Danielnino00: Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Sequel to my post yesterday where I expressed my intention to take over the responsibility of organising the annual Nairaland Nigeria Football award as requested by Icon4s this year, I'm glad to announce that the award would go ahead as planned, and I'll be coordinating it with Drklever.
Three people from this thread will join the nomination committee alongside me and Drklever, with icon4s being a honorary member.
On this note, members of the thread are to nominate 3 monikers they wish to be part of the committee. Unlike how it was previously done where we would nominate only one moniker, I suggest we nominate 3 each so as to make it more flexible and have more people nominated. Here's how the nomination selection will be sorted; 3 points would be awarded to the first name nominated, 2 points to the second and 1 point to the last. Example: I nominate Danielnino00, Drklever and icon4s. in this case, Danielnino00 will have 3 nomination point, Drklever will have 2 and icon4s will have 1. At the close of the nomination process, the 3 monikers with the most points will be added to the committee. Any moniker that's selected to the committee but doesn't wish to participate for any reason whatsoever will be replaced by the another one from below the top 4. Nomination starts now and close on Monday, December 27th 2021.
Danielnino00: The year is almost at an end and we haven't been able to start anything about the annual Nairaland Nigeria Football award started by Chief icon4s a few years ago. I'd hate to see us miss out on this year edition, seeing as the award as become sort of like a traditional part of this thread. On this note, I hereby volunteer to coordinate the award this year as requested by icon4s. However, I will be limited to coordinating it online only, meaning I won't be able to tak over the responsibility of having the award designed or delivered to the glass house.
Anybody that wish to join me in coordinating it should please indicate. Thank you.
Kog45: I have said it without number that what eagles need is Ebuehi and Aina as fullbacks...I read some analysis on Zaidu and Collins and I was just laughing....apart from playing for Porto, nothing really special about Zaidu and Collins was damn below average.
Aina I watched in Torino as LB/LWB is better than Zaidu and Collins.
Ebuehi just need more games in Seria A to be back into shape....the guy can do it as RB/RWB.
For God sake having versatile players like Ebuehi and Aina should be a plus.
did you watch him at Santa Clara? some times these players plays according to instructions
andrewbaba44: How come they trust him enough to play all their champions league games ?
One of their match you watched ,anyone can have a bad game ,so you are judging with one of their match that they didn’t pass to him meant they don’t trust him
Like seriously I have been impressed by Chuks ,he just need more game time at Laliga ,he hasn’t disappointed ,he scored against Barca from the bench and their last game against Sociedad
We are watching sha
LOL is Ekong on loan at Villarreal? see Alaves second goal
komekn: Tega Abraham has been a consistent, continuous and outstanding Striker and goal scorer from day one since he started playing football.
As a mere teenager he smashed the Championship at Btistol City and was a top goal scorer, he did the same at Aston Villa. In his first full Of Premier League season 2019/20 he scored 15 Goals in the EPL, he was Chelsea top goal scorer. last season he was also Chelsea top goal scorer despite being relegated to the bench for Lesser players, for reasons UNKNOWN.
There is absolutely no comparison of Tega and KC one has been consistently outstanding and the other consistently mediocre.
Tega has gone to Seria A and has continued.
What has KC done over 5 seasons in the EPL with Leicester after 106 games just 22 goals. He had a very good season 2020/21 with 12 goals. After 3 seasons of shambolic impotency, he finally came alive. He deservedly got a lucrative contract extension until 2024.
I said then that the true test will be CONSISTENCY and CONTINUITY in the 2021/22 season if indeed there has been true progression, not just a one season wonder or flash in the pan.
There are 22 games left of the season can he score 10 goals before season end ,that would be outstanding. He has played 10 games and scored 1 goal.
What you practice is bias and double be standard creating a different standard of measurement to suit a Nigerian player.
KC was classed as a big flop by almost be all pundits and media outlets. Has that tag changed ,only time will tell.
You introduced the comparison of Tega Abraham not me. They are on Totally different levels in every department of the game. Below YouTube clip just be to remind you.
komekn: He had one very poor game his first of the season and flopped badly.
But according to Arsenal he has been doing very well in training.
On the other hand can any of our goalkeepers make Arsenal reserve keeper slot ❓
