Politics / We Will Never Support PDP Again – Igbo Forum by magicfingaz: 9:23pm On Oct 16, 2015
A South-East socio-political organization, Njiko Igbo Forum, has described the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leaders as cowards and bunch of ingrates.

Reacting to PDP’s zoning of its 2019 presidential ticket to the North, the Forum said it was a height of ingratitude to deny the South-East the presidential ticket despite getting block votes from the zone in 2015.

In a communique issued after its emergency meeting in Enugu, signed by its President, Rev. Okechukwu Obioha, the group said, “we consider the recommendation of Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s PDP committee and subsequent approval of PDP’s NWC that 2019 presidential candidate of the party will come from the North as an act of cowardice to electoral victory and ingratitude to Ndigbo.

“What this hasty declaration and politicking means is that if PDP wins in 2019, her candidate (a Northerner) will seek a second term constitutional provision; if the APC wins again in 2019, they will return the Presidency to the S/West and thereby elongating the chances of the South-East to the Presidency of this country-Nigeria.

“This is unacceptable to say the least. Njiko Igbo will intensify her efforts in making sure that any organized and coordinated party that puts up an Igbo as presidential candidate, will have our support.

“We will rather be in opposition than sale our birthright. After all, the S/West had stayed in the opposition for many years now and they are where they are today. Since PDP is hasty and selfish in starting the politics of 2019 Presidency now, Njiko Igbo will be hasty to let them know that we deliberately made a statement in 2015 general elections without apologies, and will repeat this feat in 2019 by rejecting them.

“We are a major partner in this project called Nigeria. We will never support PDP and will vote against her come 2019. We call on all patriotic Onye Igbo in PDP to begin to address their minds come 2019 that PDP will not have the blessing of Ndigbo as far as the Presidency is concerned. We are not visitors in this country-Nigeria.”

The Forum, which is an affiliate of Ohanaeze Ndigbo added that “we express our disappointment on our own Sen Ike Ekweremadu on chairing the committee that did that recommendation in the first instance. He should look for an appropriate fora to apologize for that unpatriotic show.

“We reiterate that Njiko Igbo Forum has no regret for joining forces to vote down APC in the general elections of 2015 especially the Presidency. because we wanted to make a statement. This is why we are not and will not complain of the divisionary tendencies President Mohammed Buhari has shown so far concerning Ndigbo in the running of his government, vis avis every of his appointments made and his support and calculated attempt to have Ndigbo absent in the three tiers of government. It is been very remarkable! This is why we make bold to say that no further appointments will assuage us from believing that we are part of this government.

“We request President Muhammadu Buhari as our Commander in Chief to tread and treat with caution the harassment and arrests of Igbo Indigenes by several security agencies in the guise that they are clamouring for Biafra. The other day, Yoruba Elders openly threatened to secede and declared a war against the Fulani Herdsmen, and nothing has happened to them.

“Yes, Ndigbo may have been defeated in war as declared by Junaid Mohammed and Arewa Consultative Assembly, but we are not vanquished in any way at all. We hold the ace and the scepter of this country. This is a proven fact!”

Politics / 50 French Companies To Meet With Buhari Next Week by magicfingaz: 10:04am On Oct 03, 2015
A delegation of 50 heads of French companies are expected to visit Nigeria next week to explore business opportunities and establish bilateral links in the country, the French Embassy said on Friday.

A statement from Georges Vanin, First Counsellor, Political Affairs and Communication, Embassy of France, said the business delegation was the first of its kind from France to any African country.

The statement said the delegation was organised by the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), France’s leading network of entrepreneurs and the largest employer federation with 800,000 member firms.

According to it, the French companies on the delegation include those in the sectors such as building, transportation, environment, energy and sustainable cities.

“The largest economy and the largest population on the continent, the middle class is emerging in Nigeria, which demand new infrastructures facilities and equipment, but also in services and leisure.”

