NIGERIA HAS THE BRAIN AND THE MAN POWER TO DEVELOP ITS OWN POWER STATIONS.
It may not be as grand as the ones we have abroad but it will do the job.

My brother schooled in MIT.
He graduated with a degree in electrical engineering and is heading a team developing huge wind energy facilities in europe (ROMANIA).

There are several other Nigerians like him that have tonnes of practical knowledge that could be useful to this country but for some reason, our government will rather hire mediocres.

We should utilize our graduates. Hire young and hungry engineers and charge them with the task of developing a power station and also give them a time-line. Provide the necessary funds and watch them perform wonders.

I AM BEGINNING TO FEEL THAT DEMOCRACY IS NOT REALLY WHAT NIGERIA NEEDS NOW.
WE NEED A MILITARY GOVERNMENT THAT HAS THE PEOPLE AT HEART.
IN ORDER TO DESTROY THE HOLD OF THE CABAL ON THIS COUNTRY, WE NEED SOMEONE WITH A GREAT DEGREE OF POWER AND MILITARY MIGHT.

Its nothing new.
The law does not apply to the slightly affluent in Nigeria.
It only takes strong will to be rich and still obey the law in Nigeria.

Nigeria is the only country i know that is not at war but people can get away with murder.
I can shoot you in the head right in the middle of the street, hop in my car and get away and nothing will happen.

We have an extremely long way to go.

The mere fact that i can sleep one night and wake up with my face splattered all over Nigerian blogs is really scary.
Do you know the amount of ridicule and shame you people have put this couple through?

Nairaland should desist from promoting (making it front page) posts on people going about their personal activities with appropriate permission from the person. AT LEAST BLUR THE PERSON'S FACE.
