chukwudi44: what is there to investigate if the accuser fails to show up? Besides only an elction petition tribunal can handle this matter. The last time i checked, the election petition tribunal in ekiti has finuished sitting Don't mind them. They're are just making emotional rant without understanding the nature of the matter itself. They failed to understand that anybody can make a video of anything for the purpose of blackmail to fit their set objectives. It's like someone accusing an individual of embezzling millions without hard-core evidence to proof it. If the soldier has no ulterior motive, why go into hiding |

Politics › Re: Between Jonathan And Buhari (1) by major466(m): 5:36pm On Feb 24, 2015 |
In contradistinction, Major General Muhammadu Buhari toppled the Nigerian Constitution on the last day of 1983 in order to become the Military Head of State. The common denominator here is that both men attained the political leadership of the country, Jonathan by the people’s mandate and Buhari through the barrel of the gun. What more can I add? This says it all. GEJ is a Democrat. Buhari on the other hand is pretending to be a Democrat. Until he apologize to Nigerians for his actions in the 1983 - 1985 military rule, I will continue to regard him as hater of democracy. |

Am not surprised that some faceless individuals are not happy with the successes of the Nigerian military as they battle terrorism. They did it before when they conspire with Boko Haram to negotiate a fake seize fire. They almost succeeded. Their plan was to put in slime and spikes on government's effort to root out terrorist. Sorry, but it will not work this time. No amount of lies and propaganda will stop the current momentum as our military team up with Chad, Niger Republic and Cameroon to fight Boko Haram. |

Politics › Re: Egypt Calls For A Nigeria-Egypt Led Force Against ISIS In Libya by major466(m): 2:30pm On Feb 24, 2015 |
sCun: Why do you Nigerians worship anything foreign? Boko haram is also a terrorist organisation present in 4 African countries. Why is Egypt not fighting them now so that they don't spread through to Egypt? You are talking about ISIS spreading to Niger and Chad before coming here, but they will need to cover the whole of Libya first! As it is now they only occupy a small part of Libya very far from the bother with Chad and Niger. Boko haram on the other hand, are already present in those 2 countries (Chad and Niger), why is Egypt not fighting them yet? If Egypt were a border country close to Nigeria, they would have been part of the regional force to fight Boko Haram. But they're not. So, Nigeria is restricted to team up with Border countries to tackle Boko Haram. Boko Haram and IS may be similar in their operations and approach in carving out territories for themselves but ISIS is much more deadly because they're rich and well armed with sophisticated American weapons. Plus they control almost half of Iraq. Remember Iraq is an oil producing country. The Nigerian President is already pushing for an African security outfit through regional Associations and the African Union to fight Terrorism as a whole. When this plan comes to light, Boko Haram, IS, Alshabab and other terrorist groups would be dealt with simultaneously. |

Tandullceblog: Yeah, I know they are a real threat and I know they can pair with BH and d odas, dat can happen... but it hasn't happened, how about we do not stir up trouble. yeah Nigeria should be watchful and all that but let's not start something that might not have occurred if we didn't put our heads were we not supposed to. It's not like we have the ability to start a war with them and defeat them. We are still struggling here. The fact that IS is not an immediate thread to Nigeria doesn't mean we should let them to continue wrecking havoc in North Africa. ISIS, just like any terrorist group have agendas to terrorise as much countries as possible to establish their own version of Sharia Law. The earlier Nigeria team up with Egypt and other African countries to stop them from spreading down to Niger Republic, Chad and Mali the better for us. Remember, ISIS has overun much of Iraq and Syria no thanks to the American government. |

I think it's a good idea that Nigeria and Egypt spearhead the fight against ISIS in Libya considering the fact that both Nations have experience dealing with terrorist groups. These wealth of experience will come in handy as we join hands to fight IS. Nigeria may not land in ground troops immediately but we can help in the area of intelligence and funding. Nigerians need to understand that fighting terrorism is not a one country affair. It's a fight for all nations. |

There's no other way to describe such insanity. Their plan is to put spikes on the wheel of progress and water down the prospect of the military capturing Shekau alive as the regional military force close in on Boko Haram. |
