Dear theologians and bible scolars in the house, I need more information about ''Standing in the gap''. At what level can a christian in his/her spiritual journey in christ stand in the gap? What are the dangers? Can a christian stand in the gap for his family members?

Too early to celebrate. Electricity supply ususally peak around August and September every year due high volume of water in Hydro Stations nationwide. Lets wait and see whether the current electricity supply will be maintain in dry season from October to December.

Very touching story, I think Iceland and Swedish authorities need to temper his case with mercy.
But how did the op know he (Eze) was lying about his family being targets of boko haram huh

Is he not aware that lots of christian settlements in Bornu, Yobe and Adamawa are constantly under boko haram attack huh

What if Eze's family were from one of these settlements huh

Does the op know that Chibok town (where Chibok girls were abducted by terrorist) in Bornu state is predominantly non muslim community huh

Besides, Nigerians of various ethnicities and background are scattered all over the country.
Rather than throw up wild allegations, it will do well for journalist to investigate their stories well before complicating people's lives with baseless conjectures.

The So called intelligence report linking Goodluck Jonathan to NDA looks more like assumptions n conjectures based on questionable sources. More like unproven hypothesis. Besides the fact that both reports in The Nation and DailyTrust newspapers possesses stricking resemblance to MEND's own allegations against Goodluck shows that it could be a carbon copy of MEND's report. That is far from a standard intelligence report.
This is nothing but a political vendetta to dent a percieved political rival's image.

My heart is heavy, weary and broken about the life I'm living in Nigeria. nobody needs to fast, see a prophet and go some extra mile just to have the basic needs in life in America. However when that happens here, you have got to visit TV Joshua for thanksgiving. ...

I know exactly how you feel. If I had my way, I did leave this country and never come back.

Of couse I understand that S.2(1) of 1999 Nigerian constitution states that; ''Nigeria is one indivisible and indissoluble Sovereign State to be known by the name of the Federal Republic of Nigeria''.
However by virture of Nigeria's signatory to Articles of United Nations Chatter on Human Rights, Section 2 subsection 1 of the 1999 constitution is subservient to International law. That section itself is a contradiction to articles on human rights.
You can't claim to be a respecter of human rights on one hand then stiffle Freedom of Self Determination on the other.

In light of what is currently happening concerning freedom of expression where Nigerian soldiers have been drafted to confiscate Newspaper articles the govt don't like, I think IPOB members and supporters, both in Nigeria and abroad got to sue this govt at the Hague for infringing on their fundamental human rights to association, peaceful assembly and free speech.
Right to Self Determination and freedom of experssion are cardinal articles enshrined in the United Nations Chatter of human rights, the very chatter Nigeria is signatory of.
Nigerian govt cannot hide under any guise to infringe on citizens rights to freedom of expression. By virture of Nigeria's membership to United Nations, International law and the Chatter for Human Rights which were drafted under the auspices of United Nation supercede whatever law Nigerian govt is using to justify its actions.

Some comments here are not only disgusting but outrightly wicked devoid of humanity. It makes me wonder whether I share the same country with monsters rather than humans. To even think that these individuals see nothing wrong with the way this poor ophan girl was brutally tortured like an animal simply because she was caught having sex is disgusting.
For starters, no one is perfect. We all have fallen short one way or the other in the cause of our lives. We all did things we are not proud of during our teen years. For that reason, as people born of impefection, it is expected that we treat those who have fallen short with love an humanity. No one is saying sexual promiscuity among teens is good. As a matter of fact it should be discouraged. But correcting a person who has fallen short to the point of torture and dehumanization is not correction but outright wickedness. You think some of these teenage girls started engaging in sexual activities just like that out of the blue huh

Do you know how many children (especially female children) are being abused in our society today huh

It takes two to tangle.
Many people have no idea what these girls went through. Many of you have no idea the kind of sexual molestation they went through the hands of their relatives, uncles, cousins, friends and even fathers in some cases.
Recently I was engaging with a popular american porn star on facebook. Yes, alot of us see them as trash because of their career choices. But they are also humans like us with dreams and aspirations. Dreams to impact positively in the society. Unfortunately, their childhood dreams were derailed by child abusers.
This particular porn star's life history was that of child abuse, betrayal and pain. She was sexually molested by her own uncle when she was a child. An uncle she thought was her protector. A man she thought was supposed to be her second parent and shield her from harm. Family member betrayal is painful.
As she wrote about her life on her timeline, I could sense her pain, her anger and sadness, all because those she trusted to protect her ended up taking advantage of her. But reading through her story, I saw a strong woman. A strong willed determined woman who was not going to allow her childhood life circumstances keep her down. She lifted herself up despite what she went through in the hands of her uncles and cousins. She was determined not to depend on anyone for a peny.
I may not like her career choice as an adult entertaiment star, but I do not judge her for that either, because I know she did what she had to do to survive and take care of herself and children. Today she's doing well doing her thing and raising lovely kids.
What am trying to say is that we should not be quick to judge people because of wrongs they did cos you don't know their life history and the things they went through. When a person commits a wrong, we should correct him/her lovinly with care having in mind they we ourselves are not perfect - not torturing them like animals.
