Thanks for being peacemakers in a polite and sensible manner! Simple communication skills will clearly highlight the difference between finely bred individuals and the untrained sophomoric class anytime and anywhere. Sometimes, it is just sacrosanct to let certain uncouth persons know where they belong lest they mistake their posts as sensible. That being said, I like everyone else hope this process will be over soonest so this, so that this thread which has become a playing group for all manner of quisters, ignoramuses and frivolous speculators could finally fulfil its intended purpose. From the way insults are being hurled right, left and centre on this platform, my only deduction is that APLs are imminent. Recall that every milestone during this recruitment process is preceded by a couple of pages of mind bugling insults and counters. I rest my case.

The final drafted list by DPR is with FCC now, is just matter of days before messages will start flying. If you have anyone at FCC head quater you can confirm from him. All the best guys

I would like to call to your attention that this is a very insensitive comment.
No one forced you to be here, so if you find the arguments unnecessarily boring, do the needful. And by the way, it all these arguments that you called unnecessary have kept this thread alive for like two years now. If not for them, this thread would have been somewhere on nairaland rotten away.
Another thing is, years to come, this thread will help the new applicants greatly. Imagine we have a thread this long from other recruitment years. At least our anxiety will be reduced as we will know how patient we should be.
You can't just come here and ask question without due regard for the people like we owe you an answer. Even if you read some pages before commenting, I am sure you must have seen enough speculations about 'possible dates' they will contact, but no, you sha won show over seriousness.
Please let's learn to respect everyone, this is a public forum not private space.

I laughed when I saw your statistical example which I see as nothing but an inherited stereotype belief from your ancestors that the south is more intelligent than the north. Why not? Guy, this is just to let you know that the list is with fcc and not more three people have access to it. Fingers crossed

So I tried to extract some information for us, to know exactly what's going on. But unfortunately I couldn't get much. Here are the little I have.
1. The head of corporate services and his team are done with Abuja. My source categorically confirmed that whatever "it is in Abuja they cooking" concerning the list is done. Because they have left Abuja today. Next week Monday they will be in their offices in Lagos. And this is an indication that they've hand over the list to FCC for vetting. He could not confirm 100%, but the body language says it all.
2. My source also says it's possible they hold the joint meeting. Because usually it's after the joint meeting that fcc will normally take the list with them for further assessment.
3. This one is for those saying the recruitment is hijacked. Someone very big from top tried to bring in his candidates, but they refused because they (the applicants) performed terribly in exams and interview. This sends clear message that the recruitment is merit base. And the sons of nobody will get this job.
4. Finally again my source asked the insider when should the applicants start expecting calls? And they said any moment from now. But before 16th of this month.

That's all I know. Let's hope they keep to their words.

This is what I know so far.
- The head of corporate services and his HR team were super busy this week. In fact they stay in Abuja office daily till 9-10pm. This is to show you how serious they want to complete this recruitment.
- We should also thank Mr. Shakur again and again for his effort in making sure the recruitment is base on merit. My source says about 90% will get it on merit.
- Total number of applicants selected is less than 300.
- By all indications, the list will reach FCC this week. That's the good news.
- Those who have relatives working with FCC can also help us with more info when the list reach them.

I pray May we be among the successful applicants. Amen!

I did not want to post concerning this recruitment exercise but at this point I need to voice out. Human resource department and the recruitment body for this exercise are strict to a fault; they are like SSS...you can't get any information out of them because 'almost' all they do is done in strict confidentiality. Come to think of it; why are all the updates we're getting contradicting and not correlating?

I'm only saying we should be patient and not depend solely in what 'on person' says.

Because of this rumour, my source has to place a call this evening to one of the decision makers. It was on loud speaker and his/her response was "Well, maybe there are two dprs, but for us, we don't call anyone..."

OK to God who made me, the heavens and the earth. My friend was called on Friday last week. A girl though. She said and unknown number called her . when she picked the man sounded Hausa so she was almost cutting when the person asked if he is unto ...... And she said yes and he said he is from DPR that he just wants to verify her course of study and the school she finished from and also what she applied for and the guy said he would get back to her soon. She said she used tru caller to check and it was indeed registered with an hausa name with dpr by the side. She applied for HR (gt) So yes some people have been called. While some haven't.

The Chairman of FCC wrote to DPR that he will be attending a function, so the meeting was rescheduled to another date yet to be disclosed.

Yes....100 for OND which they have already given them their APL while 300 for GT and EH and the second batch which will be by the end of march or April will be the same number as the first batch...
