Actually I rate Onyedinma of Millwall higher than Ademola. Sometimes you need some steel in the midfield and someone that I have been looking at with promise is Chuks Aneke one time promising Arsenal midfielder.

There has been talk about Chuba Akpom for me has been unable to make the step up from youth football to senior football, for me he is not ready.

However the trio of Solanke, Tega and Ike at Chelsea are looking dangerous. There are a multitude of others like Ovie at Liverpool and Onomah at Tottenham, but I am not totally convinced yet.

When I talked about the U17, I was being indicative and certainly not definitive or comprehensive with regards to youth football.

With regards to your point 2, in that 2009 tournament we got to the final and our boys won the Golden ball, bronze ball and the silver shoe. But they are all playing in low rated teams and not going anywhere fast. Considering that Mario Gotz, Neymar, Isco, Bertrand Traore, Morita, all played in that tournament but are playing in the top teams in Europe. Is that your idea of progress

Your assertion in point 5, about England having an abysmal record in youth competitions is not in dispute. I refer you to my comments about the Toulon tournament 2016 which England won and why. English youth players at the top of thier game are playing in top premiership teams and are not released for age group competitions. In addition they the players often decline cause they are already in senior national team.

The purpose of winning youth competitions is to institute development and forward progression for Youth players. With all the youth competitions we have won, where are Nigerians youth players playing and where are England youth players playing . Rashford 19, Ssegnon 16, Dele 20, Kane 23, Reece Oxford 18, Barkley 23, Stones 22, Raheem 22, Harry Winks 21, Rueben Loftus-Cheek 20, Joe Gomez, Tom Davies 18, I will stop here this list is not exhaustive.
