like I read harness encourages the pulling. ...watch Caesar Milans video on youtube tho I don't have a link......while walking stop regularly and cuddle or play with your dog even while cars are passing on the other side. ...your body language makes her know if you're calm or scared that she'll charge.....it doesn't take a day so patience is required. ....choke chain isused only to walk and remove it after walking. ....when she charges forward; pull her back hard but not too hard......also reduce the length of the chain or leash so she'll just by your side....just what I did and I adopted the dog at 2yrs and now I can walk him like I raised him myself

My caucasian use 2 do it too but I walked him often especially on busy roads so he got use 2 seeing vehicles and I also read using harness encourages pulling and so....read it up too.....I use choke chain instead tho only on walks

Thanks bro and to think that I bought the harness because of her pull pull buh with her level of energy the choke chain could injure her that was why I stopped using it.

Petlanders meet my girl Nancy, she's 14month old, very active and full of energy. My major challenge with Nancy is the beef she has for vehicles mostly vehicles in motion, as she attacks on sight, well most times its hilarious when she does it but this makes it dangerous walking her because she tries to attack every vehicle she sees.
Anybody in the house who has faced this problem and can proffer solutions. Thanks.

August 2, 2015 – Lagos State Government has said it will prosecute owners of animals that stray out of confinement within the Lagos metropolis.

A statement from the Ministry of Agriculture noted that government would no longer fold its arms and allow the menace to persist, adding that the menace has continued despite awareness campaign embarked upon by the state on the danger of stray animals.

“Apart from causing accidents on our roads, these stray animals could also spread contagious diseases such as anthrax, rabies, tuberculosis and other ailments that could lead to death”, the statement signed by Assistant Director, Public Relations, Mr. Tubonsun Ogunbanwo noted.

It added that government is sending Agric-Marshals to all the Local government areas and local council development areas in the state as part of its stray animal control policy.

It warned that it would no longer tolerate the culture of releasing cattle at night along major roads and highways in the metropolis.

It called on residents not to panic but move to a safe place when they come across stray animals such as cows, horses, dogs, pigs, rams, goats, monkeys etc., and officials of the ministry on these dedicated lines 08077775657, 08057761762, 07033348402 and 08023934920 for immediate action.

Good morning petlanders, I have two bitches(a gsd and a boerboel). They are 6 month plus and got their second and third vaccination 7th of July 2015 respectively.My friend living opposite my house has two bitches also (a gsd and a rottie) of Six and Four month respectively . Sadly, yesterday we lost the rottie "WEST" (sail on West, we'll miss you but till memory fades and life departs, you live forever in our hearts.) West got her second vaccination the same day my bitches got theirs by the same vet. West fell ill of Diarrhea and died perhaps due to ignorance and negligence . West fell ill past two weeks and was managed till it got really serious Last week Thursday when she stopped feeding but kept stooling and vomiting (no blood in stool and vomit). She was taken to the vet on Saturday and died on Sunday , when God calls his creature who dares recall? My friends Gsd is ok and no sign of illness, my bitches came in contact with my friend shortly after West passed. Now i'm asking if they are exposed to any risk and if so what measures can be taken. Thanks.