The statement quoted Mr Pierre Gattaz, President of MEDEF, as saying Nigeria is a land of investments and development for French businesses.

“Nigeria is a land of investments and development for French companies. Africa is our new frontier.

“We are friends and have much to gain by building strong, confident and sustainable business relationships.

“Although France has much to contribute to Africa, but Africa has so much to bring to France,” Gattaz said.

It added that Gattaz would lead the delegation of the 50 companies – small, medium or large – interested in the many opportunities of the Nigerian market.

The statement said Gattaz would lead the delegation to meet President Muhammadu Buhari on Oct. 5 before meeting with the business communities.

It quoted Mr Patrick Lucas, President of the African Committee and Vice-President of MEDEF, as saying that close bilateral relations would be forged between the delegation and the Nigerian counterparts.

“We are excited to lead that delegation in a large English-speaking African country.

“Development opportunities for our businesses are significant and we hope that close bilateral links will be established during our trip to Nigeria,” Lucas said.

The statement said the trip would be an opportunity for many exchanges and meetings with all the representatives of the Nigerian society.

“MEDEF delegation wishes through this to build strong relations with this great country by promoting deals emphasis staff training and local contents,” it said.

"Life Challenges Are A Hidden Treasure"

If life challenges are a treasure, why do very few people desire it? Why isn't everyone searching for it? When I think of treasure, I think of diamonds, mansions, lots of money, etc. I would not naturally say that life challenges, such as grief, are a treasure, especially since so much pain is involved and it takes so long to complete the learning process. In fact, the only thing that keeps me from becoming bitter is that I understand the value of it. I hate the pain, but I have to accept that in order to experience the future blessings. It is all about how I view the situation.
I don't know about you, but the last time I went to the shopping mall, I did not see the following items anywhere on the shelves: God's love being shown more evident than before, certain Bible verse with special meaning, urgency to keep living life in spite of the pain because life is short, unexpected "God" conversations and opportunities, and so much more. These are the intangibles in life that cannot be purchased anywhere in the world.
I would even have to go so far as to say that life challenges are actually one of life's "best kept secrets"...if you change your perspective and learn to respond wisely to it. Don't get me wrong, I do not always want to enjoy a healthy dose of this wonderful secret and if I could experience these benefits another way, I would gladly do so. But at the end of the day, it makes me a better person. And that is what life is all about.
Here are a few treasures I have found as a result of my grief throughout the years:
Growth opportunity like none other and the things I learn are not for sale
Reminds me that the most important things in life are God, my family, and growth opportunities
I am determined to run to Jesus step-by-step
Even though I am grieving, the clock is still ticking, and that's why I keep living...purposefully
Focus my time and energy on the things that matter and do not waste time or opportunities.

In summary, You can still enjoy a great life through life challenges! What counts in life is not what happens to us, but how we respond to it. Consider embracing this new approach to life challenges and find hope every single day, make your life count, and grow through any life challenge. Purpose to enjoy God, family, and professional growth regardless of your circumstances.

Truth is called distraction, APC should tell Nigerian's what they have for them and stop pointing fingers to their opponent. They have forgot what they did to GEJ. The Economy of our nation state is gradually sinking down. Whatever we are enjoying today is the achievements of the past governance. Let PMB introduce his economic policy and stop chasing looted money only from his opponents. Please keep sentiments apart and do what you have promised us. Election is over show us ur blue prints. You are not facing any electoral suit as to say. Please wake up and stop complaining. God bless Nigeria.

Did u read d topic? Cos am sure u did not read the write up. U sound more confused and clueless.

If everyone in federal civil service who did not get recruited through the laid down procedure were to be sacked, more than 70 % of the federal work force will be sacked.

I can help fish out atleast a thousand of them. In Ozaoekpe's voice, quote me anywhere.

Oga DSS is not just civil service, its a security outfit. U don't just employ anybody for d sake of unemployment. By the time dss will start malfunctioning you will be d one to call pmb a dullard. So just move on
