Ex-Flying Eagles Skipper Named In Team Of The Week In The Netherlands
Abdul Ajagun has been named in the Eredivisie Team of the Week for his performance against Ryan Sanusi's Sparta Rotterdam this past weekend.
The ex-Flying Eagles captain put in an impressive display and scored two goals for Roda JC in their 3-1 win over the opponents.
Foxsports awarded Ajagun thirteen points and a spot in midfield alongside Mahi (FC Groningen), Davy Propper (PSV Eindhoven) and Django Warmerdam (PEC Zwolle).
The attacking midfielder managed to complete the game against Sparta despite sustaining an injury after scoring his first goal.
The 24-year-old is spending the whole of this season on loan at Roda JC before returning to his parent club Panathinaikos.

komekn: It's light hearted sarcasm Chuba has done ok infact exceptional in youth football, but has not been able to make the transition to senior football.
Played 77 competitive league games in three divisions for different clubs on loan from Arsenal and scored 7. He is a striker that is not exceptional. you even know him more than us and this post make me know more about him but why ask about his goals when the article was about him and the team gaining promotion |

BascoVanVeli: I don't get it, is it because he plays foe arsenal? Why don't u stand up for Taiwo Awoniyi like this, is it because he was a Manu boy? Nobody has looked his way yet every week people talk about how badly he has dropped. you don't understand it you are thinking he is defending him, is just that the article was not related to what he said and you see i don't know why you are mixing it with something else |

terzurum5: Egwuekwe Scores Own Goal To Cancel Out Gbolahan Salami Opener As KuPS Win Thriller In Finland
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/image-69.jpg
Forgotten Super Eagles defender Azubuike Egwuekwe scored at the wrong end minutes after his Nigerian counterpart Gbolahan Salami has given his side the lead but still ended on the winning side as KuPS edge a thrilling contest 2-1 against FC Inter.
Salami netted his first goal of the two games old Finnish League in the 28th minute but nine minutes later Egwuekwe scored an own goal to bring scores to 1-1, a score which FC Inter maintained till the half time break.
Twelve minutes from full time, Egwuekwe costly error was redeemed by Ats Purje who netted what ended as the winner to hand KuPS their first win of the season in what was their first game at home this season,
They started their campaign with a 0-2 loss away to HJK last weekend, and so far all three Nigerian players on their books with Rueben Gabriel completing the trio have all played in the games, although Gabriel has twice been introduced as a substitute.

[quote author=TheGoodJoe post=55648027][color=#000099] I have said this repeatedly but you guys continue to drown in hilarious misconception.
Iheanacho must not grow under Guardiola but I believe his methods is a perfect fit for Nacho. It I not just about Nacho but my idea of player development.
A precise example is John Stones. He is now one of my best defenders in the game, even when City is having a bad game. The Monaco loss is a good example.
The open style and high defense line made Stones more mobile. He is more confident on the ball and expresses himself more with the ball.
There are few clubs in the game that play with more bravery than City.
I like Sanchez for his work rate, dropping deep to build plays, mobility, high press, tracking back. The formula Guardiola plays and trains his players demands this from his front line. This in turn makes players strive for the kind of vigor Sanchez shows.
It is not easy to find a club that can keep Iheanacho on his toes working hard through the clubs training and playing formula. If he leaves, it is up to him to work hard to maintain the discipline.
THEN GO AND TELL RONALDO TO PLAY LIKE MESSI TO WIN WORLD BEST PLAYEY
every player has his style of play and you must not play like any body to become a better player. Let others also copy his style of play. |

