in the the Nigerian theological space; religious skepticism has been grossly misrepresented or regarded as atheism. there is a significant difference. religious skepticism question religious authority and are not necessarily anti-religious but skeptical of specific or all religious beliefs and/or practices. although, majority of skeptics are agnostics and atheists, but there are also a number of religious people that are skeptical of religion. with this in mind, skepticism is a part of atheism, but it isn't meant to define the nature of atheism. IMO, most skeptics are individuals who have a personal vendetta against the religion; also, most skeptics are usually new "converts" into atheism just eager to voice out their new found perspective on the subject of religion ![]() in it's truest form, atheism has nothing to do with criticizing and questioning religious beliefs; can you really be free from the shackles of religion if you're still obsessed with disproving it? hell no! you're in the same mental prison, just in a different cell. that's why I feel most skeptics haven't achieved true atheism which is the total detachment from all religious matters. a brief description of true atheism would be our "belief" in Santa Claus ![]() do I believe a jolly, slightly obese Caucasian man wearing a red coat and has some Game of Thrones type of beard is going to crawl down my chimney to leave me presents on Dec 25th? hell no! but do I spend precious seconds of my life trying to disprove his existence? nope! because I know he's not real, he's just a character invented by society. |
paulolee:lol, it's not like that at all... most "working boys" do a really poor job at covering their internet footprint. especially when dem just start work. it's relatively easy to trace them. VPN doesn't really help. stay safe bro. |
his entire brand revolves around internet fraud. but he draws the line at homosexuality? Bella wen dey bomb for Grindr that year ![]() ![]() economically, it's a wise move sha Nigeria has a huge market for products directed at fanatical Christians. if he manages to capture that market, he's set for the next few years. (if you see the whip that the major distributor of Goya Olive Oil is cruising around in, you'll know that the Lord's business is moving ) |

jaxxy:I see modified watermelons almost everywhere; on the internet as well as inside the wheelbarrow of an aboki ![]() |
Matheusmartin:most food items these days have been genetically modified. even the so called "organic" products. carrots, corn or watermelon (even the "organic" Nigerian kind) are soooooo different from how they were a few centuries ago. cool down with the cancer-fear mongering

it's all smoke and mirrors, no one looks like this in real life; know this and know peace. |
I really respect the brains behind luxurious brands! like seriously, it takes a genius to psychologically manipulate a large proportion of the population to crave a product with little or no intrinsic value ![]() furthermore, the brainwashing has gotten to a point whereby people that do not fall for the faux allure of "luxurious" items are termed suffer heads ![]() for Pete's sake, it's a tiny ass bag!!! |
wasol:not everything has a subminimal message... it's just an emoji she appended to the end of her mother's name. that's all. |
not to spark a gender debate or anything... i'm just curious as to how some men develop this mindset towards women? is it due to environmental or innate factors? https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/index.php/2021/3/how-can-someone-who-bends-down-to-urinate-rule-us-that-stand-to-urinate-male-students-of-fed-poly-nekede-object-as-a-woman-contests-for-sug-president.html

very valid points; I still don't know why the government decided to ban a plant. ![]() besides, the ease at which anyone can procure marijuana in Nigeria is alarming... it makes you question the relevance of the NDLEA ![]() why not just make it legal and generate revenue from it? |
my only issue with the ZugaCoin is that the archbishop used his face as the symbol ![]() what type of narcissistic asshole does that? @OP you listed some really valid points, I hope people get to see this article before investing. |

real estate in Nigeria is just sad tbvh where do I start from? is it the uninspired architecture that is tagged as "ultramodern"? or should we look at the utter lack of taste when it comes to interior design or the scam we all love to believe in called Lekki/Epe axis. |
porthouse7:I also saw the article, but I don't think it was an isolated event. I stumbled upon another article that valued a marlin caught by Michael Jordan at $3.3 million I still haven't found out a clear reason why the fish is so seemingly expensive... |
default Nokia ringtone. i fear people who use songs as their ringtones; idk why whom do i fear more? people who use their own pictures as their wallpaper. such a display of casual narcissism. scary! |
