high school teacher who sent an overly chatty Lee to the drama and debate club, instead of detention, to the college professor who helped him secure financial aid so he could study his craft, Lee concluded: 'Too many people invested in me for me to give up. I knew I had to figure it out.'

Over the next few years, Lee took to covering up his condition with the help of make-up, managing to hide it from those around him.

He says he suffered through many moments of doubt, but found encouragement from his family - in particular from his sister who offered him some advice that he now credits with helping him persevere.

'She said: "If your boss hasn’t said anything, and none of your coworkers have said anything about you leaving the job because your skin is turning a different color... And the only person I hear saying it is you, then stop saying it and just work. And let the chips fall where they fall. So I did.'

His career kept moving forward and he was soon offered the role of entertainment anchor and reporter at WJBK Fox 2 in Detroit.

In the early days he kept his condition hidden, but eventually the disease left Lee's hands completely devoid of color. That's when he decided it was time to stop hiding.

'I had to make a choice because imagine all the things that you touch in one day with your hands. And I would rather people think that I have a disease then think that I am dirty,' he says. 'That's when I stopped covering up my hands.'

Although he revealed his true colors, so to speak, a decade a go, Lee still does cover the condition on his face with make-up - though not for any reasons relating to embarrassment or shame.

'I still wear make-up because I know that, for some people looking at me, [it] can distract them from what I’m actually saying,' Lee explains.

'The stories we cover are about the people that we're talking about or writing about - it’s not about us or me.

'I’ve been in interviews where the person I’m talking to notices my hands or my make-up and they take up some of my time to talk about me. In celebrity interviews you only have about 5 to 10 minutes anyway and I don’t want to spend three of those minutes talking about me.'

Aside from those settings, Lee is happy to show off his make-up-free skin. He has posed for many pictures displaying his natural looks and even appears on the news without make-up on World Vitiligo Day each year.

But something that could have been a career-ender has turned into a career booster for Lee.

He is now an international spokesperson for the disease, is involved in support groups for others with vitiligo in the Detroit area and has inspired people all over the world by sharing his story - both on TV and in his 2007 book, Turning White: A Memoir of Change. He hopes that one day the condition might be so normalized that he can stop wearing make-up at work entirely.

'Today I feel like this disease has made me the man that I always wanted to be,' Lee says. 'I am honorable respectful a good citizen a good father a good brother I am more compassionate and and I have more empathy than I ever thought I could have.'

'I was just a guy trying to survive and this story has turned into so much more. I never could’ve guessed that. As a reporter you want people to look at you, but I never thought telling my story would be the biggest story that I’ve ever talked about.'

Career / Re: Lady Who Just Got A Job Reveals What Happens To Her Each Time She Gets Home by MaeBlocks(f): 4:28pm On Jun 05, 2018
I agree with her 100%
I am a wife, a mother of 2 children who are both under 3 years of age, am a working mum as well (working from 7am to 6pm) so as to enable my husband and I share the bills 50/50.
This gender roles where did it originate from? Surely not from God, its man-made.
So after the day's work, a man will cross his legs and wait for food while the woman battles with preparing the food and also catering for the children at the same time and when she complains, the world of men call her LAZY. That is the highest height of wickedness!!! cry cry cry
If a man is the only provider of the family then the chores and care for the family should be the woman's responsibility. The economy is getting worse by the day and in order for the family to stand well, both husband and wife would need to be bringing something to the table.
And so after a long day at work, jumping from one vehicle to another, sitting in traffics for hours. She gets home, she baths the children, prepares your food.............

Health / Re: Help! My Skin Is Becoming An Eyesore by MaeBlocks(f): 10:37am On Jun 05, 2018
Contact me to try this and thank me later.

Victorgas:
Sometime later year, I started having severe itching and pimple like bumps around the head, back, face and chest regions after I left NYSC camp.

Thinking it was normal water reaction, I started using anti-fungal cream ( funbact A, Skinneal, and Upskin) but it persisted. I visited a pharmacy and some drugs were prescribed (forgotten their names).

I later got an appointment with a dermatologist at a general hospital. After minor examination, a drug(itraconazole) and Nizoral shampoo were prescribed which I've been using but 6 months down the line, no changes.

Is there anyone with a previous similar experience and how was it cured? Your suggestions are welcomed.

Doctors in the house, your suggestions will be appreciated.

Attached are some pictures of the affected areas (graphic)

You really sabi book.
You nailed it 100%

EsotericMonk:
@Edoigho, its called pregnancy blues , and it manifests in preg ladies in different ways.
Some develop a food fad, some become very irritable, some become depressed , etc etc etc.
She is going through the motions, what she needs now is understanding, love, support and some space. Whenever her countenance brightens, try to talk with her if she could let you into how she feels.
Have you guys enroled in an ante-natal (pregnancy) clinic? Pls do so and inform the doctors so they can keep a close watch on her. Cos she is at risk of postpartum blues or even depression which would pose a greater risk to herself and the baby.

My husband is a very good writer, he has a well written children literature novel but publishing is very expensive. Is there a cheap publishing and marketing house we can be referred to?