TheGoodJoe: Is Iheanacho better than Aguero? Especially when you consider Aguero dropping deep and building plays. Gabriel Jesus also does this better than Nacho. Iheanacho is improving but he is not up to their level yet.
It was easier for Sane because he only had Nolito ahead of him on the left side attack. If City seals Neymar, Sane will go back to the bench. if kelechi spent 1 month drilling and still no game time. one thing that comes to my mind is that he is not catching what the coach is teaching him. Then he may spent 10 years drilling. |

pazienza: Some crazy stuffs going on here. How can a human being with brain cells blame Sanchez for Arsenal woes?
Sanchez has been the only good thing about Arsenal this season. Without him, Arsenal would be in relegation battle.
Ozil is useless. Cashing on him is the best thing for Arsenal this summer. Sell Ozil, Welbeck, Monreal,Wilshere, Debuchy, Ramsey, Gabriel, Cech, Ospina, Walcott,Giroud. Loan Iwobi to Southampton to go learn football. Use the the proceeds to keep Sanchez and rebuild the club.
Bring our Roma keeper back. Martinez to serve as his deputy.
And oh! Chase Wenger away with stones from Emirates. If he won't leave, knock some concussion in him with heavy stones! Useless old fool. sell iwobi not loan |

TheGoodJoe: I doubt the aim should just be about making a big move in a short time. The aim should focus on his growth. With a longer history at Celtics, scoring loads will land him on a higher level than just what he has already done.
Moving to Liverpool as a quality Eupen player is a different League from moving to Liverpool as a quality Celtics player. With Celtics he would also have Champions League rep under his name.
Wish Onyekuru the best. Totally against a move to Arsenal. i think staying in belgium was the best thing and now he may even win the MVP of african decent in the league which will boost his profile |

tbaba1234: It is not always about being good. If a team has to fill a position between a russian and him of similar quality, they will go with the Russian because they have to play 6 russians in every team ok i understand your point of view. But he is not ready to take the risk to play for Nigeria then i think we should look else where |

tbaba1234: It is true. That was the advice his coach gave him. It is fairly old news though.
Declaring for Nigeria will reduce his market value in russia. Every team in Russia have to play 6 players eligible for the russian national team. It can even affect game time. except he is not good, a team can not bench their best player because of not playing for their country e.g zaha. So if dele alli had played for nigeria he will be on the bench for his club? |

Humility017: ” When Brian received the offer to play for Nigeria, he turned to me for advice. My position was simple. I recommend him to take time to develop his skills, to become better and stronger and hope that he’ll get the opportunity to play for the Russian national team. If that doesn’t happen , he can always come back and talk with the Nigerian national team”, Gadzhiev amkar perm manager said.
if this words are true...and this lad yield to this dull manager's advice...he should never come near Nigeria's camp...they take Nigeria as a dumping ground...nonsense
it is so painful we won't be participating in this year under 20 world cup...so believe we could have gone far in the tourney and stars will be discovered and absolved in the SE
to be true if less than 20% of Nigerians who reside in Europe could produce players we all clamouring for their inclusion in SE... how much more the 80% back home...
the problem we have been having is mismanagement...think they're more good players in Nigeria than diaspora if this is true, he should not come near the SE camp, how can a player like this give his 101% to Nigeria? |

otezu5: NFF Disagrees With Rohr On Ola Aina – He Is Yet To Commit To Nigeria, But Akpom Switch Is Likely
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/image-60-768x1024.jpg
The international future of Chelsea full back Ola Aina is yet to be sorted out despite claims by coach of the senior Nigeria national team Gernot Rohr about the teen full back pledging his international future to Nigeria ahead of England.
Rohr confirmed during an interview on popular Sports Radio station in Nigeria BrilaFm that Aina has committed his future to the Super Eagles, but a top official of the Nigeria Football Federation, who spoke with respected Nigerian journalist Oluwashina Okeleji says the England youth international is yet to fully commit to Nigeria.
The NFF source however confirmed that the football house has started processing the switch of Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom , who according to the source has shown more commitment than Aina. He however ruled out any immediate approach for Everton Ademola Lookman who is reportedly keen on progressing through the youth ranks of the English national team.
” He (Aina) trained with us in March. We haven’t applied for his switch because he hasn’t given us his full commitment. It’s very difficult with Ademola Lookman because he feels he is a key player for England youth side. But we’ve made positive steps with Akpom”, the NFF source told Okeleji.
